If Aigbogun had a good scouting network, he would do good to bring this Real Madrid Castila sensation "Akinlabi Olawale Marvin Park" to help strengthen his midfield, since the guy hasn't repped Spain at any level.

Sarri is gay. Moses never cooperated.

Oshe conspiracy theorist. So, Jamilu and Semi are now camouflage abi? Rohr did not reason other people to use as camouflage, it is two relatively unknown players.

Lol, where did Vic Mo run to? Chelsea's bench or his couch at home? I'm sure Sarri is also a corrupt coach for not playing Moses regularly grin grin

TheSuperNerd:
Ikeme Joins Eagles’ Crew After Seychelles Match

Retired international goalkeeper, Carl Onuoha Ikeme has been confirmed as a member of the Super Eagles’ coaching crew, but he will not start work with the team until after next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.

This much was confirmed at the weekend by Eagles technical adviser, Genot Rohr, who said Ikeme will soon resume work as one of the team’s goalkeepers’ trainers.

However, Rohr said Ikeme will not be with the Eagles for their September 7 match against Seychelles, because the 10-hour flight from his base in England to the venue in Victoria would be too much for the leukaemia survivor.

Rohr, though, stated categorically that the former Wolverhampton Wanderers of England shot-stopper will join the Eagles’ crew for subsequent matches, as the Franco-German tactician

Aside training the Eagles’ keepers, Rohr further said Ikeme, who recently announced his retirement from the round leather game, will also help to monitor and discover young Nigerian goal minders.

Rohr added that he wants the 32-year-old Wolves’ former number one goalie to help the Eagles find young goalies that will be of future help to Nigeria win global titles.

Ikeme spent his entire career at Wolverhampton, making 207 appearances across all competitions before hanging his gloves, after recovering from acute leukaemia, which made him to be in hospital for almost a year.

He was supposed to be the Eagles number one goalkeeper at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, but he could not make the trip due to the blood cancer sickness.

Now that Ikeme has overcome the health battle, Rohr is positioning him for a role in the national team, following an earlier declaration by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that the England-born star will not be discarded in retirement.

Rohr expatiated: “Our plan is to have him around for the game against Seychelles but that is not going to be possible because of the long hours of travelling down from England to Seychelles but we hope to have him with us in subsequent games.

“You know he is still recovering from his sickness and it will not be ideal for him to go through long hours of travelling now.

“I have already discussed with the NFF about having him with us as part of the backroom staff and it is something that they have really considered.

“It is important to have a good plan for him after football. We are monitoring some young goalkeepers who will be useful for the team in future.

“There is one who is only 15 years old that Carl Ikeme our former goalkeeper has recommended to us and is monitoring him as well.

“We trust his judgement because he knows the quality we want and hopefully, we will get to see these young goalkeepers take over from the present ones in future.”

@NFF letterheading hahaha

safarigirl:
which value does he have now? Which club has he even been loaned to? Dude has disappeared off the face of the earth. So much for decisions that will bring value

At second bolded, the other home-based players who were also at the U17 camp with them but did not make it, also wonder why they did not make it. It is the U17, players will get dropped and playing in England does not automatically make you better than someone who isn't there. Nobody gets an automatic spot just because they play in England

@ third bonded, they should sit down and keep waiting for official response and invitation. NFF has not attended to the likes of Dessers and Beyreuther that have declared on the pages of newspapers, it is your hit and miss English boys they should now be drafting letter for with a whole NFF letter-heading.

Guy, this your entitlement on behalf of English players is truly amusing grin grin

My bro I concede to you, but it’s actually a Nigerian problem. We just have our way of doing things.
komekn:
That names below completely answer your ❓

Jordan
Akpoguma
Uduokhai

Second phase Amaju sometimes doesn't understand that yoi don't count your chicks in public with a loud speaker before thay are hatched.

That mistake caused the English FA to put a lot if pressure on Tega. He was damned if he signed for Nigeria and damned if he did not. He simply chose a career decision that would bring him more value u see the circumstances.

He made assumption about Tega on the basis of Warri connection. Tega didn't confirm or agree. He wasn't in relationship with Tega to make those kind d of sweeping statements in the press that he did.

However, the German boys of Nigerian origin have made public statement showing a lack of interest.

We should not be waiting for the English FA to recognise our boys before we do. We should be in relationship with them well before they blow. That's what good scouting is about.

Oviemuno and Ademola were at the Nigerian U17 selection and trained showed thier potential. But somehow nothing came off it. I wonder why ❓

Now after what those boys experienced at the hands of NFF officials. And yes Egunje came into play. Do you think they will be jumping to respond to the call of Nigeria on the pages of newspapers.

They will need an official response and invitation. Without the requirement to show monetary appreciation.

The problem isn't the boys but the NFF and it's approach.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:03pm On Aug 27, 2018
A two party system, however both parties are the same.
komekn:
Deviation from the main subject.

Nigerian politics is about self interest and the quest for individual power, benefit and the benefits that will come to those in your camp.

We don't have ideological differences in the political parties.

There are events in recent times that have created in-depth and deep seated discontent with Buhari. These events rightly or wrongly have created division on tribal, religious grounds as well failings in the economy and the issues of security.

These events create prejudice and emotive negative sentiment.

Thay means the only reason Buhari wins is because there is no credible opponent.

Considering the self interest seeking PDP it's very probable that Atiku will get the ticket. Essentially from the frying pan to the fire. In this regard Buhari will still win.

However, a Christian, Middle belt or south Nigerian origin candidate with credibility, unquestionable integrity and vision. Will win the election hands down if presented by the PDP. But that seems highly unlikely.

Unfortunately Osinbanjo cannot contest because it's re- selection for Buhari or hell fire and brimstone in the APC.

But the blind ambition of individuals in the PDP will make them unable to be objective and pick a winning candidate. As well as thier allegiance to thier North.

This is all because essentially we are running a two party system.

The season is still young. You people will just be passing premature judgements.

Vicmo's Chelsea career is over as long as Sarri doesnt play 3-5-2. Dude doesnt measure up as a winger. Like I always say, if he had continued as a winger, he would have been in the championship by now. He owe Conte every thanks for showing the world where he really fits in.

I reiterate, Onyekuru is our best winger followed by Kalu and then SiMoses bfor Vicmo. But as a wing back, he is the apex even though I'm glad he us gone

Tomori join?

ChrisKels:
Anybody could have done that, that makes u a professional, u leave ur options open. Somebody like Nmecha is both England and Germany youth team player, the only thing that matters is the country that shows more interest (at the highest level), Ejaria already said his future lies with the Eagles, I cant remember him rescinding that decision. He was right to av gone to the U20 world cup wt England since he was overlooked by us, that was a good decision then for his career.

Here are the list of professional Anglo Nigerians ready to repp us now at any level if called up ;

Raba Maja, Ebere Eze, Onyedinma, Ejaria, Tomori, Ike Ugbo, Dele Bashiru, Bright osayi Samuel, bright enobakhare et al

fabyom:
Ejara has not made up his mind yet. On Eze I agree. However, I think Nwakali deserves his invitation. His performance was right in front of Rohr and he was quite exceptional. The same applied to simmy N.

You are very correct. Even The Telegraph said Emery too a risk in changing to playing 2!in attack by introducing Lacazette. Shows the switch was tactical.

Here is another Iwobi rating
safarigirl:
i have posted three other sites that supported that Iwobi was decent, but goldfish no go gree. If it does not support his opinion, it is wrong.

Thank God we all have access to internet, let nobody come and feed us one sided opinions and sell them as facts.

90 min football also does not rate Iwobi the worst player.

It is obvious that the sham site he posted here, employed someone on a codeine diet to rate players.

Then you should have recognized when I said granted the good ones among the homebased players can make the team. So what where we arguing about? You want big name players while I wanted players with good stats in Europe but have never been given the opportunity? Cool your temper bro. So what’s the scandal now? Lol

BascoVanVeli:
I will stick with scandalous because we are talking about a friendly with Liberia and here is my original comment, please show me where I said we should pack the team with NPFL players?

It is a shame that Liberia lost the president's son to USA.
That said I am sure the NFF will get good money from Saudi but the Liberian sports minister confirmed their friendly last night on Soccer Africa. We could split the team in half. It would be a good way to get guys playing time. Liberia would just need some big name players so maybe a popular guy like Iwobi goes with a few Homebase lads.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:36pm On Aug 25, 2018
What’s scandalous about the NPFL not being in session? The way una dey use English words eh. I even caved in after you posited that they were involved in friendlies. Can you quote yourself? You said the team should be made up of home based team and a few mainstay SE players
BascoVanVeli:
I didn't mention any amount of home based players. All I said was that they can be selected but u came up with a scandalous excuse to try to exclude them and that's why I responded. If the players you have in mind couldn't at least beat out Uche Agbo and Stephen Eze as stand by then what the point? At least inviting the homeboys will build their confidence and increase competition in the league.
