The term deliverance is my concern here. A natural man who is not born again is under the dominion of darkness. But salvation is our deliverance from the devil. When a man is saved he is delivered. The Greek word "soteria" means salvation and also deliverance . We were delivered from dark kingdom when we got saved

Colossians 1:13
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

If a christian man have demons in him, several things can be responsible . It could be that the demons which left him came back through his carelessness. But that's not even the point. We are not contesting the fact that a christian can have a demon in him, it's possible. Several things can open him up. Such as sin. Ignorance of the word of God, unforgivieness, bitterness and and many other things.

My concern is the terminology used by ministers for the process of expelling a demon "deliverance" a christian is a Boss to Satan. If you don't know who you are ,Satan will take advantage. A christian has authority over Satan , not to talk about his demons. So "I need deliverance from this demon" sounds degrading to me for a son of God.

I was trying to get to the real source . I dont like to conclude from one sided account .The link here is still from baddie camp.  I would have loved to know if it's a church service or a conference etc. you know people can register with. Money for a conference . And the registration covers things such as conference materials, certificate(when applicable ) feeding or refreshment (when applicable ) etc.

But if it's for church service, it's not proper to pay money.

I seem to recall that last year Christ Embassy did something similar for their New Year Service. It was N1000 per head. What can justify such please.

Well, I don't approve of the action,But I try making judgment on motive . It was not done for the purpose of raising money. The planning committee made a mistake there.  But we should know it was not impose on people. The hall could only take few people . It was used as a studio for LIVE broadcast. Crowd had to be controlled  ,nothing must go wrong in a LIVE broadcast which would be viewed worldwide.  People were discouraged from coming . The 1000 ticket was introduced as a measure to discouraged people. Several options were made available . Hundreds of centers were created in lagos. Tv stations were paid to broadcast it LIVE . So that people dont have to leave their homes .  Many still wanted to get into the main hall. And those who got the ticket were excited to get it. Provisions were made for other big halls which served as over flow. Near the LCA. So if you have seat reservation ticket , you go to the main hall if you don't have reservation go to the other halls.
I believe the committee did excellent plan with the seat reservation idea. The purpose was archived . No casualty or overcrowd. But they could have done all these without adding 1000 to it. They could have just done first come first served. But their fear was that many people will collect 20 tickets or more with the hope of using it to make reservation for friends and relatives. while some many not get. And at the end of the day. those who collect may end up not using them for one reason or the other because its free. They felt introducing money will make those who get it to keep it. Well a solution to that is to ensure only one ticket goes to an individual. Nobody collects for another . If that is hard , maybe Some want to get for another they can go online or so. But I'm very certain the idea was not money making. I believe there will still be seat reservation this year and it will be free.

I don't know if OLAADEGBU is making reference to my posts here .I want you to get me clearly. Im not against judging doctrines  by the word of God or condenning false doctrines and wrong doing.  But condemning a wrong act or utterance or teaching  is different from condemning a person or not to talk of a minister of God. No man is perfect . No church doctrine is perfect to a great extent When you say so and so is a FALSE prophet or pastor etc . Because he teaches something  contrary to your  church . He may be right and he may be wrong. It is a big thing and it is not right. Let us assume they made a wrong statement , will you condemn the entire work of a mans ministry just because of one thing . We can condemn an action or doctrine  but not a man.

I'm really disappointed at your response, even though you meant well for the guy ,but you can't make such dangerous accusation against me. I asked for his number to discuss solution to his life threatening problem ,and not about synagogue church. I have several people I have helped out In this forum and it never cost them anything . If there should be any financial commitment , I would rather shoulder it. You don't know my discussion why making false accusation.

There are. I contradictions , the scriptures harmonised themselves. The only problem is that you can't understand spiritual things without he help of the holy spirit .

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

This verse makes reference to a dateless past. Millions of years or more. It was a perfect world of civilisation. With its solar system. Lucifer who is now Satan was the ruler of that world. He was also an arch angel in heaven . When lucifer rebelled against God , he lost his place and the rebellious world he led and corrupted was destroyed by flood. The flood destroyed not only the earth but also the solar system.

Isaiah 14:12
12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15Yet thou shalt be brought down

That was what made the earth void in verse 2 of Genesis 1. The foot note of The NIV translation makes us to know that the earth became void. The earth was not created empty and void it became empty and void. So there's a wide gap of millions of years between verse 1 and 2 . It's refered to by many scholars as the gap theory. The book of Jeremiah throws more light on what transpired. You can compared Jeremiah with genesis vs 2

2 And the earth was without form, and [b]void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Jeremiah 4:23
23I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

This explains why there was no light,birds and ,man. It is believed that the men who existed those days are the brings who became demons now by scholars.  That's why theydesperately love to dwell in human bodies so as to express themselves since they've lost their own bodies.

One of the facts we should not forget are the fossil evidence of the pre historic animals such as dinosaurs etc. their remains dates millions of years old by radio carbon dating. The reason the church was denying these at first was the fact that from Adam creation to our time is just about 6,000 years . They felt it would negate the creation story . True science confirms the bible. Those animals did not exist in the bible days. If they existed millions of years ago ,there must have been a world of human .And most of there researches proves that that world must have been destroyed by a flood.

This was not the flood of Noah, because the flood of Noah only affected the earth and not the heavens (starry galaxy )Peter made reference to this.

2 Peter 3:6-7
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

So what we have from Gen 1:3 is a re creation. Water of the flood covered the deep and God began to separate water from the dry ground . It is the re creation which took six days.

Exodus 20:11
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.


It is portrayed as our origin because it is the beginning of our human race in the image of God.

I will say "NO" because the christian is superior to Satan not to talk of his demons. You can only deliver someone from the hand of a greater one. A christian is greater than the demons. We can cast out devils from a christian , but I won't call it deliverance , I will call it "casting out devils"

Some Christians may experience hindrances because of sin or unbelief. God has given but they have not Ben able to RECIEVE . There are deeds which hinders us from receiving .such as hatred ,malice and inability to walk in love.

OK. To answer your question directly, black singing or music is interwoven with the slavery experience. Music is one of the few things slaves were free to do (I think Bible reading was another one) and it kept them sane. The linked video is inspiring:

yongii cho in south korea has largest single congregation in the world, the attendance is well over a million worshipers. but they have no building for that crowd.
The largest built church has been winners chapel in otta which seats 50,000 people. So if its true that TAC can seat 100,000 people then it should be the current largest church biulding in the world.

Can you share some of your challenges in the fadting and how you conquered them. Remember this thread is to help some other people who may be facing discouragement and challenges in embarking on a fast.

This time machine idea sound nice, but the reason its not possible,is the fact that there's no craft to take one to such distant of broadcast from the earth. Even if one is invented, it will not get there in this generation or generation to come. It will take thousands of years to get to the destination before mounting satellite for broadcast. That means children will be born on the journey, grow up ,to becom old men ,and die,their children children  to thousand generation will be the one to get there. Besides a real time photo is not the same as light. Light may travel,sound may travel but real time event don't travel.if you go to any height and zoom on the earth,the pictures you will see will be real time event. Not history,not even yesterday. But it would have been nice if it were possible, we would know who killed Kennedy.but it's not possible.

Both ways ,Money for tv goes for tv, money for radio goes for radio. And Ofcourse money or gift for a man of God goes to him. It's left for such a man to determin what he is led to do with it. A man of God is supposed to be a giver . What he recieved personally gives him opportunity to make a giving too.
