This is really sad. I doubt if this country can work if something as simple as this is spun into a tribal issue. Pity
Politics › Re: Soldiers Curtailed My Movements To Lead A Protest - Femi Falana by joeyfire(m): 8:47am On Jan 17, 2012
@ op- kindly change the misleading title of this topic. Falana did not threaten anybody. The man related his account and I could not find any faults in his statement
Politics › Re: Soldiers Shoot To Disperse 'occupy' Protesters In Lagos by joeyfire(m): 5:08pm On Jan 16, 2012
How did this man and his party sucker us into voting him into the office of president and (C in C) Cassava in Chief. Shame on nigerians
Politics › Re: OPC Supported Obj Like Asari Supports GEJ by joeyfire(m): 6:39am On Jan 16, 2012
@ gists - bless u for that. I am an igbo man and I don't know how this issue became an ethnic matter. I was part of the protests (ok I just attended) and there were ppl there from every ethnc group. If nigerians fall for the same tribal card every time then it means the problem is very very serious.

Beaf is one funny, smart guy. I don't like what he represents but he has managed to contribute to this forum with intellgence and wit, instead of the bigotry and foul insults that so many on this site use on a regular basis

Politics › Re: Why Is Eastern Nigeria Silent On Fuel Subsidy Removal? by joeyfire(m): 2:32pm On Jan 13, 2012
@topic - I was wondering the same thing. The truth is that people who live in the east do not feel d se is part of nigeria, that's my honest opinion. The east is frightfully devoid of the basic infrastructure that the FG is supposed to provide. Fuel prices have been at least N50 above the prevailing price in other places. That mindset is then combined with manipulation by some of our kinsmen who are sold and captured for GEJ. You now see where its going
Politics › Re: This Will Only Lead To War by joeyfire(m): 2:25pm On Jan 03, 2012
@OP - no be tribal matter. if the so called removal of subsidy was in favour of the easterners and co, fuel would not be going for 150 naira per litre in my state - anambra. My peeps are updating me regularly and as at this morning, transport fares have increased 150% all over my state. same for food stuff and other services.

GEJ don fall our hand, accept it
Politics › Re: Chaos looms - Buhari by joeyfire(m): 5:09pm On Dec 30, 2011
I dont need Buhari to tell me that chaos is looming. The whole country seems to be unravelling by the day and this government is beyond lameduck. We are being ruled by a timid lecturer forced into power by old devils and surrounded by rats squeaking and stealing with all their might. I dont think any government in history has had so many thieves, incompetent ppl and ''quota babies''. I challenge anybody to show me any military regime that was uneffective and clueless as this administration.

In spite of everything we have been hearing the same old story - ''we know the sponsors of boko haram'', ''we will make power outtages a thing of the past'' etc and for the first time ever nigerians are against the wall.

May God save us all

But really. All this talk of Goodluck needing to tread softly, is the man too puccy to fire his security chiefs, even if to just show a little cojones and fire everyone for not averting the xmas bombings.

@ one naira - I beg to disagree I didn't diss the north and praise yorubas. My point is yorubaland boasts a higher level literacy and exposure among muslims than those u find up north. I stand to be corrected though.

@ londoner - u dey mind them. A fulani friend of mine almost got a black eye when he told me that we southerners conduct ourselves like monkeys and that's why they have always been our bosses while we work for them and that even the poorest northerner looks down on a well to do southerner.

Politics › Re: To My Boko Haram And Northern Brothers, Let Us Learn From The Yoruba. by joeyfire(m): 7:33am On Dec 27, 2011
Yoruba Muslims were very fortunate to have been spared the wholesale ignorance of their counterparts in the north. The likes of sapara williams, Elias and millions like them were educated with the highest standards of western education. They came back and became leaders to be looked up to.

I am a bit worried about the muslims in osun and oyo state though, they seem to be isolated from civlisation and in effect  becoming like their brothers up north
Politics › Re: To My Boko Haram And Northern Brothers, Let Us Learn From The Yoruba. by joeyfire(m): 6:41am On Dec 27, 2011
The difference between the north and the yorubaland is simple - yorubas are educated\exposed to the world while most northerners are not they are simply waiting to be led like sheep by some perverted paedophile of an imam or emir. To those saying that yorubas are not serious muslims, think again.
Politics › Re: No To Igbo President 2015: Alhaji Tanko Yakasai by joeyfire(m): 10:46am On Dec 26, 2011
Alhaji Yakassai is talking as if this is 1979.The clock is ticking and we should stop deceiving ourselves that this country is a nation. Rather we igbos should continue strategic planning towards the very very imminent separation and burial of the nigerian experiment.

There is a lot of work being done by the private sector in this regard but our governors havent really taken in how close it is. By 2015 we should at least have a working plan in place for what our political structure should look like. The yoruba nation has already achieved about 70% of their planning for the same. Igbo presidency is NOT what we should be talking about.

Meanwhile na our diaspora brothers are chilling abroad talking tough as if their fart fit even affect mosquito.to me they are no better than the failed leadership that plagued this country. Always leaving the issues that matter and chasing the chaff in the form of better or worse tribe, favourite political party etc.

The answer is a no brainer. APGA is an opposition party so they have the right to comment on the toll gate fiasco
