I've always said it. The moment we fix electricity then we will have most things stable, production capacity will increase, companies will grow, more jobs, more prosperity.... but then fixing electricity is a rocket science in Nigeria filled my many proffessors of Physics and Engineering.

Very possible.. It is all about setting a target and a goal.

With anything in life, you want to work smart and harder. U will notice that drivers that complain on this forum are still driving.. If it is that very bad, they should quit and look for something else...

I had a driver about 1yr ago working for me. This driver was able to save money and bought a tokunbo corolla . And now he has his own car and not paying rental. All that money goes into his pocket...

He is married man with kids. So he is focus

wow...thanks for the heads up.

To be honest I think 10k should be the base/average target for any driver. I started this hustle 2 months ago and any day I work full day because I do this part time (on my off days) I must go home with 10k inside my pocket not Uche’s bolt account balance.

It is now a routine that for every 8500-9000(full tank) fuel I buy I must make 10k three times before I refill. And this is just in Abuja with horrible fare, I believe Lagos should be higher.

There are people who net 20,30 even 40k daily, but these are experienced old timers with a long network of offline clients.

Thanks so much for these breakdown

Don't leave the job yet. Do the ehailing in your spare time and weekend to observe if it's something you can do, in terms of income and job demands.

The job is as good as gone.

Mr joetem, kindly ask him and other drivers how easy it is to net 10k a day ?
That net 10k a day no be fore newbies, except weekends. Why ?
Cause you will see 10k net on your dashboard but but not in your account because the fuel you would have used to net the 10k daily will be way more than you can imagine.

so for you to net 10k, you have to gross like 18k abi?

How easy it to achieve that one daily?

Very good option combine the two and you will see the difference.
My point is ehailing is not sustainable, you can’t do it for years, I keep wondering how this taxi-cab Baba’s drive for 10yrs and train their children. Young guys can’t go to school and drive for 10yrs mba

thanks baba

Unless you are being laid off. If not just continue with your work that got you 2010 car.
If not your mental health and and physical health will be destroyed driving olosho, yahoo boys and mannerless people up and down Lagos.
Better still find way to jappa, I will not advise anyone to join the hustle now. With fuel scarcity and no surge.
Tabi your village people dey whyne you ?
Wake up

The job didnt get me the car. Side hustle did, a job that forbid me picking up my call even if na emergency is anti-progress. The pay is less than ₦150k plus emotional trauma. My village people are nice, dem no dey whyme me yet. You be comedian sha.

I'm looking at combining e-hailing and my side hustle instead

Education / Re: Salaudeen Waliu: Why I Beat Lecturer To Coma – UNILORIN Student by joetem(m): 7:54am On Nov 16, 2021

How do you know he was accused unjustly?
Can you prove it or believe the cook and bull story?
What makes you think he might not be under the influence of drugs?
What fairness, his reason was baseless with no proofs backing him?
Do you know his history academically or socially?

Am not defending the lecturer but any human who lacks self-control doom awaits them.

It takes a lot to be a teacher/lecturer, trust me, no one listened to him. Even if its suspected to be a cook up story, he should have been refered to the school's counsellor/psychologist. Find out the truth before casting aspersions. Even if he was lieing and found out, there is a way they will counsell him and guide him to accept the judgement without him going haywire
Education / Re: Salaudeen Waliu: Why I Beat Lecturer To Coma – UNILORIN Student by joetem(m): 12:47am On Nov 16, 2021
It's still a fault of the university system, someone just got out of injustice without therapy. Police accused him wrongly and locked up. The lecturer was supposed to refer him to school's counsellor/trauma therapist before announcing to him reason he has to take the siwes the following year instead of just telling him outrightly No!! The lecturer isnt well trainned and has no regard for how student feel. I'm a teacher and i know most of those who parade themselves as lecturers have no biz being in school environment. Now they will cast a judgement on the boy that will turn him to thug forever and he may return to hunt the entire school system. They should rehabilitate the boy if they want to be fair

Buy and drive honda city 07 @give away price. Very fuel efficient. You only need to paint the front bumper scratched by okada. You can recoup your investment on this car in two months.... Halla at me if it soothes your desire.

Politics / Re: Banks Begin Deduction Of Loans From Chronic Debtors’ Accounts by joetem(m): 2:53pm On Nov 01, 2021

Very good. Nigerians don't like paying their debts. I wonder the tree they think the lender plucked the money from.

Na for this nairaland a chronic debtor was looking for a way to tarnish sokoloan image simply because sokoloan sent embarrassing messages to his contacts when he defaulted despite agreeing to such when he accepted their terms.

Government should employ this method so that loan apps and other lenders can easily collect back their loans.

NO HIDING PLACE FOR CHRONIC DEBTORS
