I don't know how their ads are being approved for public consumption, they will advertise to take loan of 100k and pay 100,500 back but once you take the loan, they will ask you to pay 160k back and you will be wondering how 100,500 turned to 160k.

Sometimes, some universities make their programs unnecessarily difficult with so many banana peels on the way due to high number of students doing the programme as against the number such university is allowed to graduate! So, his not doing well at UNN doesn't mean he isn't intelligent enough to study medicine or any other course in another university!

Since he was expelled on account of poor performance at UNN and not cultism or any other infringement, there shouldn't be any reason to stop him from writing JAMB again and seeking admission into another university. Or does the law say that once one is expelled from a university, one shouldn't try another university?

Nigerian private employers are some of the most heartless and evil people on earth. Even the missionary i.e church-owned establishments. They'll pay you peanuts and still expect you to work your butt off for them!

I know that even the government agencies are not paying well compared to the wages in other labour-friendly countries, but the private and missionary ones are evil! I think NLC need to start paying more attention to private employers in this country and the plights of private -sector employees. It's too bad!

If the private sector can at least improve their pays and stop casualisation of workers, it'll help Nigeria solve her unemployment problems to a very large extent.

The rate at which Nigerians die early is really worrisome! Just at 61? While in the west, people live so long until they end up in old people's homes!

I honestly would blame this on our poor healthcare system. Nigerians don't get anything close to quality healthcare and it's quite unfortunate.

People do hold meetings on Mondays especially now that some places in the southeast still observe sit-at-home on Mondays. Many now use Monday evenings to hold meetings and get-togethers.

Ebonyians are my great neighbours in my Enugu community and we have existed peacefully without any problems for so long.

I believe that increasing the retirement age to 65years will help curtail this issue of age falsification. Many reasons contribute to why people falsify their age, including delays in school caused by ASUU strike.

I'm sure your dad gave you basic and even post basic education. If that's the case, the onus is on you to utilise that and fend for yourself. Even if he didn't give you education, it is still your responsibility to enter the street, learn good skills or trades and make money for yourself. But in this generation, children spend greater parts of their lives pursuing western education only to come back home afterwards to still depend on their parents. It's too bad!

Ask yourself, how much wealth did your father inherit from his own father? It's mostly likely he inherited little to nothing! So, what magic do you expect him to perform Remember there's nothing much in civil service except if one is in an organisation that has opportunities to loot!

So, in a nutshell, stop blaming your old man, see it like he did what he did based on his own capability and try hard to surpass him. Try hard to improve on those areas you think he made mistakes so that your sons will not call you useless father someday.
