PoliticsRe: Should Nigerian Governors' Forum Be Banned Or Disbanded? by Joey82(m): 10:02am On Jun 26, 2013
so who will band or disband it even though it is unconstitutional.
the peeps saddled with the responsibility to handle the NGF situation rode on its back to power.
they're still using it as a tool for their political gains
PoliticsRe: Sanusi, Monetary Policy And Economic Development In Nigeria by Joey82(m): 6:46pm On Jun 16, 2013
I think the entire system will check itself if government can at least block leakages and embark on fiscal prudence.
unfortunately this is not the situation. budget and policy implementation are at best around 30%.
the system accommodates a lot of unplanned spendings with out any recourse to a surplus budget.
for the commercial banks, 1 wonders y they are there in the first place if they cant be of any use to the real sector
PoliticsIn Search Of National Icons; Past And Present. by Joey82(op): 9:58am On Jun 13, 2013
I decided to start this thread because of differing views on the june 12 saga.
A lot of commentators see Abiola as a messiah who ought to be celebrated while others see him as a selfish tyrant who manipulated the polity several times to suit his personal ambitions.
Same differing views crop up at the mention of past politicians/leaders like zik, ojukwu, awolowo, buhari, murtala, obj etc.
My question is aren't there any icons who we can remember stood for patriotism without been partisan, self serving and tribal?
If you any such past leader please share with us exactly what u think.
PoliticsRe: June 12 Annulment: How Has Nigeria Fared? by Joey82(m): 10:05am On Jun 12, 2013
@OP

what kinda question is that?
u asking whether the late mko be referred to as ex president.
when u well know he was never sworn in, na so dem dey become ex president?
between does it matter any longer? isnt it high time we move on as a country instead of whining about a past we cant fix?
a lot of events have contributed to how nigeria has fared since then, a chunk of which does not have any particular bearing to june 12 annulment.
PoliticsRe: Edo State Ministry Of Education On Fire!!! by Joey82(m): 9:29am On Jun 12, 2013

PoliticsRe: Boko-Haram Ranks Second On Global Terror List by Joey82(m): 10:10am On Jun 11, 2013
US and their antics!
placing $7million on shekau's head.
this shekau guy may not be unconnected with the CIA.
the sophistication of his group in a lil space of time begs for too many questions.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa Logo & Illuminati Seeing Eye Are Similar? by Joey82(m): 6:24pm On Jun 10, 2013
is illuminati for real or just some conspiracy?
PoliticsRe: Sani Abacha - 15 Years After by Joey82(m): 2:07pm On Jun 08, 2013
eGuerrilla: Do you have any idea what proportion of the Nation's earnings Abacha stole or what living conditions were like under his regime? Of course not!

I sense you are treating this issue with levity because you are a poor student of history.
for a lay man on the street, the difference is clear.
i remember 3cups of garri sold for 5 naira then, how much is a cup of garri now.
pump price of pms remained at 11 naira, infact those marketers who didnt want to comply with the price regime were forced to, hw much is the pump price of pms now.
the naira was stable at 71 to a dollar through out his 5year reign, hw much is naira now to a dollar.
with all the sanctions imposed on nigeria during his time, he managed to rule without borrowing a cent from no westerner, hw much debt have we incured just in the last 2years and hw well have we been able to use the monies borrowed.
Abacha was a patriotic leader and it was through and through.
the most unfortunate thing about nigerian politics is it is only those who do not even wish to become democratic leaders that end up being. people who have wanted it badly never get there.
i pray someday soon, we will get a well prepared democratic leader so he wont be short of ideas and discernment 1s he/she gets there
PoliticsRe: Sanusi, His CBN Mistress And Their Escapades - Premium Times by Joey82(m): 1:15pm On Jun 02, 2013
so who is bringing up this diversionary tactic.
if they want to loot us dry or do one big wrong, they cook up stories to divert our attention so we can go discuss while they carry out their evil plots.
i am most surprised that sincere nigerian is in tune with this farce when sanusi himself has made it clear he wont be contesting any presidential elections.
the poster even went as far as writing down things said by mouth and not just by sms.
haba peeps, hw dirty can u guys get to achieve ur selfish ambitions.
if sls was this dirty, it wouldnt be coming out now, we shoulda since known.
he's got too many enemies to have escaped all these while.

i also think she's not photogenic.

Music/RadioRe: 2face’s African Queen Among Africa’s Most Famous Anthems by Joey82(m): 3:03pm On May 28, 2013
I'm surprised Brenda Fassie's vuli ndela does not make the list.
that song is by far an anthem compared to fuse's and chaka chaka's songs.
PoliticsRe: PDP Suspends Governor Rotimi Amaechi by Joey82(m): 1:10pm On May 27, 2013
well, it wont stop him from being chairman of NGF abi?
since the amaechi guy refused to join the opposition all on his own, its high time the pdp force his joining.
more like sacrificing the bishop for a pawn on the chessboard.
wrong move pdp.

CelebritiesRe: Damilola Adegbite Poses Half Unclad On Her Birthday by Joey82(m): 10:34am On May 20, 2013
Emmadani: All dis pipo complaining she is posing half na:ked, watin concern una?But seriously y are u so pissed about dis...Some galz hr criticizin d photo will do worst than her if they whr in her shoes.
peeps are complaining becos of the hypocrisy inherent in the mods.
if its nadia buari in bikini, its allowed and it makes the front page.
its ok for miss adegbite to make it to the front page even with an admittedly suggestive pose.
why should this kinda pix make the fp when u are not even allowed to spell the word na.ked or t.its or c.ock on nairaland.
if this site is going to be an adult site, then let it be, if not we have to follow the rules through and through and allow every one their freedom to post what they want to.
and yes, i'm talking to seun and the mods.
PoliticsRe: Reuben Abati - Exclusive Interview by Joey82(m): 5:04pm On May 19, 2013
againstGEJ: Point out the lie he told in the whole interview and tell us your own side of it.
power sector has not witnessed any significant improvement. the improvement is been exaggerated.
i have not seen any significant boost in supply of agricultural inputs, last time i checked, fertilizers is still a serious issue with regards to availability and affordability, i cant remember the last time i saw a tractor or heard of it from my village, farming is still crude and tedious.
and to say the government has been blackmailed as it regards corruption is rather laughable since government ends up attacking individuals that level allegations against it instead of tackling and addressing the issues raised
RomanceRe: Why Is A Typical Nigerian So Pessimistic About True Love? by Joey82(m): 2:08pm On May 15, 2013
@OP

you didnt mention some things i woulda liked to know b4 commenting
does the guy in question know u are older than him and by how many years?
is he thinking of settling down soon as u are thinking?
fact is sometimes when u are madly in love u ignore all the danger signs.
just be careful sha.
FamilyRe: Broken & Dejected: Found Out Wife Is Having An Affair With A Family Friend. by Joey82(m): 3:32pm On May 09, 2013
@OP
your situation is a very tight one.
it is one thing for your wife to cheat; it is another thing to even cheat with your friend.
if it were someone you hardly know, it will be easier for u to move on, i can imagine this friend of yours even call u 'ore'.
tight as the situation is, for me the solution logic is simple. if i were in your shoes:
i will certainly divorce that woman if I have never cheated on her ( i live in a mud house, i can throw stones)
i will try to reconcile if i know i'm guilty of cheating ( i live in a glass house, i cannot throw stones)
for those of you finding it difficult to hear the 'd' word on this forum, even the bible supports divorce in situations of adultery. we dont even know for sure whether the poster is christian.
i must confess situations like this makes marriage scare the hell outta me.
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's Score Card by Joey82(m): 8:36pm On May 07, 2013
i laugh at peeps who think 2015 will be the judge.
knowing fully well how elections in nigeria can be a sham.
whether gej does well or not does not have any direct bearing to 2015.
truth is my vote and yours does not count, if it did the government would at least be thinking of fixing the power sector so they can use that as a reference point for more good things to come.
as it is, mr president is not bothered, he knows how much to share to the governors and they will each deliver their states. shaking ma big bald head

RomanceRe: 20 Signs He Is Definitely A Player by Joey82(m): 12:56pm On May 07, 2013
@op
funny thing is ladies prefer it if u do all these things u mentioned.
a part of them (ladies) innately want competition.
they think u are dull when u all about just them.
they want other ladies to also want what they have so they can be sure of the value.
that's y to get a good girl, u gotta be a player.

he's not the first person with a big bald head.
me thinks it even makes him cute.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Has No Reason To Be Poor — EU by Joey82(m): 10:41am On May 02, 2013
EU's hypocrisy really sucks!
For a fact, our leaders loot monies and the monies do not reside in Nigeria. these monies are smuggled to europe and they keep using it to develop their own land.
it will be almost impossible to loot without the collaboration of western powers.
PoliticsRe: What Are The "Sins" Of President Jonathan? by Joey82(m): 11:16pm On May 01, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: "forget the statistics churned on paper; unemployment is atall time high and no body is thinking of waking the real sector"

But when those statistics are in the negative, people like you embrace them. Hypocrite!

Why not go gather your own statistics so we can see instead imagining things.

Look, this is democracy and the era when free money was distributed in the north by military dictators is over.
are these the only 2 points u saw in my post? why did u dodge the rest?
and who's talking about distributing money to the north, arrest the insecurity situation there, that's what i'm talking about.
you are a more damned hypocrite for refusing to accept constructive criticism.
for u, anything ur master (gwj) does is right and we all should jsut clap for him
