Sir, I’ve not watched him once, but you used the word “extremely”. You have raised him to a very high level that I will be looking out for him. tbaba1234: I agree with a player working his way up but it does not always pan out well.
I think this will be Ebere Eze last season in the championship. He is extremely talented. |

Just one good combination play all game from Nigeria but the final ball wasn’t powerful enough. We have been ok in passes compared to out previous games. We are not incisive in front of goals. In games like this you need one individual brilliance. Ajibade who is suppose to bring that is a flop in my opinion. China just scored the kind of goal I expected Ajibade to score. Rasheedat plays like she knows she is the shyt, but in reality, she hasn’t arrived yet. Abusule007: Who's watching Nigeria match? I'm not watching it but I'm just wondering why we can't score goals. So far we've scored only one goal which came from a penalty. If they continue like this, if they qualify from group stage, it would be difficult for them in the quarter finals |

The NPFL is like the Nigerian civil service. Yes it’s a Nigerian problem. How can you stand out from the crowd? The environment does not encourage excellence. BascoVanVeli: My question remains unchanged, is a professional player who transfers to another league guaranteed to succeed? A quality player can go his career without making impact when you add injury and bad luck.
The problem is you want the whole league to be world beaters but that is unrealistic. Players improve if they want to. The premier league didn't make Ronaldo good and neither did la liga with Messi. If players don't want it you can't blame the league. Do u know how many south Africans have flopped in Europe? Only a handfull didn't.
The fact is that the Nigerian player has not been wanting it enough. They want success but not greatness. Like I said this isn't about the NPFL it is a Nigeria problem. How can you blame the NPFL for a Daniel Etor choosing Oman as hiss definition of success? |

Of course schools that have been in existence since who knows when, should have the structures in ground. Private schools can be very well funded as well. I think this debate lacks substance. Both private and public universities are needed. If it’s government owned it should be well funded. likewise, if it’s private. forgiveness: Graduates from the aforementioned public universities are still making impact home and abroad. Gbam!
You should have known that most of the students applying to these schools are mostly the best brains in the country. Even rich kids are many in these universities, therefore, it's expedient the best comes from these schools.
However, UI for your information, is doing everything to remain the best in Nigeria and become one of the best in the world.
What is stopping them is funds. That also can be said about other public universities. The structures is already on ground but fund is issues.
If the government focuses on Education, I don't think the Private schools stands a Chance. |

How many public universities do we have? You mentioned 3 of the private ones you knew about, do you have first hand info on the other 67? By saying the future I was speaking in the context of competition. Private universities are more likely to make changes to their curriculum with ease. You know with anything government owned na long thing. We shouldn’t be having this debate really. Education should be available to as much people as possible. It’s a good thing to have Private universities springing up, so we are left with choices. There should be many universities but at the same time well regulated to ensure they meet up to a standard. safarigirl: 3 out of about 70 is not a pass mark TBH. Generalizations are born out of the idea of a majority.
You equally made a generalization saying private schools are the future, or implying they were better than public schools, next time, to avoid generalisations, just mention the school you talk of is all |

You would give a player you rate highly a chance. Well coaches have their preferences for reasons best known to them. tbaba1234: He had a very good pre season but it seems the coach is not willing to give him a chance. It sometimes happens like that.
I remember when Victor Moses will be very good in preseason but Mourinho will still send him out on loan. Conte gave him a chance and Moses thrived. |

Some people hailed the coach’s style of shouting at the players in every move. I think that is not helping the girls. It is putting undue pressure on them. Off course that was my point earlier. The impact these graduate can make in the fast changing world. Those who made impact in the Industrial Age of yesterday will be left behind in this new age and the one after. Universities should be aware of this and should be quick at updating their curriculum to keep up. forgiveness: What determines a good university is the numbers of their products that are successful in the society.
UI, OAU, UNN, UNILAG etc have their product occupying prominent positions in key industries both locally and internationally.
When it comes to Medicine Literature/Art, UI, Economic is known globally for producing professionals that excelled in these field.
UNN, UNILAG and OAU also have there area of specializations. |

Okay you educated me on lack of synchronized curriculum in public schools. Thanks for that! Your example is just one case. I know of several students that were dropped from private schools because of their poor perdormance. Like you rightly pointed out the environment can encourage learning. This can actually go both ways. you cannot draw conclusion from one example. And besides, isn’t it possible that that girl you mentioned improved in her studies because of the learning environment? This environment thing is subjective oh. I spent a year studying in UNiPORT. Honestly some students can not cope with that kind of stress you find in some public schools. Everyone is not the same. Also another scenario, I have a brother who was doing badly in a public university because of cult issues. When he left for a private university he was very serious with his studies and did better. My dad never bribed one day. Make una stop these generalizations o. Private universities are needed, make your choice. Even better ones will spring up. Too much reliance on government funding won’t help us. Education is business as well, but you have to show value Mickael2: Nigeria's educational system is not well synchronized that is the problem. UI's curriculum differs from that of other schools, in fact it is very very difficult to see two schools in Nigeria with similar learning structures which makes you wonder what exactly the NMA is playing at. For example in some schools you have medical students writing mathematics in their premedical year and you are left wondering what business they have with mathematics. If all public universities can adopt a working model like UI has done and then eschew all these rubbish about tribalism and special cutoff marks for special people(which even UI has not managed to achieve) then trust me we can achieve anything. I don't even understand how this is an argument.
To your first point I disagree too. When we were in our preclinical classes going for anatomy lectures on dissection we had to use cadavers that were at least 20years old, no joke. Go to private universities and see state of the art equipments yet, no offence to anybody oh, they are still producing half baked doctors who we have to put up with during their residency. The problem with private universities is simple, it is profit oriented. If we can just provide these facilities to students in public universities trust me we wouldn't be here today. The simple point here is that private universities do not provide a proper psychological environment for learning to occur(not physical). As an illustration of the point, a female course mate of ours then failed so badly that what she got was a capital letter W after just our first MBBS but somehow she changed to Bowen abi na covenant and graduated with distinction in Anatomy and BCH same things she failed woefully and somehow you want me to believe that private universities will save anybody |

Kai komekn: What is Nigeria a wealthy rich nation.
What is your yardstick for wealth.
Of course we have modern health facilities the best that's why our leaders don't have to seek medical assistance abroad.
goodie have outstanding up to date modern fit for purpose public infrastructure, roads, drainage, electricity supply
The best educational facilities ( that's why we don't have Nigerian in large droves seeking education in Ghana, to name just a few).
Our security services are the best in Africa, that's why when called to Mali we were given non combative guard duty. To further stress our superiority, Chadian soldiers came into the North East to learn from us and in the process almost took out Boko garam completely.
Our judiciary is the best in the world that's why IBORI was discharged and acquitted on 70 counts in Asaba but pleaded guilty to more or less the same charges in a UK court.
Our judges are incorruptible and of unquestionable integrity. Corruption is at the forefront of this administration's quest for good governance that it has so comprehensively reduced corruption that nobody of substance has been convicted in the last three years.
Our roads are the best in West Africa once you cross the Seme border you immediately see the transformation in comparison to these smaller countries third world countries with a GDP less than some of our state governments.
Nigeria is the giant of Africa and ahead of the game. A first world nation. |

We don’t need anyone to define it for us. It’s simple, we. Can redefine the term. But how well off is your neighborhood if you are the only one doing well in it? The middle class in Nigeria is scantily small. But then You have a multitude of very poor people. Some facts are staring in our faces. We need to focus on our needs as a people. But our needs are very glaring. I didn’t say my needs, I said our needs.. and the facts have been staring out faces for decades now and very little is done to change the tide in the nearest future. No game plan, but officers who have a plan to keep on stealing from the masses. . forgiveness: Based on that colonial biased mentality ideology analyses, all Asian, Oceania. South America and Africa are third world countries as long as they are from those continents but all Europe and North America are Eldorado on earth. Despite the fact that some of these same African, Asian and South America countries are far developed than some Western Europe and America according to their oluwole theory yet ...
Meanwhile, the brainwashed black man who was made to believe his forefathers were rescued from primitive life to civilization through the help of colonialism, will just swallow hook line and sinker whatever have been told them without thorough research and analysis on their part.
It is high time we start to focus on our own need than rather keep comparing ourselves with others.
We should not allow people to keep setting standards for us. |
