One thing is certain. those names you guys are mentioning have not been making headlines in any of the sources we have been sharing. We always make our opinions based on how we are informed. Feel free to share UPDATES about those players even if it means going to far away sources forgiveness: If you really followed the debate you should have known that tbaba1234 claimed Rohr was looking for a better DM because we don't have a DM who can play multiple roles and he challenge me to list any DM eligible for call. That was why I listed 4 players better than Chidiebere Nwakali in that role.
Later, thegoodjoe in his defence claimed Chidiebere Nwakali was scouted out because he has certain attributes the players I listed lacked but I disagreed by showing videos to dismantle one of his false claims that Raheem lawal can run with the ball. I could not get the video of Hope Akpan on net hence the need not to drag about him.
As you can see, na talk bring talk. So, stop chosen sides and judge well. |

Nwakaeme plays as a LW most times.. but hey, we have about 5 players injured, most of which are starters. Also considering Rohr seems to be operating based on the pecking order. so yes maybe Iheanacho ahead of Kayode. See now that he has called up Omeruo. Ogu will get his chance now that Agu and Onazi are out safarigirl: Rohr would never start 4 benchers in one game and even if he was starting them, certainly not in this manner.
Kayode that is only in the team because Ighalo got injured cannot jump over Kelechi to start for instance.
Is Nwakaeme a winger? Can he play that role better than Onyekuru?
Anyway, it's your preferred line-up |

Gent Winger Moses Simon Loses Fitness Battle, Withdraws From Nigeria Squad Published: November 05, 2017
Gent Winger Moses Simon Loses Fitness Battle, Withdraws From Nigeria SquadAllnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that exciting winger Moses Simon has become the latest player to withdraw from the Super Eagles squad, as he has joined Changchun Yatai F.C frontman Odion Ighalo in the treatment room.
The availability of the Gent star had been questionable after he picked up a foot injury in training, before Friday night's game vs Standard Liege.
Simon's injury has been assessed by Gent's medics and they have advised him not to travel to Africa and Russia for the World Cup qualifier against Algeria and the international friendly against Argentina.
''Moses Simon won't be available for the games against Algeria and Argentina due to the foot injury,'' a top source close to the Gent number 27 told allnigeriasoccer.com.
With Chelsea dazzler Victor Moses not named in the latest roster due to a hamstring complaint, Simon was in line to start his fourth straight game in the World Cup qualifiers against the Desert Foxes.
Manager Gernot Rohr is also sweating on the fitness of Trabzonspor midfielder Eddy Onazi, while John Ogu and Leon Balogun have not featured for their clubs in the last three matches because of concerns over their fitness.

Ndidi started out as a CB though.. goldfish80: He relies on his tall legs to bail him out of tackles. If he was a foot shorter, he would have been sent off more than a couple of times.
As for getting a look in from big clubs, he could well get a look in but he will be deployed at CB not DM. Top clubs like DMs with good ball distribution and this has been Ndidi's weakest arsenal. His passing has a lot to be desired. I think he could develop into a fine CB ala Vincent Kompany (who played as a DM during his days at Hamburg). |

Kanu blasts cash wins games in NNL, alleges govt clubs bully private clubs
By admin - November 5, 2017
Nwankwo Kanu has raised serious concerns over the officiating in the second-tier Nigeria National League (NNL), alleging that clubs owned by government have the cash to get more favourable refereeing than a team like Papilo FC, who he bankrolls .
He told SCORENigeria that privately owned clubs like his are being muscled out by the financially heavyweight government clubs, saying that development is not good for the league and football generally in Nigeria. “It has been a very difficult journey in terms of results as regards officiating,” former Nigeria captain Kanu said.
“What I see in this league is that if you have enough money, then you can win games.
“And if it so, there is no need for us trying to invest and bringing up a team.
“This is because if you bring up a good team, here I’m talking about going to the grassroot to help the young ones to come up and perform.
“And if these young ones are not being encouraged by officiating, then it means we are going back to square one.
“Because for me, it is always good to play on an open environment where officiating will not favour or negatively affect any club.
“And this is not good for football and the league. That is the greatest problem that we do have”.
Kanu also informed SCORENigeria that his former club Arsenal are not involved in the running of his pet team, Papilo FC.
The former Gunner and ex Super Eagles captain said contrary speculations, he has no assistance from the North London club.
“Papilo FC are not into any deal with Arsenal,” he told SCORENigeria
“We don’t wear Arsenal jersey. When you talk of Arsenal, you talk of Kanu because I played for Arsenal and I’m also an Arsenal Legend.
“I’ve also been following Arsenal.
“But in terms of we having anything to do with Arsenal in terms of sponsorship or kitting endorsement, no, there is nothing like that.
“If we do, I won’t be here complaining. Perhaps, that could be on the way in future, you never can tell, but for now, they are not involved even in our academy or the football club.
“I’m the one running the club and the academy”.

Adegbenro would have made my list but for Nwakaeme who also plays as a left winger komekn: Never played first team.
Not too long ago actually earlier this year about February. It was made intrinsically clear to that he didn’t want to play for England.
I have heard talk that he does now.
Which may not be surprising he wants to go to the World cup and he is a forgotten man as far as England is concerned.
Since we talking Norway moi moi league.
What about 21 year old Samuel Adegbenro in one of the two stand out quality teams in that league. Plays for Rosenburg FC as winger 13 games this season in all competitions and 5 goals.
I wonder why the esteemed scouting crew of the NFF never noticed him. But somehow went to the bottom third to club and said Aha !!! Real quality. |

Komekn, from your list na only Hope fit shoe up for camp immediately should we give him a call up. So let's start the real argument-- Hope Akpan vs C. Nwakali. So you and forgiveness are suggesting Akpan and Lawal instead. Or are there other valid names? Mujtahida: This is the problem. When they say mention and you come up with British born Nigerians whose allegiance to Nigeria is either non existent or hanging by whiskers it frustrates me. Nwakali has been invited. Pronto he'd be in camp come when camp opens. If Seyi, Tega, Ejaria are invited today will it be smooth sailing? You know that saying na: a bird in hand..... |

Of course Nwankwo Kanu based on club performance. Mujtahida: Talking point: When four four two magazine compiled a list of 100 greatest footballers not even a single African( not even the great George Opong Weah who in 1995 won the World best, the Ballon d'or and Apoty) not to talk of Nigerian was mentioned. However this list of football LEGENDS by the German based IFFHS contains at least five Africans, Rabah Madjer, George Weah, Lucas Radabe, Roger Milla and our own Kanu Nwankwo
WHO IS NIGERIA'S GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME? IFFHS Provides Answer (Full List 48 Legend Players) Published: November 03, 2017 Football statisticians, International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), has published on its official webpage the 48 football legend players. Of the 48 legends of the game picked by the German-based organization, only one Nigerian, former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu, made the prestigious list. Other famous names selected are Diego Maradona (Argentina), Pele (Brazil), Ronaldo (Brazil), Roger Milla (Cameroon), Zinedine Zidane (France), Gerd Muller (Germany), Roberto Baggio (Italy), George Weah (Liberia) and Ruud Gullit (Netherlands). Kanu became the only Nigerian to win the African Player of the Year award twice when he scooped the accolade for 1999 after winning it in 1997. The striker helped Nigeria win the 1993 Fifa U17 World Cup and 1996 Olympic gold medal in football. He won the Champions League with Ajax Amsterdam in 1995, UEFA Cup with Inter Milan in 1998, three Eredivisie titles, two Premier League titles and the FA Cup three times. 48 Football Legends Rabah Madjer (Algeria) Alfredo Stéfano Di Stéfano (Spain) Diego Maradona (Argentina) Pele (Brazil) Manuel Francisco dos Santos (Brazil) Ronaldo de Lima (Brazil) Zico (Brazil) Roger Milla (Cameroon) Hao Haidong (China) Sun Jihai (China) Mahmoud El-Khatib (Egypt) Mohamed Aboutrika (Egypt) Michel Platini (France) Zinedine Zidane (France) Franz Anton Beckenbauer (Germany) Gerd Muller (Germany) Lothar Matthaus (Germany) Ferenc Puskas (Hungary) Baichung Bhutia (India) Ali Daei (Iran) Dino Zoff (Italy) Roberto Baggio (Italy) Hidetoshi Nakata (Japan) Cha Bum-kun (South Korea) Jasem Yaqoub Sultan Al-Besara (Kuwait) George Weah (Liberia) Antonio Carbajal (Mexico) Hugo Sánchez (Mexico) Hendrik Johannes Cruijff (Netherlands) Marco Van Basten (Netherlands) Ruud Gullit (Netherlands) Wynton Alan Whai Rufer (New Zealand) Nwankwo Kanu (Nigeria) José Luis Félix Chilavert González (Paraguay) Eusébio (Portugal) Luis Figo (Portugal) Lev Ivanovich Yashin (Soviet Union) Majed Ahmed Abdullah (Saudi Arabia) Francisco Gento (Spain) Tanju çolak (Turkey) Oleh Volodymyrovych Blokhin (Ukraine) Bobby Charlton (England) David Beckham (England) Stanley Matthews (England) Juan Alberto Schiaffino (Uruguay) Landon Timothy Donovan (USA) Lucas Radebe (South Africa) Ryan Giggs (Wales) Ifeanyi Emmanuel Photo Credit : arsenal.com |

Swansea 0-1 Brighton (56 minutes played) 52' Tammy Abraham (Swansea) receives a slide-rule pass inside the box and has just the keeper to beat. His shot low towards the middle of the goal lacks power and Mathew Ryan easily makes the save. The linesman makes the right call and Swansea will have a corner. |

I became a fan of Nwafor instantly . I find it baffling that he didn't go to the WC. goldfish80: Egwuekwe also played exceptionally well in Congo. He had a nasty cut on the head but still dug in with his bandaged head. He was a big reason we won that game. People remember Aaron Samuel for scoring the winner but Egwuekwe was the main man.
It leaves me quite sad when people call out players when they want to make a mundane comparison.
On this thread, It has become a fun thing to name Uche Nwaofor in Keshi's shiit list. This same Uche Nwaofor was the top scorer for the John Obuh lead U20 team in 2011. This guy was so good that Venlo signed him up straight from Rangers. At Venlo, he formed a deadly strike partnership with Ahmed Musa which terrorised teams in Holland. On his Super Eagles debut, he scored a brace against South Africa. The second goal was a back heel which embarrassed Khunle! I find it a bit odd that he keeps making everyone's shiit list. |
