I've seen a lot of people raining curses on Wike for demolishing the Hotel in Eleme. While I don't support the way he handle things, I believe RULES should be obeyed.
As we have seen over the last few weeks, Nigeria doesn't have what it takes to handle a full blown Corona virus, even the US are finding it difficult to keep things in check.
So let's always obey any rule the Government puts in place.
Pleas Note: Here are some responses to the post.

Fxmanager: There is no Nigerian government regulated forex broker currently. Forex brokers might have their representatives here in Nigeria, but have their headquarters in another country where there are regulated by the government of that country. That regulation protects/covers traders/investors doing business with the broker, provided the regulation protects/covers citizens from your country.
Though you also don't need to rely on government regulation alone, but also rely on the forex broker's user reviews, especially in the angle of deposits/withdrawals. Currently the only reliable independent forex broker's user reviews website is www.forexpeacearmy.com You answered my question. In other words, your Citadel is not even SEC approved o approved by any Government agency in Nigeria. So why the fixation on MBA SEC approval? |

Joeyburton: This is stock market not forex market. Stock market is even better. If you know what a company is doing right you can invest in them. Like Tesla we all know will skyrocket in the future when we start running low on energy sources we have now and everyone starts shifting towards renewable energy. Stock market is much better. If they traded forex they probably wont even be close to that 40% per annum. Forex is unpredictable as hell.
MBA must truly be a magician.
If anyone thinks 5% a month is not encouraging then you have been listening to too many scammers online and you either need to stay away from forex or get the right information and lower your expectations or you will find yourself homeless very fast. Stock is dependant of the company's performance, while your failure or success as a forex trader is dependent on your strategies and other factors. How hard can that be. Stop generalizing - you can either win or lose in Forex. Saying one can't make above 40% a month is absurd. |

BluntTheApostle: Please, what is the association of the first tweet with the supposed gang-rape tweet?
The first post can very well stand independent of the second, and vice versa. The law would treat them differently.
You people are so ignorant about the law. You obviously don't use Twitter. The second was the post he made for being called daddy's boy. The first is a private message to the same person. He sent the guy a private message claiming he will pass his mother around, after saying he heard about her ability to take dicks. If you still don't get it, then you are beyond redemption. |

BluntTheApostle: The guy is right.
Seems like you don't know how the law works. That sentence: "I will pass your mother to my friends" might appear straightforward to laymen like you, but to the law, it can mean many things.
Now, since it can mean anything, the onus is on the journalist to prove that it means "We will gang-rape your mother."
A seasoned journalist should know better than to use gang-rape in place of "pass around".
Even if any layman does not know that black can be white under the law, a journalist should know too well. Stop quoting me if you don't have the full details of the story. These are screenshots of the story. Did you see where he mentioned her ability to take dicks? You obviously know nothing about the law. There's no ambiguity here. The only court where that boy will go Scot free is a baise court.

pluto09: What MBA forex is doing can only happen in a country with no rule of law. You don't just start collecting deposit from unsuspecting public without getting regulatory approval in the name of forex trading.. Getting approval is the first thing and not the other way round.
Most of the companies licensed in some of the countries you mentioned are brokers and we all know MBA is not a brokage company. Not just brokerages, the FDA in SA licenses Investment firms. Read up oga. So if someone cannot start a business in Nigeria, because there's no regulations for it? You create regulations when a business becomes prevalent. Moreover, SEC has been talking about creating forex regulations since 2018. |

Can you provide a link to your trading performance track record from www.fxstat.com, www.fxblue.com or www.myfxbook.com for us to see this your trading performance? We are interested. You guys keep repeating this nonsense of no government regulations. How is it MBA's fault that SEC has refuse to enact any regulation for FX. South Africa had, Angola and many other countries with lower daily trades than Nigeria has FX regulations. But the SEC has refused to do anything about it despite its promises in 2018. |

fineboynl: when you said service every 3 months. what kind of service? because the outdoor unit is high up where hand cannot reach. or you mean the air filters Typically the have to loosen and clean the inside. They can use ladder to bring it down. From my experience, they don't charge extra fro those living upstairs. Some might even wash it and couple it without bringing it down. |
Car Talk › Re: Please Help My Split AC Is Losing Freon (gas). by Joevics(m): 1:54pm On Apr 13, 2020 |
fineboynl: that means they will bring it down as i stays up floor. and it might take days to fix. and the price might be high.
but this guy doesn't sound like someone who want to bring it down and solder it. he just said 5k and I should not worry. he will fix it. I am guessing 2.5k will take care of the gas refill. hence I'm scared He has to bring it down. That's the only way to identify and solder any leakages. - If he doesn't solder it, you'll be in the same position in a few months time. The place you live (upstairs or not) shouldn't affect the cost. A small bottle of R24 gas was 1500 years ago, and a 1Hp AC might take 1andhalf. 5k is okay |
Car Talk › Re: Please Help My Split AC Is Losing Freon (gas). by Joevics(m): 11:32am On Apr 13, 2020 |

There's a leak somewhere. But you can't do it yourself, and I doubt if sealants work.
The AC will serve you more if you take it to a technician to fix the leak.
What they usually do is to use foamed water to check all the pipes for leakages. They will then weld the leak and refill the gas.
And your AC will be back to new.
#Note: make it a habit to service your AC every three months, so it will last long. |

A broken home is better than one with emotional and physical abuse. That excuse about broken home is invalid. One good parent can bring up a child properly. Lol. She highlighted physical abuse as a good reason for divorce. And you are wrong about children from single parents. |

0ubenji: this is an interesting twist to this idle and largely unproductive debate. An alleged ponzi scheme calling for SEC regulation.
SEC is discrediting a market it has refused to regulate. Hmmn.. Let's see what grossintel and the gang have to chip in.
It's interesting to see ppl argue over nothing that will not alter eventualities which, at this time, is unknown to many. I'm a Nigerian saying SEC has abandoned the original purpose for it's creation. This is an article from SEC in 2018 about regualting forex trading. Up till today nothing has been done. https://sec.gov.ng/public-notice-online-retail-foreign-exchange-forex-trading/Forex trading is legal. Nigerians are investing into these platforms. The essence of creating SEC isn't to issue warnings, but to create regulations to protect investors. Read this article and you'll understand my grievances. https://financefeeds.com/market-regulation-challenge-hinder-retail-fx-growth-africa-guest-editorial/South Africa and several other African countries with less daily trades than Nigeria already have FX regulations. But the SEC is dragging it's feet. The question is WHY? |
Investment › Re: MBA Investors Forum by Joevics(m): 3:26pm On Apr 06, 2020 |
solreb: You have a point truly. I am one of the investors and I am really cut in between borrowing more funds to put into the MBA. I will be more comfortable if they can confirm they are registered with SEC based on the publication of March 27 2020. They paid timely my two ROIs due a few days ago, expecting the last one. The question is should I reinvest the ROI together with some borrowed funds to the tune of N4m? I have a target set which will require reinvesting this N4m and the ROI for next month. SEC doesn't have the modalities to regulate MBA and other forex platforms, and they are too lazy to copy what SEC in other countries are doing. The CEO of MBA has been asking SEC to set up modalities for a long time ( https://businessday.ng/companies/article/stakeholders-call-for-enhanced-forex-regulation-to-combat-fraud/). You should know everything in this country is padi-padi. Giving credence to forex Investment platforms may strip investors from stockbrokers and firms who have people in SEC. |

grossintel: And they still can't tell the signs of shortage of funds, Now they are delaying payments upto 3 days, soon it will be a week, then BOOM! We're going on maintenance. What y'all don't know is the money they are paying you is a bit of your own money. The only time they really pay you is on your 6th month when you demand for your capital. It's an old trick, they just give you 15% of the money you invested. When they run out of new investors that would be the end. I can bet my left balls MBA is not trading Forex. I said it here many times now it's becoming clear, y'all can keep fighting yourselves. - With all your analysis, you didn't know that every business will experience delay during this period. - All these operations where once done from the office and only few at home. But now it all has to be done from home. It's expected that there will be delays. - Secondly, If MBA were a Ponzi scheme, they will offer higher ROI for higher Investment to entice more high paying investors. - Of course it will be better to have 100 N100,000,000 investors as opposed to 5000 N100,000 to N360,000. But the reverse is the case. - MBA is a forex trading company, so they structured the ROI in a way they can easily pay ROI at the end of every month. Take your analysis elsewhere. |
