Ok true. We don't need experiments. We know our proven coaches. Amuneke has knocked himself out. Icon4s: |
Yes. Girona was leading at the time I followed the game. I was expecting Kayode to feature. goldfish80: |

He merits it. AndreTAyodeji: |
well Siasia is a confident coach. From his track record he is good tactically and hardly intimidated by the name of the opponent. All the coaches we have mentioned are good in their own right. I think the U23 coaching job is a part time one since te tournament is held every 4 years and there is hardly any activity at the U23 level besides Olympics preparation. Which is why I think Siasia should handle both. He has a good track record with both as well Scouting is one thing. Coaching is yet another. Obuh can be saddled with scouting for us at all levels. Micheal Olaitan was on fire in 2013/14 season. His career has nosedived since he collapsed. He is now a free agent |
That's the "my boys" factor. it seems most players from the U20 class of Turkey 2013 were not given a chance. (John Obuh boys) Here is the list (Bolded were given a chance): Okani, Ndidi, Madu, Shehu, Okorie, Aminu, Michael, Kayode, Ajagun, Gero, Agboyi, Usman, Falagha, Amaefule, Eduok (I remember had age discrepancies), Pyagbara, Orkuma, Osuchukwu, Egbedi, Agbo, Simon Icon4s: |
There is always a "his boys" factor. But let's not forget he gave many players a chance before Rio. If not for European clubs refusing to release many. Is there any player you have in mind, he didn't give a chance? Icon4s: |
FLASHBACK: Omidiji follows me on Twitter. He even posted happy memories with the time he spent with Danladi. Today we have a different U15 coach. Nigeria U15 Coach Hoping To Convince Omidiji To Play For Nigeria, Blasts Dedevbo For Messing Up Sister Published: November 15, 2016 Nigeria U15 Coach Hoping To Convince Omidiji To Play For Nigeria, Blasts Dedevbo For Messing Up SisterNigeria U15 coach, Danladi Nasidi, is confident he can convince FC Dordrecht sensation Lateef Omidiji Jr to pledge his international future to Nigeria and not United States or Netherlands, but admits he faces a stumbling block after his sister, Sophia, was unceremoniously dropped from the Falconets squad ahead of the Fifa U20 World Cup. Omidiji, who has been dubbed the new Luis Suarez by top scouts in Europe, has been training with the United States U14s squad at the National Training Center in Carson, California since Sunday, November 13, and is extremely happy with the training facilities. “I have been making efforts to get Lateef Omidiji Jr to play for Nigeria, and efforts are still on, ” said Danladi Nasidi to allnigeriasoccer.com. “Whenever the NFF call for camping, I will get him back. Since 2014, we’ve not had an U13 and U15 team, I have been pleading with them to bring this programme back even if it is monthly camping or friendly matches. “Lateef has a passion for Nigeria, but his sister Sophia has been messed up. I am still begging him that this is his fatherland, I am positive we will get him back.” Danladi Nasidi thinks that the Nigerian youth teams, Under 17 and U20, have not lived up to expectations in recent matches because the Nigerian Federation chose to ignore their conveyor belt, the U13 and U15 squads. “The youth programme is the bedrock of any national team. Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi, Lazarus and Akpan started from U13, now they are the strength of the Super Eagles. That is why our U17 and U20 teams are messing up. “U15 have friendly matches in Dubai at the end of this month until December, but we are not sure of attending, ” Nasidi added. Meanwhile, Lateef Omidiji’s representative has announced that the whole world is watching how the Nigeria Football Federation handles the 13-year-old’s matter, and other players of Nigerian descent may not accept invitations to the national teams in future. “There are so many Nigerian kids abroad waiting to see how it goes with Lateef Omidiji Jr, except Barrister Akinwunmi, they, the NFF, did nothing. “Dembele is being chased by the Ivory Coast because they see the importance of youth. Eagles come from an egg. “Then they chase Iwobi, Troost-Ekong and Leon after they play for the youth teams for other countries, we cannot have a true U17 team if we continue doing that,” he informed allnigeriasoccer.com. Omidiji is expected to take part in a maximum of five games during the United States U14 get-together which ends on Sunday. Ifeanyi Emmanuel |
I think Siasia is our best at the U20/U23 level. Amuneke has already said he is done with underage coaching. I'm satisfied with Manu Garba for U17 if he goes back to his old ways of doing things. And Danladi Nasidi as U15. There is no need to change what is already working. Icon4s: |

you know our way na.. make generalizations as facts.. How could an official say they were all older? Did he check each and everyone of them personally? We are never thorough in our culture. We make generalizations and it becomes "them say", then everyone believes it. Icon4s: |

Nigerian-Born Liverpool Winger Adekanye Named In Netherlands Squad Published: August 18, 2017 Nigerian-Born Liverpool Winger Adekanye Named In Netherlands SquadIbadan-born winger Bobby Adekanye is set to return from the international wilderness after he was named in the provisional Netherlands U19 squad for their upcoming friendlies. The 18-year-old has not featured for the Dutch youth teams after suffering an ankle ligament injury while on international duty with the U17 squad in 2016. KNVB coach Maarten Stekelenburg has taken note of the fact that Adekanye is in tip-top condition and included him in his provisional squad. The Netherlands U19s will face Belgium (August 30), Portugal (September 1) and hosts Finland (September 4) during the international break. Adekanye, who has caps for Netherlands U16 and U17 national teams, has not ruled out playing for the country of his birth, Nigeria, in future. Ifeanyi Emmanuel --ANS |
Rosenborg Newboy Adegbenro Steals The Headline With Debut Goal Against Ajax August 17, 2017020 Samuel Adegbenro got off to a flying start with his new Norwegian side by scoring the lone goal in their 1-0 win over European giants Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena. Adegbenro joined Rosenborg 72 hours ago from fellow Norwegian side Viking for a fee in the region of €1.5m, and was named on the bench for their Europa League qualifiers against Ajax. Are we not "begging" the UK now? Everything points back to developing your own so you have something to fall back to. tbaba1234: |
Maybe school matter.. if you are going to tag people please do well to spell their monikers accurately, so it will notify them in form of a mention. do4luv14: |
I will do my research on furnishing you that list sir. I'v been checking for updates on Spotkik or at least an official statement from them maidaboi: |
Yes thanks for the info. He's been promoted. But he was called up for that game. Having Alampasu as 2nd choice for a first tier side, and Uzoho as a 3rd choice for a first tier side is definitely good news for us. I guess we are still scared to use them in the SE. tbaba1234: |
Thanks for that info. Never new he tried out in England. Oh yes and I watched the video of when he talked about playing for Nigeria. It shows character, when he says he wants to take up the more difficult challenge as it has to do with winning the World Cup. To be the first star means he wants that special name that special or unique thing added to his resume(considering Nigeria has never won the world cup or has a slimmer chance of doing so), a decision he thinks his peers will not normally take. That's a professional decision, not necessarily that he feels more Nigerian. On the flip side he acknowledged that Germany has a lot of good players.. Let's consider this case. komekn: |
Okay I meant to say Samuel initially and not his former teammate Denis Icon4s: |
Uzoho missing in Deportivo La Coruna's last 3 pre-season fixtures. Proof of official squad list below. After more research I discovered he was among two players called up to join teammates at Deportivo Fabril for a game against Real Madrid Castilla. on their official websites: http://www.rcdeportivo.es/noticia/edu-exposito-y-francis-en-la-lista-del-fabril-para-el-trofeo-manolo-martin?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter

The second match between Our Future Eagles and their Moroccan counterpart ended 1-1 |
Another case we need to consider. In my opinion Fabian likes the challenge of being the first to do it with Nigeria, because in his words there are so many good players in Germany -- it's easier to win the world cup with Germany. Germany born midfielder, Fabian Senninger has revealed that he wants to play for Nigeria’s senior national team – Super Eagles and win the World Cup. Hannover’s 20 year old German/Nigerian right-back Fabian Senninger dreams of playing for the Super Eagles. He’s currently with the U21 team pic.twitter.com/IDx9LviWsW — Football Naija (@Football_Naija) December 29, 2016 The 20 year old player who also plays right back stated in a recent interview. “My father is saying I should play for Germany like my uncle, but me myself personal I want to play for Nigeria, there are so many good players in Germany and it’s easy to win the World Cup with Germany but I want to win the World Cup with Nigeria and get the first star”. The 20 year old, who recently joined German youth side Hannover 96 from Nike Academy said his father wants him to play for Germany, like his uncle did but he wants to play for Nigeria. |
Yes thanks for the correction about Portimonense. However, Uzoho has been loaned to Deportivo Fabril Modified. You are actually right on that as well tbaba1234: |

Cameroon Have A Better Team Than Us – Rohr Confesses August 17, 2017026 Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot says Cameroon are in a better shape than Nigeria ahead of their back to back World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie next month. Nigeria are currently leading group B of the Africa World Cup 2018 Qualifiers with six points, four more than second placed Cameroon their next opponent when the qualifiers resumes in September. Rohr in an exclusive interview with Owngoalnigeria.com said Cameroon have played more games than Nigeria in the year leading to the game and that will naturally give them a physiology edge over Nigeria. “I’m not afraid, we are not afraid playing against Cameroon. They are a good team of course but I think if we are able to win the first game, we’ll see what will happen in the second game. ” The problem is that Cameroon has physiological advantage, Since after winning the AFCON they have played 13 games or 14, no 13 games I mean while we have played only three, they are really a team now and we have to be able to present a team in a few days to beat them”.
