aduboy: If you are part of the system then you should tell me if any Chief has done better than Ihejerika in recent times. Sincerely the write up is a hoax, there is no tension to with respect to this write up. Officers may grumble due to high corruption among the politicians but not because of promotions and postings of some particular officers that deserve it, there ethnicity not withstanding.we are talking loyalty here. in the army, most senior officers are corrupt, but they understand their game when it comes to issues of satisfying their subordinates. yes these seniors pocket lots of money but they know how not to toy with promotions and rewards and in the end subordinates are satisfied not really because the COAS did so well but because he gave them their due. in the Nigeian army, seniority counts a lot more than brilliance ( whether it is right or wrong). I understand that the igbos have to play the catch up and there couldnt have been any time better than now my contention is it is has to be gradual not in 1 fell swoop |
Ozichim: I think I understand what U mean, But U see, whoever start anything caos in this country will difintly regrete it. Becouse the country is now beyound any man's manipulation. the time has passed when some group of people will ill-inform and manipulate the public for his selfish reason! such fellow will difintly be consumed.u seem not to understand what is brewing. that article at op was not really meant for public consumption but for the advent of info tech, it got out. these military guys live by the gun and they need not manipulate the public to feel right, the question we should be asking ourselves is what backing does ihejirika have in the army to contain any kind of mutiny. the military is still over populated with northern and western elements. its not just abt promoting undeserved officers to more senior ranks. its abt also recruiting well enof to have the backing. in the end loyalty is what is more important and he seem to be loosing it |
u guyz supporting ihejirika do not seem to understand how the military operates. the military is not a civil ministry so quit the comparisms. there is nothing as important to a soldier as loyalty. when high ranking officers, generals for that matter start questioning the authenticity of a leaders action, then there is problem. and the report imho is not biased especially giving the reasons as stated by the report. COAS can be biased in his promotions but he's got to apply diplomacy and he should also know that it will take time for igbo officers to catch up with their northern and western counterparts since the numbers of the later is by far higher in the rankings. i just pray mutiny isnt brewing already |
aurenflani: The Sheikh would have answered him and say: She is created by Allah, The One and Only. Who never begat nor Was begotten. Who is not comparable to anyone and anything. So she DOES NOT Have The Right to marry someone who worships another creature instead of Allah.aha! so the male folks that have the right to marry from anywhere are not created by Allah? and are allowed to marry someone who worships another creature? its double standard already. as to ur other reason, i've been to ur so called believers village and last time i checked, ur 'believers' are still locking up their wives indoors. y not go and liberate them first b4 moving back to the city where u dwell. |
DJDOLA: why do christain ladies dress indecent 2 church?seriously? is that ur answer to the questions raised? if u got no answers for me why not just shut the hell up. |
well y didnt the non muslim asked the sheikh y muslim ladies are forbidden to marry from another religion while their male folks are permitted to marry from anywhere? y didnt he also ask y most of the married females are kept indoors (even the educated females) and prevented from coming out to partake in making the world a better place by been productive to the economy? |
are they triplets? |
gosh!!!!!!!!!! they keep getting more skinny everyday. they all look malnourished.... |
it was maku, now okupe, the next attack will come from Abati. This govt is way to desperate to defend itself and it does so without facts. Well, since OBJ and Soludo are still alive, it will be good if they both come out to clear the air as to who is actually right. Who knows, maybe Oby used the FOI act to source for her information, that's y she's confident enof to call for a debate. IMOH let the debate be btw NOI and Oby. |
is the op a professional doctor? if not y isnt there any source to the information. how come a sourceless info like this made it to the front page |
my own governor is known as the pig rearing governor. SMH! of all things on earth to do, shey na pig we go dey chop? |
I know this issue has been over flogged here but i still need some clarity. Almost every month, i have people with very pressing, genuine problems begging my attention. And at the end of each month i try to scrutinize and choose among these people which to help and donate my 10% to them its not that i dont offer assistance to peeps aside this donation and i make sure the 10% does not go to any member of my family. In any month that there isnt any genuine request for help, i take my 10% to the church. I just want us share ideas so I can learn if what i'm doing is right or must we take our tithes to church? |
well, we keep complaining of the rot in the education sector, we keep complaining about how students are failing ssce at an alarming rate, yet the number of 1st class graduates in our institutions keep increasing exponentially. is it that these students are now working harder/brighter than the previous generations, or is it just an unhealthy competition among schools to make their products more marketable especially with the advent of private unis. |
I just hope he wont set up another committee sha cos that's his usual next step. |
HAH: Mali situation is a very delicate case, this war may last longer than thought because of the sophistication of the rebel and I doubt if the french can handle it.HAH are u serious at all. u want of give a lecture here and u are worried about your security. I thought the beauty of this forum is that it keeps u ananymos. so what are u afraid of? |
yep, poverty is reducing on paper. but the indices do not translate to real life situation. what with more people running outta jobs and the real sector still comatose. this world bank guy'd better do proper research |
[quote author=Toppié2]Chris brown~ don't judge me beyonce~ broken-hearted girl. dont judge me - chris brown |
IMO, it is not really about who rules this country especially when it comes to the issue of tackling corruption. The biggest problem the polity has now is the national assembly and the governors forum. It wont be easy for anybody to fight corruption with those gluttons called honorables still sitting in that house. The house of assembly that is supposed to check the executive is way too corrupt and lacks the moral standing to question mr president, all they wait for is a share of the pie. The governors forum is the single most unified and powerful force in this country. They decide who becomes councilor, LG chairman, commissioner, they appoint people that will become ministers at the federal level, they decide who becomes house of assembly memebers. These governors are way powerful and sadly they are mostly rogues and too bad they decide who becomes president since they each have to deliver their states. This is how nigerian politics work and it looks like there are no options in the mean time. If jonathan pumps money to these governors like he did during the previous elections, be sure he's gonna win. |
Opoki: I can only trust a female claim in this forum cos of my personal crush experience.bros, crush is just some mere romantic attraction, nothing more. sex is not involved ok? |
I'm still wondering in what language she taught those kids at stella maries. and to say her husband loved her because she was bright and smart? what then happened to her? |
Oshionhole may be doing a good job and i like him as aperson but if for any circumstance he is found guilty of forging his certs, he should be prosecuted and jailed to serve as deterrent to other politicians intending to do same. |
and where is sincere nigerian when u need him may be he's still loading his bullets ready to launch attacks. me thinks Nigeria has been mortgaged for at least the next 100years. the debt profile is alarming, the cost of servicing, the interests? God save us. |
at least Pique does not deserve to be there, he had nothing to show through out last season. hw abt chellini, kompany, pepe and hummels? these guyz were far better. even sergio ramos was not consistent in that position last season as he was sometimes drafted to play at right back. as for dani alves, lahm was/is by far better in that right back position and i do not think marcelo did better than cole on the left back. even bale deserves to displace one of those spanish midfielders, so is pirlo and neymar. |
its even more surprising that he is a rapper. where is his street cred? the rap world has gone way soft, these guys are supposed to be tough. |
if that lady na meat every body go struggle to eat the nose. |
i'm amazed at the kinda comments pouring in here. lots of folks talking as if we ever have elections in nigeria. peeps saying GEJ still has time to proove himself. As far as naija is concerned, if mr president decides to contest come 2015, he;s gonna win. lest i 4get, ur vote dosnt count, what really counts is how well you rig and it isnt changing in 2015 as far as GEJ is contesting. smh |
@Obadiah, A lot is read/said about Esther out there maybe because their story is a bit personal and men of God use these as stories to inspire their congregations. as for Nahum he dwelt so much at first on the virtues of God and later on the destruction of Nineveh. Maybe if his book had a personal story, it will be quoted more often. |
@ATMC, pls do, u,ll find it worth while. @Mollie. i'v not gotten to that verse u quoted |
@ATMC, I just started reading it today and found its interesting afterall. it talks so much about the virtues of God, lots of lessons there in. that's y i wonder y i'v never heard/seen any preacher mention it. |
