dominique:Agreed to which terms and conditions? Were you there to ascertain that the terms were clearly spelt out for the boy That guy did well by exposing Ekweremadu for trying to take advantage of the poor impoverished Nigerians just the way other Nigerian politicians do. It's unfortunate that his father died, and who says he wouldn't have died had the event not taken place? The old man simply died the way other poor Nigerians have been dying due to poverty and a neglected healthcare system, sensationalism aside. |
Improved power supply nationwide Yet Emeka Ofor and EEDC have thrown Enugu state into darkness! This one is Igbo killing his own Igbo brothers o, making me to wonder if it wouldn't have been better to sell EEDC to a non-Igbo entrepreneur! This is how Emeka Ofor uses his connection to ASO rock and their Ogboni cult to squander and corner federal benefits due for the southeast! Federal government should please stop giving contracts for projects in Igboland to Emeka Ofor! That man has killed the region for his selfish interests! Enough is enough! |
And after reading this agonisingly heartbreaking post, somebody would expect me to be patriotic to this cursed nation Just imagine what human beings were made to go through by their supposed countrymen! May God Almighty never forgive Gowon and all those involved in carrying out the 3years onslaughts on armless and harmless people of Igboland.....Amen! Some ignorant or mischievously lying folks would come and tell us the c*CK and bull story about the civil war being a reaction to some Nigerian soldiers killing Ahmadu Bello and all other senseless talks, they'll forget to tell you what preceded the killing of Ahmadu Bello and other Nigerian leaders at the time by Nigerian soldiers! They'll not mention the unprovoked massacres of Igbos and other southerners living in the north at the time. Blaming Igbos for the killing of Ahmadu is just like blaming Pankshin people of Plateau State for the killing of Murtala Muhammed by Buka Suka Dimka. Or better still, why did northerners of Hausa and Fulani origin forgive Buhari when he carried out the coupe that dethroned Shehu Shagari and even made him their political hero? Yet, they blamed the whole Igbo tribe for the action of a few Nigerian soldiers many of whom were not even of Igbo tribe! Why did the Hausa and Fulanis look the other way when Igbos were being massacred in the north but suddenly found their voices when the soldiers struck ![]() A nation built on injustice and lies against one of the major tribes would forever remain cursed and never know peace! This post has just spoilt my Sunday! |
Whenever a woman commits infidelity or any other offence for that matter, the western society does everything to stop her facing the consequences of her action even if they have to make up false claims just to cover it up. Making me wonder if women are some kind of angels incapable of evil. We know albinism when we see one! This one is a clear case of marital infidelity with a white man. Many African ladies secretly nurse the ideal of ridding some white carrots just the same way many black guys would fantasize about white cats. So, once they get an opportunity to go abroad, one agenda on their to-do list is tasting the white stuffs. |
pocohantas:Amen to your prayer Poco ![]() |
Only women like this have the right to demand gender equality or to say that marriage is a partnership where the couple have equal rights. Not like our own pseudo feminists in Nigeria who want men to keep doing their traditional roles of providing and also still do the traditional duties wives are expected to fulfill in the marriage. Nigerian ladies need to make up their minds on what they really want! |
Before getting my current hospital job, I never really understood why some health workers eg doctors, nurses etc who have direct contact with patients sometimes snap at the patients or patients' relatives in the course of discharging their duties. Imagine racking your head and doing all within your power( and going extra mile in some cases) to help the patients get better only for the patient and/or patient's relative to be shouting at you and transferring aggressions on you mostly in their ignorance and lack of understanding of the system. For crying out loud, your healthcare workers are not the cause of your frustrations as Nigerians! Learn to direct your anger appropriately to the government or those at the helm of affairs who created the system the health workers are simply complying with. The worst is that most of these health workers are not even well paid for the jobs they're meant to do. They're only straining their purses and managing to come to work and attend to your healthcare needs. So, appreciate them! If you feel the government systems are not working for you (eg NHIS), stage a protest to the appropriate quarters and not transfer aggressions on the poor healthcare workers. We didn't create these systems, government did. Some of these systems were properly thought-out but have been jeopardised by corruption which the great majority of you support in one way or the other! Corruption has ripple effects! One small corrupt act from your end contribute to the larger corruption the country is battling with. For instance, because your tribe's man is the president, you think all the positions and jobs should be taken by people of your tribe irrespective of their qualifications and flair for the jobs, yet tomorrow the same you would be crying and complaining that the system is not working. Many federal workers paid bribes to get their jobs or got it unjustly through one political connections or another, yet same federal workers would come and be complaining to me that NHIS is not working for him. Oga, he who comes to equity must come with clean hands! The day we're ready to fight corruption and correct all the anomalies in the system, we'll first start from ourselves! So, when next you visit the hospitals, stop insulting the health workers and talking trash to them. If you're not satisfied with the system, channel your anger appropriately and also ensure "you're coming with clean hands". That's the only way even God can listen to you and correct the corruption in the system. Now I understand why people say nurses and doctors are rude! |
bigpicture001:Just one outlier case is not a representation of the reality. Nigerian doctors are only hyped by locals. Many can't even compete on the international stage. |
Why won't MTN celebrate Since our thoughtless leaders allowed them to continue milking Nigerians with outrageous charges of course they'll be achieving milestones at the detriment of Nigerians. NCC is just there watching while MTN robs Nigerians in broad daylight! |
That's how the senseless girls of this generation lose their husbands while getting deceived by small boys without directions in life. Nature favours that younger girls get married to men who are far older than them but this 'woke' generation would want you to believe otherwise. Our fathers and forefathers were far older than their wives, some with as much as 20-25years age difference. That way, they were able to build lasting marriages anchored on love and respects. Op, watch that her so called boyfriend, he'll soon dump her and move on to the next gullible girl until the time he achieves financial stability and start searching for a younger girl to marry. This is how many girls without wisdom waste their time chasing 'wokeness' until the time when age is no longer on their parts. That's when they'll start going from one church to another and before you know it, they have turned bitter old women. Wise girls with the right orientation marry far older but stable men who can take good care of them and their children while the ones lacking in wisdom waste their times in frivolities until it's too late. |
Pengician:If it is that easy to be self employed, I'm sure nobody would want to work for wicked and evil-minded Nigerian private employers! @ topic , I keep saying this; if government wants to really tackle the problem of unemployment in Nigeria, then they should start by making laws and policies that protect the interests of private sector employees. Private sector should be the main employers of labour in every country but where the laws are so weak and permit exploitation of private -sector employees, unemployment becomes very difficult to deal with. If private sector employees in Nigeria are well paid and their dignities protected, they would be satisfied with their current jobs and hardly seek other jobs, thus reducing the pool of unemployed Nigerians. Underemployment is the main reason for the unemployment crisis in the country! |
galantjoe:Their agenda is to finally absolve women of all responsibilities and shift all feminine roles to men. Total emasculation of the male gender is the goal of the 21st century feminists and their feminised male supporters aka simps. Serious research works are currently ongoing in laboratories in developed countries on how to transfer the role of bearing pregnancy to men and how to impregnate men to women. Brace up for some crazy 21st century gender roles reversals! |
Normally our politicians are what we call "anywhere-belle-face" politicians! No ideology, just political jobbers! Meanwhile, Peter Mbah appears to be getting confused day after day with all the projects he embarked on at the same time! Take for instance, the so called construction of type 2 primary health centres in the 260 political wards in the state has become a mirage. I wonder how he thought he'll be able to do that. The best thing would have been to construct 0ne type 3 facility in each of the 17 LGAs to complement the general hospitals and state tertiary hospitals while the former health centres in most villages would be renovated and made to serve as types 1 and 2 while the local governments should be in charge of those. Mbah made the world believe that he was employing health workers to man the primary healthcare centres in the state but as I type this, no single health worker has been employed! People suffered, travelled far and wide to take the supposed job aptitude test, but almost 0ne year after, nothing to show. The commissioner of health compiled a so called list of his community's men and women and made us believe they were the "successful" candidates in the charade he called test, yet up till now, no show! It is becoming clear that Mbah is now confused on what to do about the health sector and that is why even the so called recruitment exercise has been stalled. I wonder the calibre of people that advise the governor! They're certainly not as smart as we thought. Else, they would have since advised him to take his projects one at a time considering the state's lean resources! You can't be making decisions and hinging your projects on some presumptive growth of the state's capital base from 4.4billion dollars to 30billion dollars. I mean, let's be realistic. How many industries has he created since assumption of office? Or does he expect to achieve such financial goals by mere taxing? In summary, while I'm a fan of the governor and also hails from same LGA as him, I think his government needs some reality checks and focus on projects that can be realistically achieved and not try to have too many projects ongoing without delivering any. |
Very true! The real killer of focus and destinies is the quest for quick wealth. It is tough to remain focused and go through the basics of wealth building when your mates are cruising Glk and buying stuff with fast cash, especially if one lives in a society where money-worshipping is the order of the day. |
EvilMerodack:How do you help a society that has refused to help herself? A society where the political class has taken control of every sector and plays politics with everything? A society where employment in critical sectors like health and education are based on political connections Una never ready for this country! |
Keep deceiving yourselves! Even me that initially wanted to stay back in the country has strongly made up my mind to Japa. Nigeria is not showing any signs of recovery rather all signs point to a country that is headed for implosion |
There had always been private jobs, the problem is; how much do they pay workers in relation to workers doing same job in the civil service? If government really wants to tackle unemployment, they need to make policies that can compel the private sector employers to pay their workers well and remove the huge disparities in salaries between workers of the private and public sectors. Many private sector employees in the country consider themselves as unemployed and contribute to the pool of unemployed people in the country. This makes it difficult for government to determine the actual unemployed people in the country. |
ObiORBiafra:You see the problem with Nigeria Always diverting attention from the problem and focusing on frivolities and bigotry! I know some of you do that because you feel that your tribesman is the president and therefore you must lie to the whole world to make them believe he's doing well. But have it in mind that that attitude would only end up destroying the country the more.I never even saw the news about Gombe planning on building a power plant before I made my post but here you are implying that I made my post to counter the planned Gombe plant. That's exactly how the minds of bigots like yourself work. Always viewing everything from the tribal lens. You couldn't even address the issues I raised in my post about the huge sums of money that has gone down in the so called power sector reforms by successive governments without any tangible results! Power supply remains abysmally low across the country despite the so called reforms and privatisation, yet you don't see a problem with that! |
Government needs to regulate charges especially by MTN. That company is killing us with charges these days. Their data and call charges are out of this world |
For the past few days, there has been total black out in my area and this is not a case of transformer having a problem, instead it appears the whole state is experiencing the same problem. Considering how much money successive governments purportedly spent in the power sector, should we still be having this problem of epileptic power supplies and total blackouts It's unfortunate that we not only still have the problems but they have gotten worse than before. What happened to all the funds we were told got injected into the sector since 1999? Howfar with the charade called power sector privatisation?. Who and who should we hold accountable and put behind bars for failing to fix the sector nor account for the funds meant for that purpose From the way things are going, one may be tempted to believe that the country is indeed under a curse which explains why nothing is working in the country and the citizens remain docile instead of standing up to demand accountability from their so called leaders! It's too bad |
What's the essence of having a young governor who cannot deliver dividends of democracy to his people but indulges in corruptly enriching himself and cronies while also shield the former thief? Kogi State has always been unlucky with the kind of governors they produce. |
labake1:Navy, seafarer, oceanographer, or just beach lover, which are you? |
This girl resembles MUNA OBIEKWE E be like say the guy fire some targeted shots before im kpai |
omoredia:Many of them did not vote for Tinubu. In fact, many ran away due to frustration of not being able to change the bad leadership of APC government. |
To curb this problem of child trafficking in the east, government needs to make child adoption process seamless. Remove all bottlenecks associated with child adoption so that childless couples can easily adopt! |
Gerrard59:Some of the private and missionary establishments actually need to be checked. Things like minimum wage and hazard allowances should also be enforced across sectors such that someone working in the private sector can enjoy similar pay as his counterpart doing the same job in the public sector. The disparity in pay between workers of both sectors in Nigeria is too wide and that contribute to the unemployment problem we have in Nigeria. Many people sector workers in Nigeria see themselves as unemployed |
The reason this menace is common in Igboland is because people don't marry early due to the quest for money. Everybody believes that they must be wealthy before marriage and so, by the time they feel they're ready to marry, most of the ladies must have gone into menopause or fibroids have overgrown their wombs thereby making childbearing difficult. Some of the ladies might have also tampered with their wombs from series of abortion. I can count at least five childless couples just within my vicinity here. Childlessness is a common problem in societies like ours in Igboland where money worshipping is the order. Because people naturally love having children, such couples resort to buying children from just anyone who can provide them those children without them going through the stress of legal child adoption. |
Nigerian military and their nepotism that end up depriving those with real passion for the military while favouring mediocre with connection. No wonder they can't even fight ordinary Boko haram. I pray we don't fight any serious war with a more coordinated African nation. It'll be a disaster mehn! |
KingCold:Just some few weeks back, we saw how South Africans were online making inciting comments so as to fuel the tension between Ghanaians and Nigerians over the Eze Ndigbo saga. Reading through such unprovoked biased attacks on Nigerians is scary and shows that xenophobia is indeed waxing stronger in SA. |
KingCold:I'm not misinformed sir. We have read and watched news about xenophobic attacks in SA. Your people need to change and stop attacking Africans of other nationalities living in South Africa. Law enforcement bodies should rise to the challenge of dealing decisively with criminal elements according to the law regardless of their nationalities. |
