Politics › Re: Challenges Of Keeping Onitsha Clean by joeyfire(m): 4:31pm On Jun 14, 2011
@ekt bear - Shame dey catch me. My beloved state has been bedeviled by some of the most despicable and incompetent governors in history. From mbadinuju to this obi character. to be honest i really doubt at times that he came from the private sector. All he does is to try and ape fashola without even considering the ways to implement the policies. When Ngige was in charge, we know how onitsha cleaned out in almost no time. He employed direct labour to do everything from road construction to waste disposal and it worked!
True.

In Anambra, I heard that people find it easier to go behind the house to poopoo on the floor.

It's the lack of proper hygiene and proper disposal unit.
@ileke idi - You lie like a five year old. if you werent a little girl i'd say something very rude. but obviously you dont know what you are doing

Yes o ! I've been wondering where that guy is. I dont think he's a tribalist. Never seen any post where he singles out a particular tribe to insult. he's just a funny guy. Very intelligent too.

Its a known fact that an average Northerner will prefer to be a Yoruba man than an Igbo man! Guys, insult Tinubu and the SWall you want BUT NEVER INSULT AWO!!!
Guy, i cant by any stretch of the imagination fathom why u had to sneak igbos into this. Is it primordial or something. Its a pathetic waste of intellect when bigotry overrides common sense. Or are u trying to provoke a reaction that will derail and dumb down this thread?

The battle scene in 13th warrior where banderas character sees the body of an ''eater of the dead'' and repeats to himself 'its a man' as he starts hacking them down in a frenzy.
Politics › Re: Should Ojukwu Apologise For The Civil War? by joeyfire(m): 7:33am On Jun 06, 2011
Ojukwu made a mistake regarding biafra's level of preparedness and the timing of the commencement of hostilities. With the benefit of hingdsight we now know it may have been better to have kept gowon at the conference table a little longer. That doesnt mean he's guilty for entering the war. Feelings were high after the massacres in the north, I can guarantee he would have been shot by his aides if he hadnt declared biafra
Politics › Re: ACN Calls For National Security Summit, Bombings Risk Scaring Away Investors-ACN by joeyfire(m): 7:31pm On Jun 01, 2011
Now thats the beauty of opposition. GEJ should grow some cojones for crying out loud and stand up to the p.r.i.c.k.s behind the chaos. I was starting to wonder if it wasnt obvious that nigeria was looking more and more like iraq. Up ACN for speaking out
Politics › Re: Some Sensible Ideas On How To Solve The Boko Haram Problem by joeyfire(m): 7:26am On Jun 01, 2011
The boko haram group is a well organised and funded group. At times the precision and planning of their hits makes it clear that there are military minds with knowledge of how to foment insurgency who are pulling the strings of the almajiris. I'm sure we havent forgotten the ammo and 100,000 or so camouflage uniforms intercepted by the sss in the build up to the election. To tackle these guys , find out where money for the ak47's and bombs is coming from and flood the flashpoint cities with undercover operatives. Also the armed forces need to keep tabs on their ex personnel because the matter serious no be small
Politics › Re: Matters Arising by joeyfire(m): 6:48pm On May 31, 2011
Nice one jarus. Its about time. I was starting to wonder if no one was in charge anymore. The tribal slurs, name calling and subtle references to sectarian violence is disturbing to say the least. In some recent post showed to me by a friend in the security services, two guys were talking about how to get in touch to purchase an ak47!! I think a lot of responsibility comes with administering a site like this. After all its naija's biggest online community

Politics › Re: Time For Biafra? by joeyfire(m): 11:37am On May 26, 2011
@OP - As romantic as the idea sounds, we are not ready for an independent state. Firstly our leaders are an apology and will only put us to even more shame and chaos that we think we are suffering.

Biafra failed the first time because the people in charge of it were not capable of running a bus service how much more a new state. The great minds and people of quality were suppressed and brushed aside, many branded ''saboteurs'' and killed for being critics of ojukwu's flawed policies. That set of opportunists who found themselves in charge are the ohaneze clowns of today and we know what they have done to our collective heritage.

Till we get genuine leadership i dont think its possible or advisable
