Thank you! SA will not be easy either.. But this is football anything is possible. I'm putting my hope on the players. sontoly: To be honest this Cameroon too was very weak in group stage and still the weakest Cameroon team I ve ever seen, yet we still struggled to beat them. This means that we are not much better than them.
Our next opponent, if it will be Egypt is going to be tough. |

I have been criticizing the technical crew most of the times. I've hardly singled out a player for criticisms. That says a lot that I want this team to win. But a lot falls to the technical crew if we must win this cup or play well at least. Let's see who is next. But i'm hoping that the players' chemistry will improve from here. That's the only thing i'm banking on Yes, Cameroon was poor. darkelf: To them, calling a spade a spade means you're not patriotic. They just lack common understanding
To me, we were very lucky today. I'm not taking away the fact that the guys fought but tactically, we were very poor. Rohr isn't bringing out the best from this guys. Whilst some of our players are average, a better coach would do better with this team because truthfully, Cameroon was equally poor.
We better step up in the next round or we may be bundles out. It gets tougher from here on out |

Ighalo is our top scorer coming to this AFCON. That clearly means he is the best striker we have.. We said the same thing when Iheanacho had the stats to his favor. However I want to see Osimhen come in for Ighalo. I won't play Onuachu if we do not have wingers that spring crosses. TheSuperNerd: Even if all he scored today were penalties or tap-ins... Who cares? Penghalo or not.... My own is this: HE GOT THE JOB DONE AND THAT IS WHY ROHR MUST PLAY OUR MOST LETHAL CREATIVE WEAPONS LIKE CHUKWUEZE who can open up defences with his movements, trickery and his mere presence to create chances upon chances.
Ighalo delivered today and I am glad. He was always going to start and just needed to be fed. I keep saying it... Give him as many chances so that even if he flunks some, we won't have to talk about it because he scored the rest.
Ighalo stepped up indeed and showed "his red eye" as he promised he will show. Unlike a certain Niang Chriskels once said is better than Iggy. Bia Chriskels..Your lobotomy schedule is drawing closer. |

gbam Danielnino00: @ the bolded... so do I... our win today was more due to the player's determination than the coach's tactics... |

what's a fair weather fan?.. i've never stood against the team.. i've only called a spade a spade.. if they dont play well, I say it. Rohr does not inspire my confidence finito The match could have gone either way. But that was my prediction based on what I saw so far in the group stage. Danielnino00: Unlike u, I'm not a fair weather fan.. I've stood by the team since the start of the tournament and would do so till the end... You were all over the thread predicting a narrow win for Cameroon.. Smh... |

NOOO.. ROHR should be given the job of overseeing our domestic league and making recommendations. EEGA: NFF should just get a tactician to work with Rohr.Rohr should stay. |

you people will be picking players based on the outcome of the match.. can't we be non sentimental for once. people were saying Iwobi was the worse player, watch as dem go change mouth now. Humility017: are you serious? ??

u don get mouth.. after WC, i know see u o.. TheSuperNerd: Note: I still want Rohr gone in the long run. It had to take a HT loss to make him see that Simon adds little to our attack. He is always more defensive and less creative. Chukwueze is a game changer and a threat any coach will put two or three players on. Anyway... More on my analyses later....
Back to the matter you raised my good man.....
I am coming... Just putting finishing touches to the list... Sir Joebie is their chairman.

He tried.....he would have made it 3 had it been he played that ball to the right side of the goal.... |

Akpeyi had one shaky moment. It's guaranteed he will have one of those moments within 90 mins. I hope this AFCON will finally erase all his fear fear. After 90 mins we will know if we will meet the team Rohr has been dreading. I would rather love to meet SA, cuz we need to shut their mojths up for once. Preasty: I strongly believe Nigeria would do well against Egypt that plays the ball on ground. Our defence lime became shaky because CAM settled for Aerial ball. Let's hope for the best. BUT TRUTH BE TOLD . WE DON'T HAVE KEEPERS OOOOOOOOO |

after one match you will flip.. I still stand by my word, Rohr should go. However this was one of our best games since Argentina friendly based on how THE PLAYERS responded to being behind. There was no tactical change whatsoever than Ighalo dropping deep a little. Cameroon was poor. Danielnino00: Nerdy my man.. where's the list of those that didn't believe we would beat Cameroon?? We need to send it to Buhari and d senate... Their citizenship should be auctioned... Let's offer them to Somali and Djibouti... |

Rohr said we would play 3-5-2.. I still dey wait oh.. forgiveness: 3-5-2 is the solution now.
Iwobi has done nothing. This is one the reason I criticize players selections. How can you just stick with Iwobi and Mikel for the Amf role without trying out other players who can play in the same role?
I think Balogun should have started the game. He brings calm to the back.
Omeruo caused the two goals. |
