Nigerian police and army, checkpoints should be introduced nationwide, especially in major roads and exit points of states and LGAs.

Check nairaland and twitter, there is a particular group of people, always against the police, army and security apparatus, and statistics have shown that this group are the number one criminals in Nigeria.

Do not play into the hands of criminals online, they want to kidnap you, loot from you and kill you, do not be a fool, support the Nigerian police and army, give them information, they are the only fighting force fighting for you. Give information to police and army, you can give them information via social media and in their information boxes. Security is everybody's business.

Be aware, don't play into the hands of the criminals online.

Remember a lot of people feed and depends on proceeds from crime, lots of them are on nairaland and twitter, they don't like checkpoint, they hate police and army, because crime is how they survive. By their comments you shall know them.

It's better to be delayed in a checkpoint than to be kidnapped...lots of bandits and kidnappers associates in nairaland and twitter, they are the ones maligning the police, and the ones against checkpoints, they want the road to be free, so their kidnapper brothers and associates kidnap, kill and loot successfully.

Nigerians there are terrorists and kidnappers in nairaland, do not be deceived, do not play into their hands, support the police, army and support checkpoints across all states, entry and exit points of all states in Nigeria.

Due to incessant kidnapping and since it seems terrorists and bandits/kidnappers are moving freely with weapons around Nigeria, it is necessary for the police and army to place stop and search checkpoints across the nation.

This checkpoint should be to check cars to ensure kidnapped victims are not being moved, and to check for guns and weapons.

Critical times calls for critical measures. Terrorists and bandits with their foreign and local sponsors have declared war on Nigeria.

Senate must pass a bill and enact death penalty for kidnappers, bandits/terrorists, and any Governor who refused to sign death warrants is an enemy of the nation and people and should be impeached.

Nigerian politicians are worse than yahoo scammers.

Over the weekend a boy was caught as kingpin of kidnappers in Abuja and the news made good headlines for some set of people. All i am doing is pointing out he fact that the Security of lives should be intentional and you are talking trash about foot soldiers. You even said the word "foot soldiers" like 15 times as if you just learnt it. Bro the man and his daughters that were kidnapped and released gave his own account and he said the kidnappers spoke yoruba and hausa/fulani. He knew this because he communicated with them and begged foe their release.

For that to happen the security outfit should be intentional in wanting to pull down the syndicate. Its an organised crime and alot of politicians in the north play a big role in this. Go and read your history you will see that Fulani use that as thier source of income.. Who kidnapped and sold Bishop Ajayi Crowther to slavery? Both terrorists and kidnappers have sponsors, the sponsors own majority of the ill gotten proceeds. Once they catch them alive its not long until they bail them out. A relation of mine is a Police officer and they caught some fulani kidnappers, it wasn't up to three hours when one 'Big man' called and told them nothing should happen to that kidnapper or all of them at the command will risk losing their job. They transferred the kidnapper to force hq and from there dem no hear the guy matter again.

Sponsors or not, kill the foot soldiers who are caught, if sponsors are caught, kill them too...am saying kill them all.

I have thought about this as well. Like you said religion has made mankind docile to a large extent. Many Governors or Presidents are avoiding blood in their hands. In their mind, they don't want wahala. God knows if I were the Governor of my state, Kidnappers or Bandits Terrorists or even one chance operator's will be executed immediately. Once the court pronounces the sentence, I sign their death warrant the next day. Infact e go dey my priority for diary.

Civil societies, labor union and all activists must organize protest against the government, for failing to take drastic actions to reduce the insecurity in Nigeria...the Senate must sign death sentence for kidnappers and terrorists into law...if Nigeria fails to do this, most of our jobless youths will go into kidnapping because it seems easy, and the punishment is mild.

When people declare war against you, you declare against them, why is Nigeria so weak, why are we so docile...is it religion that makes us so dumb and docile?

Jobs are being lost by individuals, small and medium enterprises are collapsing, companies are closing downs due to high operational costs and you're claiming that government is saving money. For who and for what?

Exactly. Tinubu must know that it makes no sense if FG saves money, and Nigerians are languishing in poverty. The job of federal government is to reduce cost of living, so Nigerians can have extra income after buying necessities, to save, invest, with it's attendant multiplier effect. The idea of economics is wealth creation, mobilization and spread... government saving while the economy shrinks, and people languishing makes no sense. The saved money will only end up in the hands of unscrupulous government officials, who will lavish it, on foreign made goods, with no impact on local economy. We are saving to make the West rich, saving for Europe, America, Germany, who produces all the expensive luxury items these government officials buy, just to pose for people they steal from.

Poor man needs money to buy garri, rice, buy local things to survive, I say Nigerian economy benefits more, when there is residual income in the hands of the people, after paying for fuel, food, transportation, clothing, shelter... government is killing the economy and nation because the basic necessities are taking all the income the majority of Nigerians make, with no extra for savings and investment.

We should think about local investment too, because it forms the bulk of investment that sustains Nigeria and Nigerians.

Subsidy was not bad, the bad part was the corruption in the fuel subsidy, which a smart government can avoid... nations with smart leaders are subsidizing for their people through smart cards and innovative ways, so the citizens are the ones who enjoys the subsidies...it's a shame we make the worst of us lead us, these politicians dont want to engage thinkers, it's all about politics for them. Imagine the caliber of people being appointed by this present government...

How is the savings made from saved subsidy payments affecting or benefiting Nigerians?

The people are languishing in poverty and criminal politicians are looting with over bloated budget and inflated costs for projects.
