Emmm I was talking about some 5 years ago that I bought the Toshiba. The machine was just a piece of crap. Nit well put together and was all falling apart. Anyway, I am on the linux train and have been for some time now. |
The first laptop I bought was a Toshiba. That was while I was in NIgeria. It was brand new and from day 1 I saw grief. It came with Win ME and not until I installed windows 2000 and later win XP on it b4 I had any sanity. That said, I dont know anyone who has used one without grumbling about it. Maybe you are lucky or maybe am the unlucky one? Who knows. All I know is that even the Dell and IBM that I bought as used, have been much better for me than the Toshiba ever was. And going forward, its either an IBM thinkpad or nothing. Of course right now, I cant justify over a thousand ££ on a laptop so I have to buy used. |
'Peace of the continent' while your own people are dying from hunger, insecurity, fuel shortage, NEPA, water, and the list goes on and on. |
Any body thinking the japanese know anything about car manufacturing should try a German car, precisely a Bimmer. I have used a honda, toyota and a Bimmer so I should know what am talking about. |
into what? There are several ways of masking your IP on the net that I know albeit most of them work with windows and I dont know any linux way. Basically how they work is to channel your traffic thru some proxy servers so when your 'IP' is recorded, it cant be traced back to you. Some even go so far as changing every few seconds so you are virtually untraceable. @Niggy, am staying off the network printer now, I know am going to install 2005-03 pretty soon and when I do that, I might have to redo it all over. Thanks |
ABT being what more info please |
The lady is a virgin so how can she comment on wheather 5 rounds is too little or too much?? |
When I was in Naija, I used kazaalite so much that kazaalite imself fear. But here, all the need to trace you is your ISP so if I need any music now, I just go to ebay or wait for stores to do sales |
Record the conversation...girl you been watching too much 007. |
Limewire is wonderful, but I stopped downloading music using either it or kazaa, dont want the police knocking down my door all in the name of copyright infringement. |
SO eating at buka is equivalent to being embarrased in public? |
Incest is sleeping among blood relatives. In this case, the step mum is not in any way related to him. So I dont count it as incest. Having said that, I still do not support sleeping with another man's wife. |
Pinky:Each night is too much, after all my name is not Oliver Twist asking for more. Four or five times a week is enough. |
Thunderbird makes a great email client though ![]() Opera just never really grabbed me, besides it's not free (well legally )
I dont like Thinderbird cos it doesnt leave my mails on the server. Since I sometimes access my mails from two different computers I need this funtionality. I currently use Evolution http://www.gnome.org/projects/evolution/ and Opera is free. Thats why it has ads on it. If you want to, you can buy it, but I hardly notice the ads anymore |
There had always been a google toolbar extension that was created by hackers. The beauty of open source. I am now using the Firefox Deer park. Why oh why didnt it keep my bookmarks Good thing, I have just a few there. |
What I used to think b4 using an IBM thinkpad. The engineering and attention to detail is not a joke. Guess thats why they cost an arm and head when you buy them new. |
Sometimes, I cant believe what you guys say. Tell his popsie ke And what if the woman has him under a spell? Abeg, tact and delicacy are called for in this situation. First off, you need all your charms whenever you are going to turn a woman down. Yes you can turn her down without making her feel bad. If I were you, I'd just continue to fool around and pretend as if I dont understand what she is talking about. If you are always at home alone with her, find an excuse not to be staying alone at home with her so much. Keep your distance. DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TELLING ANYBODY..she would deny it and since you dont have any hard evidence, its your word agains hers. Your dad would take her words. You better believe that.Dont know how much you understand women's psyche, if you do, it is a very easy thing to string her along till you get what you want from your dad. This is no time for any drastic steps. If you dont understand women, then my friend, you need to learn VERY QUICKLY. It is not easy turning a woman down and to turn her down in such a way that she wont hate you? Now that is an art form and that EXACTLY is what you need to do here. Good luck to you. But dont and I repeat, dont sleep with her. Not cos of the repercusions or any useless taboos, which I dont believe in, but cos, what comes around goes around. THere are more than enough single girls to go around, so why hit a married woman? SHe is somebody elses "property" in this case your dad, so steer clear. If I may ask, what about your mum? |
@ Fatiaiiyo, nice pictures. You took them on a campus right? Reminds me of the postures we used to nack back in school days. |
My advice, get an IBM or a Dell. Steer clear of Toshiba. |
Truth of the matter being that by integrating IE so much with windows, M$ was able to win the browser war, but also created problems for itself. Its not so easy to remove IE from the inherent security issues that activeX controls create. WHich is one of the reasons, why using a M$ mail client, outlook or outlook express opens you to so much malicious stuff. I wouldnt even dream of using IE for such sensitive stuff as e-commerce or online banking. WHo knows what kinda loop hole is being exploited at the moment? M$ plugs one hole, the hackers open up 10 more. Its a losing battle if you ask me. One reason I dont like FF so much is that it doesnt allow me to continue from where I was. In Opera, if I have gazillion tabs open, If I shut it, when I restart, it gives me the gazillion tabs back. I do like the web developer extensions in FF though. DLing the deer park now to give it a run |
Welcome to the best kept secret on the Internet. I have been using Opera right from the first time it was launched. Call me a rebel, but I always like using alternative stuff. I never got used to IE, then the fact that am a power browser, and it leaves donkey pages on my desktop, made me look for alternatives: Opera, Avantbrowser, Netscape, etc. Opera is the fastest, and also the smallest to install. To be honest, I never really use the mouse gestures. What I love most is that it stores all my passwords for all account names and with the magic wand, presto, it logs me in. Long before Firefox, Opera was the same on all platforms MacOS, Linux, 'Winbloze' Thank you for spreading the word. Now I can't keep Opera to myself. And did I mention that it has an in-built mail client? @Hidden_hunter: when I freshly install Opera, I just close the side bars. This makes it better. |
hey niggy, sorry it took me some time. I have been sleeping for the past 12 hours or so. I havent tried your steps yet, but I also came accross this on the kanotix forums. http://www.catb.org/~esr/writings/cups-horror.html Am just waking up and still groggy, I think I'd go to bed and try out your steps later. Cheers |
