I’m particularly impressed with his last goal. The other goals join sha Diavolo: Thank you oh. I agree ighalo has really played well over the last three games, but to say he wasn't ever poor for us or laying the blames for his previous abysmal showings solely on lack of service is over the top and a fat lie. In the previous matches, Ighalo has had several chances that he missed either due to poor finishing, poor positioning, poor techniques that he should have done better. |

Forgiveness and komekn , come for the feast. TheSuperNerd: $9.5m FIFA grant: Three NFF officials in court over alleged misappropriation
Three officials of Nigeria Football Federation were on Thursday arraigned in a Federal Capital Territory High Court at Maitama, accused of misappropriating $9.5 million and N1.3 million.
The defendants are Christopher Andekin, NFF Director of Administration and Finance, Reagan Zaka, Cashier and Fadanari Mamza, Head, Finance and Account Department.
They were dragged to the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on five counts bordering on criminal conspiracy, breach of trust and misappropriation.
The prosecutor, Mr Steve Odiase, told the court that the three defendants conspired between January 8 and January 26, 2015, to commit the offences, contrary to Section 97 of Penal Code.
Odiase alleged that Andekin was entrusted with money meant for the development of football in Nigeria, a grant from the Federation of International Football Association.
He said that Andekin, however, fraudulently diverted N1.3 million from the NFF domiciliary account with Zenith Bank, an act that is contrary to section 311 of the Penal Code.
He further alleged that Zaka on his part, fraudulently diverted $7.2 million grant from FIFA for development of football in Nigeria while Mamza diverted $2.3 million.
The defendants all pleaded not guilty to the charges, and their counsel, Mr Arinze Egbo applied for their bail. The Judge, Justice Peter Affen upheld the administrative bail granted to them earlier by the EFCC.
In addition, he ordered that the sureties should sign a bond with the registrar of the court, and the defendants should deposit their international passports. The case has been adjourned until November 27, for the commencement of trial.

I think we need a Chelsea version of Mikel to help us control the game at the midfield and hold on to the ball. Iwobi is great as an AM but there is still a missing link in our midfield without Mikel. Etebo is not the kind of midfielder to sit back. Somehow the latter brings his A game in the big games. Modified We still need that midfielder to complete the puzzle as we prepare for life without Mikel 2nd Modified A very good holding midfielder is what we are lacking. The one who does the simple necessary things — not Etebo Curtisaxel7: Rohr will do us a great disservice if he plays Mikel as a 10 again and wastes Iwobi on the wings. |

Alright, I will be monitoring his progress this season komekn: Bruv hmmm
In football six months is a long time, A year is history and two years is archived.
Before his injury he was on the way up would probably be in an EPL team by now. Good on the ball technical and unpredictable with good pace. Maybe he could have added more goals but a a very good player.
But two years out of the game from injury. That is a mountain to climb. |

New competition will always make the regulars watch their back. We must promote excellence in all the playing depts. the invitation of Success was a good one. If Success cannot give Ighalo a good competition, he should be dropped else he would start getting comfortable that his SE shirt at least is secure Danielnino00: You have said it all jare... Rohr knew what he was risking by sticking with Ighalo though I think Rohr was preparer to give Ighalo his last chance against Libya that prompted the recall of Isaac Success... Rohr has made a lot of gambles since he took over but I think Uzoho and Ighalo case paid off the most... |

Well yes, so how did u rate him before his long term injury? He’s clocked some minutes with Brentford lately. And even played as LB as well komekn: I can not give a very good assessment he has just come back from a serious long term injury of near 2 years. He is just getting back to find his form. Also I haven't watched him live in a long time.
He was highly rated before Injury.
I don't think you can compare the two of them that would be very unfair. I don't think Odubanjo has played a game in the championship for Brentford this season.
I think he needs a whole season in the Championship hopefully without any injury before you can see where he us at. And if he has been able to get back to his former standard. |

What do U expect when Ighalo visits this thread often? edi287: Like Tbaba said, lets just celebrate Ighalo's rich vein of form. All these talks are getting boring.
I loved this second goal...it put this ridiculous myth of him being a old fashioned target man to rest. The dribbling which some doubted he has showed. |

Sure a win like that is necessary. I don’t think we had a great game in Uyo either. But the result is all that matters. BascoVanVeli: You know what I was angry last night but the more I look at it the coach did the right thing. The boys should have been capable of getting themselves together as the problem was more mental. They can only gain this by experience and yesterday helped them alot.
Plus after blowouts my favorite way to win is by a goal. Na that one go pain those useless Libyans pass. They say ugly wins are what make champions |

I think if Nigeria meets a team at par with us in terms of talents, the better tactical manager will carry the day. Rohr might be able to do well among African teams, butI doubt him improving outside Africa. daveP: The pocket of spaces the Libyans got behind our midfield was too too much and I wonder why our coach was seeing this and was simple watching and even sting late. He should have subbed off Etebo and brought in Ogu, but he was doing that late after their comeback. Note well the areas they got their setpieces to score.
Aina was drawing back instead of challenging for the ball for that second goal.
Ndidi I expected to behave just made me sad. Or should I blame Rohr no thinking he could play all 90, get tired and with the DMF tole in him, not expect him to foul players? |

How do you solve a problem like “stiff-neck”? When to know it’s actually a solution not a problem? Danielnino00: Agreed he deserved the criticism, but certainly not death threats on his family... Nobody does .. Though I don't think anybody on thus thread would have stooped so low to send threats to his family..It must have come from those social media followers of his..
Ighalo is quite lucky though.. Another coach would have discarded him after the world cup but Rohr didn't... I imagine how much threat Yakubu received for his miss against south Korea .. His club form afterward wasn't even enough to convince Nigerians... |

Ighalo had a point to prove regardless of what he says. As long as Rohr had a point to prove, Ighalo also did. And they have both proved a point — I hope it lasts. Triniti: Ighalo deserves all the criticism he got, he should thank the coach for sticking with him. Now he’s back to scoring and I think every reasonable fan should commend him, all over the world, fans ridicule players when they don’t perform to expectations, you guys should stop attacking those that were not pro Ighalo during those moments of waste, drought and unproductive Hold-Up-Play |

Komekn I asked you, how do you compare Aina to Odubajo? komekn: I am sorry it's not difficult to speak to him.
But to what purpose, it's for The NFF to commit to a player not the player to beg to be selected.
Your club performance should speak up for you but that's not how NFF operates.

I just watched the replay of the match.
I want to say, as it stands, we top the group and we would likely win our last two games. I’m impressed with the outcomes of our games but I’m not impressed with our play. But well, it’s better to win and not play well, than the other way around. In an ideal world, I would like to see SE really stamp their authority in the way they string their passes and control the game. Well, I can’t complain. We are doing the needed. |

Oga Ighalo rightly said he gives 100% all the time but it doesn’t always work out sometimes. Truth is when we needed that goal most against Argentina he failed. While I wasn’t among those calling for his head in the aftermath of that, the truth before his recent goals rush, is he had a poor goals per game ratio in the GWG. 4 goals from open play in 2 games is quite impressive. He needs to keep it up. I’m not in support of death threats etc. These players are humans after all. Curtisaxel7: I literally wept while reading this. I personally saw no fault with Ighalo's performance at the WC. NONE AT ALL. The guy suffered from lack of supply from the selfish Victor Moses and a poor nonfunctional midfield. There is little a CF can do if he doesn't get accurate passes.
I was shocked to see many people even on this forum blaming Ighalo for the loss to Argentina. Even the world's finest strikers may have missed those chances.
Dear Ighalo, some of us NEVER doubted your abilities. Not then, not now. |

No be the same stiff neck make am stick with Ighalo. Let's look at the positives too lol sontoly: Ighalo is winning our hearts back, proving to critics he still got it, including me. But he should thank Rhor for sticking with him cos if its another coach I dont think the story will be the same. As for Rhor, I hate his substitutions, very stingy with sub, dude will wait till its 75min and above before making sub even if it is a dead rubber game. Am afraid he is not learning anything new, someone should tell him this he is too rigid with sub and changes.
If we don't watch it we may lose another 3 points, He may forget that Ndidi or someone else is ineligible to play next game, the man just be like robot |

For real? And this na neutral venue o. By the way, so South Africa couldn't even beat the same Seychelles they flogged 6-0? Naija to top the group should the scores remain the same at FT. Mickael2: Give Libya Aubemeyang or Adebayor and they would be 4-2 up, better team BY FAR |
