I don't approve of your calling men of God names and insulting them. It's a sin. You should watch your tongue because the call of God is on him.  if he had made any mistake ,it's between him and God. And if he had done anything contrary to law, the law should handle it. But I won't set myself a trap of insulting the men God uses.

Demon spirits are Believed to be spirit beings who have once lost their bodies in and now desperately looking for human bodies to dwell. Demon spirit Cana invade human bodies, that's their major target. By this they obtain greater control of that person than when they work from outside. When demons live in a person, such a person is said to have evil spirit , or possessed of the devil . A christian can have. A demon but he can't be possessed of a demon. Because possession means ownership.

A christian is purchased by the blood of Jesus .so he may be oppressed ,obsessed,afflicted by demons. But he can't be posessed. He is owned by Christ . But a man who is not born again can be possesed by demons.

1 Corinthians 6:20
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

I live a life of giving round the clock. But we have special outreaches for less privilege every December. The post is to inspire others.

Another end of the year has come. Many of us fast and pray in preparation for the new year. Some have fasted wrongly and it becomes a hindrance to prayer. The absence of food in the tummy is not the fasting but the seeking of the face of God in humility.

This time also is a time to remember the poor and the less privilege around us.  It a good time to empty ourselves and reach out to the less privilege.

Isaiah 58:5-9
5 Is this the kind of fasting I have chosen? Should people humble themselves for only a day? . . . 6 This is the kind of fasting I have chosen: Loosen the chains of wickedness, untie the straps of the yoke, let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke. 7 Share your food with the hungry, take the poor and homeless into your house, and cover them with clothes when you see them Unclad. Don't refuse to help your relatives. 8 Then your light will break through like the dawn, and you will heal quickly. Your righteousness will go ahead of you, and the glory of the LORD will guard you from behind. 9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say, "Here I am!" Get rid of that yoke. Don't point your finger and say wicked things.

We have special outreaches in our ministry in a time like this . We reach out to the poor and less privilege to give them food ,money, and material things. Some other churches do similar things. If you don't belong to any church with such programmes , you can still do a personal reach out to the poor around you. Give sacrificialy. Give what cost you . As we empty ourselves , we open doors also to be replenished.

Proverbs 19:17
17 Whoever has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his good deed.

Physical death is simply the exit of the real man from the outer case called Body.

James 2:26

You can see that when the physical body dies and returns to dust, the realm man who is the spirit lives on . He never dies. He will face judgement . Remember the story of rich man and Lazarus . After death they lived on. Because they are not chemical compound as you stated.

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom:

Who was carried ? The body or the spirit . So who is the real man?

The body is only an outer case for the physical expression of the real person on the inside.

We won't acquire spirit in heaven , we worship God with our spirits here. Because you can only contact God with your spirit which is in his likeness as well as you contact the physical world with your body.

Sometime ago, I just had a strong burden for prayer.It was like a fear. This happens when the spirit of intercession comes on me most times. But that day the burden was so strong. I began to pray in tongues. I didn't know the intercession was for myself. While I was driving on the road , I was still praying for several hours intermittent anyway.

By 12 pm I saw an accident happened before me. A car hit a bike man carrying a school girl. The moment it happened ,I stopped and every car behind me stopped , the force of the impact threw the bike man in the air and when they landed ,they glided towards me and ended under my jeep. I came out quickly to help bring the bike out from under my car and to carry the school child to hospital. I've already thrown her bag into my car not know that Satan had a set up for me.

Suddenly a Moab surrounded me, shouting that I was the one who hit them . I was so surprised " I'm only a good Samaritan " I protested. Some wanted to hit my face . Shouting I must carry them( which I was about doing) before I knew police men came to arrest me. I then locked my doors that I would not carry them again. I'm not responsible , I'm not the one who hit them. It seems Nobody saw the real accident ,At that time I knew , I was in trouble. I couldn't even see the car which hit them . Everything happened so fast.

Just then someone who knows came around and ask what happened. I narrated , but nobody remembered any car hitting them. Just then I saw a car parked very far away , and I asked the person to check that car ,it could be the one who hit them. As he got there he saw part of the flesh of the girls leg on the bumper. The driver just sat. At the wheel. That's how I got free. That driver would have driven off , but I believe the prayers I made changed the situation. And kept that driver there. Probably I would have gone to jail for and offence I know nothing about ,because I don't know if the girl survived.

I would have loved to start with the bible. If you don't believe the bible ,why quoting from it?

I do believe it is unchristian to believe that God can be convinced to change what He has made clear will happen regarding the end times. It's like saying Ezekiel prayed that the Messiah would never come and God answered. That's impossible. Just as end time events not happening is impossible. So, let's continue to pray. But let nobody argue that anybody's prayer can change God's immutable eternal plan regarding the end of of the age.

This does not apply to my post. Mattew 24 prophecy is primarily for tribulation time. And that is after the rapture. Of course iniquity is already working but the church is the salt of the earth ,preserving the earth,and hindering the work of evil. When the church is ruptured , evil will be unleashed.


Even if wars are predicted for our time , does it mean every war must be sanctioned by the church?  Do you know how many wars and bloodshed have been averted by intercession? The violence in Nigeria for example ,are you going to keep quiet and say that after all the bible has foretold "Iniquity shall abound , love of many shall wax cold, lawlessness shall increase" etc? No you do your part to pray.We are salt of the earth.

Our own is to pray for our world and our jurisdiction. We leave the rest for God. Was paul praying against the will of God here?

Didnt God predict that Nineveh will perish in few days?  By prayer we can avert ,minimise,delay or hasten certain prediction.  Prediction has human part to play. Despite Jeremiah prediction of 70 years captivity. They stayed beyond 70 yrs until daniel began to interced.  Despite the prophecy about the messiah. Do you know certain individuals had to pray for his advent? Prophecy has flexibility .

Certain evil were predicted against david. But when he prayed , God delayed them. Certain things were predicted against hezeikah but when he prayed God postponed them. It is while praying we can know in our heart that creating evil should be left because they must happen. I'm not saying we should pray against bible prophecies , we should pray about our world    Because it's our duty. It's left for God to say certain things must happen.

I agree with your general position on this issue. It's our role as christians to continue to pray, knowing as I have read you here in other threads, that the prayer God answers is the one that aligns with His will. BTW, that's why I don't see much of a difference between the 2 sides of this debate. However, I think you weaken your position when you misrepresent or misunderstand the position of your 'oppponents' which is that you cannot change God's Mind regarding the end times. Using examples such as Hezekiah's or Ezekiel's that do not relate to God's unchangeable position, unlike the end times, is not right.

I,appreciate your post. And if you really have observed ,I dont have any trouble with counter opinion. I infact enjoy it. Such opportunity gives room for learning on either sides.

My concern has been the carnal attitude of so called Christians . Who spread hate abuses and insult. It is the wrong attutude that puts me off. How can someone by the name of Christ speak guile. A debate should have been fun , but it turns into a war. It's even more serious than Iran war ! .

We should at least be civic. And above all things we are suposed to have fruits of the spirit. If an umbelievers insults , i may not be so concerned .but someone who is called by the name of Christ? It shouldnt be,

That's why it is dangerous for an intercessor to assume that others are praying. You maybe surprise that most christian dint intercede. If God has opened your eyes to intercession, you may just be among the few he is counting on. If you sleep thinking everybody is praying , you may ind yourself to blame .God is always looking for an intercessor.

Ezekiel 22:30-31
30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. 31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.

That's the error of these Mattew 24 miss-users. They are like Jonah expecting  God to destroy the city just because Gid hd predicted it.  But the people prayed and fasted. And the destruction Jonah predicted didn't happen.

They will be like angels in heaven in terms of sexuality. Our body is a limitation to our real personality. We need human body to relate in this material world and for reproduction .

What do you think man is? A body ? .
Man is a spirit being . God is spirit , man is in his likeness. The body is only a covering. That's why if a man dies and his body get eaten up by a lion , he still will face judgement . The spirit which is the real man never dies. Only the body which is the outer case dies.

It does not escape me that he ends his prayer with a submission to the will of God. I doubt that anybody, Pastor Jo inclusive, would not be attentive to that.

The Matthew 24 prophecy is being miss applied here by my opponents . But let's take it that they even applied it rightly. We need to know the place of intercession. We can pray away certain prophecies , we can delay the fulfilment of certain prophecies we can also hasten fulfilment of certain prophecies. God always count on intercessors to bring about his will. We have several examples in the bible whereby what God planned to do was averted by prayer, delayed ,postponed or hastend.

It is ignorance when we say we resign to fate in certain matters because it's prophesied .

I explained that to you before . God is omnipotent. He also has principles. Which he follows. For example,as much as God can make a man to be anything. He also gives man free choice. That doesn't limit his power ,he only chose to follow principles.

There's no defrauding. The bible didn't lie about prayer at all. I told you before . God answers prayers. There are also principles in God.

He demand sacrifice from the worshipers so as to rid them of greed , it's for their perfection. He doesn't need their substance . He needs to detach them from being slave to things.
