Cameroon are as unconvincing as Nigeria so far in this tournament, granted. For me, it's a toss up. KevinDein: I was on a neutral forum and everyone over there was certain Cameroon will be playing Egypt in the quarters. I mean this Cameroon isn't even decent yet everyone seems certain they'll beat us; not that I believe them but it just shows how much of a meme team we are under Rohr.
Depressing. |

Na one way coach.. bereft of ideas. Give him 5 more years and it would still be the same. TheSuperNerd: Lad that would have bagged more than 90mins playing for even Tunisia or Guinea. I mentioned this in my write-ups and I insist that we cannot be so bloody unfortunate to have a coach who comfortably benches some of the best young talents in African and world football right now just because he lacks invention and bravery. Such will only destroy the beautiful dawn we are about to witness. |

very well said. Exactly my observation from the group games. comodo: Yes they hug the ball so much. Quick exchange of pass can easily disorganize a team. That's my worry and their off d ball movement is very very poor. That's why you see them waiting for passes to meet them against moving to meet the pass. Hope to see an improvement in these areas |

dash Osimhen to another african team, and watch their coach utilize him well. andrew444: Sorry a player that score 20 goals in a top flight league can play at any tournament
Osimhen is naija best striker in Europe this season, correct me if I am wrong
But we are not rohr nah that is playing ighalo so it's not our fault ,the same rohr prefers onauchu ahead of osimhen ,that should tell you alot
Same rohr will not allow chuks enjoy minute ,same rohr will not play onyekuru ,so leave matter
Any player wey the coach choose I go support |

No be by name.. play as a team.. Many of us are still saying Osimhen cannot play in this AFCON. no be he mates dey play ball. Rohr is clueless how to put these lads together and make them function efficiently as a team. ChrisKels: The Malian team is made up of youngsters from their 2015&2017 U17 sets, yet they are this good. |

We can lose to either team.. but I can't bear a loss to Ghana. The way SE has played so far in this tourney, I won't put my confidence on them. no sentiments Skillset11: I prefer Ghana. We are going to find it very difficult to score against this Cameroon team. They are also very good at set pieces unlike Ghana that has nothing to offer in the air. They will fight very hard to take us to penalties and with Onana in goal, we stood no chance. Cameroon is it for me. Penalty/ one nil from corner kick! |

oga, na u dey think that one. the players are busy on field. After two draws, why wouldn't they want to destroy their last opponent. My kind of football is score as much as you can, only play cautious if your opponent is equally strong. Who were Ghana playing again? Gone are the days when many teams were scared of Nigeria. iSlayer: You flew in without getting the point.. As of the time that guy posted that comment Ghana were already 2 goals up and in the last minutes so they were essentially through but yet they were still playing hard to increase their goal difference to be extra sure they don't finish 2nd and meet Nigeria.
You didn't get the context but still you quickly stated that I'm deceiving myself. |

Can Sol be diplomatic and at the same time not scared to say his mind? I agree with some of your points though, but do those coaches tick those boxes below (especially the 3rd and 4th)? komekn: I think our approach should be to ask ourselves first, what are the 3/4 or 5 essential character traits required to succeed as a manager of the SE considering our peculiar circumstances as well as organisational culture and values.
For me it would be as follows : UNCOMPROMISING INTEGRITY IN-DEPTH EXPERIENTIAL FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE INTELLIGENT ASSERTIVENESS DIPLOMACY PASSIONATE EMPATHY FOR THE SE.
With this in mind there are somethings that you ca understand but only if your black can you experience, the manager has to be black.
From a perspective of personal interaction, my first choice would be Chris Houghton and my second choice may seem a bit of a maverick but he will throw his entire being into the job and is not scared to say his mind, SOL CAMPBELL.
You may indeed have your own approach that is different from mine it will be interesting to see it and your rational too which allows for better appreciation. |

I agree.. we are not just talking about winning games now, else we should still be praising Rohr. ChrisKels: Their quick inter-change of passes is orgasmic buh most times they do it without purpose. They are even almost outta the AFCON, even with their messiah, the poor man's Uzoenyi. |

Let's remove sentiments. I enjoy watching SA compared to Nigeria. I have joined icon4s camp. I am not even asking for the AFCON title, can we just enjoy good football? ChrisKels: Which kind yeye post be this, Stuart Baxter a class above Rohr? Seedorf, Cisse? Lol u dey joke |

Please tell us about Seedorf's record as a manager, or at least can you tell us how his team played? solonnachi: Bros forget that thing. When did Frank Lampard finish playing football that Chelsea fans are screaming his name. At least Seedorf is used to modern day football than Rohr who played for Bordeaux in the 70s or 80s. |

Deceiving yourself. Ghana had 2 points before the final game. There was a chance there were going to be the 3rd placed team and a possibility of not making it to the next round. Both games were played the same time, did you expect they would be complacent? iSlayer: This is funny. While some are ridiculing the team some other teams are sweating from their asses to avoid them. LOL! |

I'm thinking beyond AFCON.. when Sabastien reach WC fumble una go start to cry for new coach. The Mexico team Osorio tutored played good football. Added to that, they went to the WC and did pretty well. modified What did Herve do in Russia? ChrisKels: Forget profile, go for the best(updated) out there. Go for the Ugandan coach. He plays beautiful attacking Football with a strong defense, the only thing letting him down is the dearth of talents in the Ugandan team. Sebastien Desabre
Herve Reinard had a profile as low as his before conquering Africa twice, with Zambia in 2012 and the CIV in 2015. |

I've been doing my research. Are there proven former national team coaches out there who are without a job?I'm speaking of coaches who can play the kind of football we want. One name comes to mind, Juan Carlos Osorio. Let's build a list.. any more suggestions on our next handler? modified my bad, it seems the oga is taken. He just got a new job.. maybe we can snatch him from that club solonnachi: Abeg even if we won get foreign coach, make we go for better one. Cameroon, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt went for class and not amateurs. Senegal went for the best in the country. Haba Naija. When we go learn na. |

Did we look serious against Guinea? Let me excuse the Burundi game because most of the big teams started slowly. Now look at Egypt and the like, they were blazing after their first round of games. Danielnino00: Truth be told, aside that Balogun blunder, our defence has been good throughout the tournament... The defeat may just turn out to be a blessing in disguise... The players will be motivated and more serious now... |

Most likely Cameroon or Ghana Modified I expect both Cameroon and Ghana to win their last group game. Danielnino00: Contrary to what some folks here are saying, we won't be facing Egypt in the round of 16 .. Its the runner up in group F we will face... any of the 4 teams in that group can still finish 2nd .. |
