ajoks533: Please let's forget this argument before it will linger like the last one that Spartacus initiated.
The truth is this, riding uber depends on individuals and the state of their minds and needs per the time of request.
A top notch CEO can decide to ride on Uber and still have his security details with him... Maybe 1 or 2 and you won't even know. Some even sneak out just to have that freedom you and I have, without any security personnel body checking every of his movement... Or do you think they too don't do nkoro things?
It's true a very high profile CEO must and is always advised to follow the guidelines of his security details to avoid stories that touch. However, remember Hon. Rotimi Amaechi when he was the Governor of Rivers State used to ride around the city on a motor bike doing inspection on projects. I had a chat with one of the security men assigned to him then. He said he doesn't give any signal that he wants to move, he just mount and speed off, they have to start making radio calls to track him down.
We just give too much value to people in this part of the world, that's why we don't believe these people can decide on few occasions to live a normal life, even if it's for just 30mins. Moreover, no be everybody know everybody, even when you hear their names on a reg... Like me, If Otedola or any of his child or whatever takes a ride with me, I won't even know, cos I don't know him in person or taken note of how he looks. The same Spartacus initiated this argument with another handle, can we just ignore and share experiences people will benefit from. Only the jobless tarry on argument!!! |

sassysure: Go to the post office and enquire. I mean major post office in your state. No middle man. Post office will send it to his house through ems. Don't listen to people telling you to contact them. 28kg maximum. They will answer all your questions.
No African shop near him? It's cheaper buying from African shops. Thanks |

Mike4S: My post was not meant to look down on HND holders but to promote professionalism. A HND holder and the rest of you dabbling into teaching should go to your field. We are tired of dabblers in this noble profession. Did I hear you say "Teachers are born not made?" It is rather the other way round. Please tone down this rant, from experience those without education degree or NCE are often smarter than the so called NCE and B.Ed holders, I've been interviewing people for about 7 years now. I prefer to employ smart people and prefer to advise and guide them to go for training on how to teach. Do you know that about 90% of those who read education didn't choose to study education but rather pushed to do so as last resort. I planned from onset to be a lecturer but never studied education as first degree, now teaching, training teachers and consulting for schools. The problem is not those dabbling Into teaching, but lack of foresight on the part of our education ministry, policy summersault here and there, no curriculum identity, that is why you see school advertising all sort of curriculum, private schools everywhere and majority are mere business centres. Let's channel our complaints to the right quarters please!!! |

ornicus: How about you take responsibility for your poor family by not jeopardizing your business? Having three cars on uber should tell you I'm not broke, and my family isn't poor either. I figured your folly is irredeemable. Empty barrel catching fun by insulting others. You are not properly raised and hereby ignored. Anuofia. |

ornicus: Who are you calling poor? Oga stop projecting. Face the fact that your paddy is a THIEF who attempted to defraud his business partner. He further attempted to deceive a customer with a cock and bull story.
It is people like you that destroy businesses because of their greed
This sums it up Lol....anyways, I don't drive uber, but have cars on uber and I know what my drivers face, I empathize with them and won't support fraud, ,my point is, if he requested for offline and you are not cool with it, I still stand on my point, politely reject and talk calmly to him on why you feel it's not good to do so. Really, poor minds are callous. Some of these drivers have families, responsibilities, how will they meet up? Think!!! |

ornicus: How does one report irresponsible drivers? This driver started saying we should go off Uber because he claimed the road is bad. People like this may not even be able to afford tyres, yet Wont bear simple understanding , why are poor people so wicked and show no understanding Why? He may only trying to maximize profits, why not turn him down politely or counsel him |

seunmsg: The usual senseless reaction from Reno. There is no difference between the state of education under Jonathan and what it is right now under Buhari. The so called N424billion education budget under Jonathan had no impact because it was stolen by PDP rogues like Reno. Obviously you know nothing about education!!! Infact I don't know how to start educating you.. |

They are the ones that influence votes and help mediocre to rule us. In Conjunction with the North they employ their polygamous lifestyle and population strength to alter the direction of the country's elite and rational class during elections.
...and that's why we are where we are at the moment.
P.S . I AM OMOLUABI KARO O' JIRE It's time we resort electoral voting system. Otherwise the larger the population with low reasoning capacity will continue to determine how we are governed and by extension ruin the well-being of everyone |
