PoliticsRe: What Are The "Sins" Of President Jonathan? by Joey82(m): 10:59pm On May 01, 2013
Sincerenigerian,

I think the matter with u and ur likes is u want every body to like what u like either good or bad.
nigeria is one hell of a country, there is no saint that can rule it without committing sin.
we no the hands that fed jonathan to power and we know those hands aint clean.
we also know mr president is strictly doing their bidding and does not have a mind of his own.
we know he's planning to come back 2015 and as such he'll hand a lot of his goons free meal tickets (aka looting)
so far he has suceeded in fixing nothing, neither is he on the path to fixing anything.
forget the statistics churned on paper; unemployment is at all time high and no body is thinking of waking the real sector; we know of people looting the treasury at the speed of light and efcc is dead, u hardly get to hear the name of lamurde in the news, it makes me question govt's justification to sack madam waziri; there is no confidence in the financial sector and foreign direct investments are going down, the roads are more worse; planes are more like flying coffins, we hear the rich now travel to abuja from lagos via london cos they dont trust local flights; i wont start mentioning the issue of insecurity, how can our economic indices be better on paper when almost half the north is shut down; yet to u gej commits no sin, its the doing and undoing of his detractors. well real men dont look for excuses, they solve problems. i am a real man, i'm not sure i can say same of mr president

well, tomorow is almost here, lets wait and see the front pages of dailies tomorow.
what i really dont understand is why public servants find it hard to seperate their offices from their businesses.
this similar reason led to the resignation of nnaji and see what is happening to the power sector now.
as for madam minister, i know she dosent have the antecedents of peeps like barth and i'm expecting nothing honorable from her.
lest i 4get, GEJ and his goons must admit governing this country in the info tech age is not an easy feat.
peeps get to know what they are planning to plan b4 they even plan it
RomanceRe: I Cheated On My Husband And I Plan To Continue by Joey82(m): 6:58pm On May 01, 2013
hey poster,

if u got no regard for ur husband, show the kids some respect.
they'll understand better if u get a divorce.
ur happiness will only be short lived, it cant last.
put urself in ur kids shoes and imagine hw u'll feel.
this is a shameful act and to even think u mentioned Jesus in the whole ish makes me question ur sanity.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Billionaires That Dropped Out Of School by Joey82(m): 10:43am On Apr 29, 2013
apart from the indians, most of the americans developed their ideas from school and found themselves ripe before leaving.
i dont think mark or bill would have been rich today if school didnt help shape their ideas.

PoliticsRe: Tambuwal Blasts Obasanjo On Rule Of Law by Joey82(m): 10:53am On Apr 18, 2013
na wao, its difficult to understand how we argue here on nairaland.
tambuwal was not comparing whose administration was the best, he only spoke about the rule of law.
and is he wrong in his submissions? No!
we all know obj had no respect for legislators and determined who became leaders of the legislative arm thereby usurping their powers. Anybody who justifies the killings in odi and z.biam really lacks knowledge on what the rule of law is all about.
same obj only respected court orders when it favored him.
to some of u tambuwal is one dull president hungry hausa man, but it shouldnt stop him from stating the obvious

PoliticsRe: Buhari Is Boko Haram’s Major Sponsor – Presidency by Joey82(m): 10:12am On Apr 16, 2013
i think peeps like okupe just make unguarded utterances.
with the sophistication of boko haram, i dont think it is possible for a single individual like buhari to be their sponsor.
for all i know, buhari is a broke asss.
the level of sophistication only goes to show its (boko haram) either sponsored by the govt or buy some powerful international influences.
Music/RadioRe: Hip Hop Of Our Generation Is Totally Mad And Too Silly To Be Called Music by Joey82(m): 9:44am On Apr 16, 2013
i always say the only genre of music that has not really grown is hip hop.
i still prefer listening to Pac, biggie, Nas and the oldies.
this new generation is way to commercial.
all the mcs are long gone.

i think omotola was by far more sexy when she was mercy's age.

Music/RadioRe: Omawumi Vs Tiwa Savage, Who Sings Better? by Joey82(m): 2:57pm On Mar 14, 2013
I dont think they are comparable.
Omawunmi is miles ahead; her pitch, her range, oh my she's got the most piercing voice in the current generation of female singers.
plus its only her voice that sells her, tiwa's looks sell her more than her voice.

PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha's Pardon: Jonathan Owes Nobody Apology - Okupe by Joey82(op): 2:39pm On Mar 13, 2013
tomakint: Some people are just fond of crying more than the bereaved, is it not the same Jonathan that more than 80% of Nairalanders have never shown any respect for that I will be wasting my time educating the young ones here to understand why the Presidential pardon is no big deal? I am sure if Fashola has done similar thing, none of those 'clowns' here will raised an eyebrow, where were they all when the likes of Tinubu, Bode George, etc were left off the hook cool
I really dont get what u are trying to say.
yes public office holders loot and go free without prosecution.
y do we have to pardon the ones we managed to prosecute and find guilty.
or are u trying to say the reason y alams was granted pardon is because there are several other peeps who have not been prosecuted?

PoliticsAlamieyeseigha's Pardon: Jonathan Owes Nobody Apology - Okupe by Joey82(op): 10:12am On Mar 13, 2013
President Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed the granting of presidential pardon to a former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, and a few other ex-convicts.

PREMIUM TIMES had broken the strory of the pardon while the meeting was underway Tuesday morning.

We also reported details of the proceedings minutes after the meeting ended.

Presidential spokespersons had gone underground for most of yesterday in what appeared a ploy to dodge media enquiry on the controversial pardon of a man who stole his people blind while governor.

But Mr. Jonathan, speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Doyin Okupe, has now confirmed our report.

He said he has no apology for his action.

Mr. Okupe spoke on Channels TV breakfast show, Sunrise.

“That is an action that has been taken by the National Council of States and I have no apology for that.” Mr. Jonathan said. “We must begin to respect and honour our institutions. I don’t need to defend the action that has been taken.”

When reminded that the action had created the impression that the government was not serious about the war against corruption, Mr. Jonathan said, “It is not all decisions parents take that are palatable for their kids. But with time they will realize that their parents are right.”

He said pardoning Mr. Alamieyeseigha was in order as the former Bayelsa governor had suffered enough.

“A man was deposed. He was hounded, tried and jail. What is wrong with giving pardon to a remorseful sinner?

“How come granting pardon to him has become an aberration? Is it because he is from Bayelsa? Is it from he is from South-South? Is it because he is connected to Mr. President?”

PoliticsRe: APC May Collapse Over Logo Dispute!! - Source by Joey82(m): 9:59pm On Mar 08, 2013
sincerenigerian,

ur topic is misleading. that there is disagreement over a party logo does not mean the party is on the "verge of collapse"
even the leadership that u quoted as ur source was cautious enough to say "may tear merger apart".
its different from saying the party is on the verge of collapse.
FamilyRe: Sweet Things About Your Mom That Make You Smile? by Joey82(m): 4:43pm On Mar 08, 2013
I was in 300L then.
Mum just decided to give her son a surprise treat.
she prepared a cooler full of pounded yam and nice egusi soup with dried fish.
she thought the hostel was one small place and she could easily locate me.
i'd switched off my phone and went for a lecture on second camp.
she arrived and was overwhelmed with the crowd and didnt even know how to start asking.
A good samaritan took her to front of male hostel and she just sat there hoping i'll happen to pass by.
funny thing is after the lecture i 4got to switch on my phone.
after gallivanting i decided to go smack garri and was surprised to see her just sitted and patiently waiting.
i had to invite at least 6 other guys b4 we could dismantle the p. yam.

@poster
Chivalry is long dead and women consider themselves equal to men, so y should i open the door for her.....no time jor.
and women dont like sincerity, u need to be a good liar and very well sandwich the lies btw truths to make a woman's world go round.
above all, in some parts of the world especially where we are, having a car just is enough, every other thing can be overlooked.
this is the brutal truth.

PoliticsRe: Breakdown Of 2013 Budget By Okonjo Iweala by Joey82(m): 4:09pm On Mar 07, 2013
mennn, see money 4.1 trillion naira in federal revenue alone is no small money
too bad we'll still be a poor country after 2013.
i think the amount allocated to capital expenditure is way too small which is a total of 1.2 trillion.
just 29% of expected revenue.
I look 4ward to the day when capital expenditure will take 70%. That's when we'll be sure of genuinely waking up the real sector.
PoliticsRe: Buhari's Speech At Africa Diaspora Conference London by Joey82(m): 1:14pm On Mar 07, 2013
Well, i've read buhari's speech and i've followed the comments down and i must confess the level of nepotism in Nigeria seem beyond cure.
how come some folks are only seeing where he talked down corruption and other national ills.
how come nobody is commending him for castigating SAP, he even mentioned the bully of the IMF on nigeria's economy. it takes courage to say those kinda things even in the uk.
From what i read, buhari focused more on IBB's regime as the turning points for nigeria's woes. he hardly talked about the present administration if not for the mention of the previous elections.
I wonder y the GEJ apologists are hell bent on lambasting buhari's person.
If GEJ was good enough, he'll be the voice representing africa. Sad enough we hardly hear him say anything worth quoting in future references.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Is Barcelona Reign Coming To An End. by Joey82(m): 3:02pm On Feb 27, 2013
I think the squad lacks depth especially in midfield.
u hardly see quality at the bench, same players start almost all games and some of them aint getting any younger (puyol and Xavi)
Guardiola already started resting Xavi little by little before Tito took the reigns and started playing him game in game out.
Look at how puyol was used by di maria and a little known teenage french striker at san siro.
These group of players wont be there forever and yes their reign is gradually coming to an end.
PoliticsRe: States' Public Debt Stock Is N1.8 Trillion by Joey82(m): 9:11am On Feb 22, 2013
its rather surprising that states with so much oil wealth and jumbo federal allocations are the ones borrowing most.
what is Bayelsa doing with all these monies with a small land mass, just eight local govts and a comparably smaller population.
looks to me like the northern states are less greedy.
CareerRe: Best Paid Careers In Nigeria For 2013 by Joey82(m): 4:11pm On Feb 20, 2013
u guys may not understand but sales men are one of the most payed employees in the country.
Ask about the sales men working for fmcg multinationals and telecoms, u'll be surprisd at how much they take home
