Then the record before the last was 126 bridesmaids.

0monnak0da: I No I am not accepting. Silence does not equate acquiescence I am interested in the methodology You are doing exactly what you complain about Manufacturing your own facts
The assertion you made about temperature ever recorded requires substantiation. A source.
At best we can say it is unknown or doubtful.
But to say temperature in Nigeria never reaches 4 degrees is such a sweeping statement to make . You must have some basis for that claim I don't seem to understand you. Are you not the one saying the weather in Nigeria falls that low. And now you are saying i should show you evidences it doesn't. It's just like me saying HIV doesn't have a cure in Nigeria. And you are saying i should show you proof that states there is no cure for HIV in Nigeria. |

So someone that doesn't own a thermometer will just quote a temperature and you accept. I agree the weather dropped across the country but not to those temperatures people are speculating. Tell them to show you proof. Like i said i can just sit in my house and speculate that the temperature in Abuja was as low as 1 degrees today. Will you just accept my word of mouth. |

Nowenuse: That forecast for Pankshin is not correct. See one thing, weather forecasts normally do not take winds into consideration hence are known not to be precise. If a place is Windy, it makes the temperature lower and Pankshin is very windy and so foggy that people close to each other do not see themselves. Well, I am very sure you have never experienced the weather first hand in all these places, if not you will not even argue about it. You can see that other people commenting from the first page have been saying the same thing about Mangu.
Any weather forecast claiming that Jos is colder than Pankshin or Mangu cannot be taken seriously. This is something that every single Plateau indigene or citizen will confirm to you.
The highest point on the Plateau is in Kuru town and that place is naturally supposed to be colder. It is very windy too. I just googled and it's showing same temperature with Jos, that is actually impossible in the real sense.
Point of correction, the lowest temperature ever recorded in Nigeria was 2°C in Yobe state, Google it. ....While the lowest in Jos was 3°C, I think sometime in the 80s...There are tales of that period and how so many of the newborn infants did not survive that year... I am from this place and was given firsthand info by my parents who experienced it. like I said earlier, nowhere in Nigeria Gets as cold as 4°C, you measure temperatures with thermometers and not speculation, a lot of people just speculate just because the weather dropped. So if you say the forecast for Pankshin ain't correct can you kindly give us the correct forecast for Pankshin, in pictures, not speculation. I can sit down in my house and just say the weather for Warri today is 3°C but that is just speculation |

Nowenuse: Wrong! Jos & Kano went as low as 7°C.... Other rural parts of Plateau which are usually colder than Jos, ike Pankshin should have gotten to like 4°C.
Canadians usually have insulated houses and room warmers in their houses, Cars, Buses, Offices, Schools and Hospitals. ....We in Jos have nothing! No where in Nigeria went as low as 4°C. Pankshin shares similar weather with Jos. Below are both towns current weather conditions.

Everything is just so wrong in Nigeria.
Everyone behaves like cave men even the civilians too.
A military man will call someone a "bloody civilian" just because you are in service forgetting that you will retire and become a bloody civilian too (that's if you don't die in service).
You will pity their immediate family when they die in service. How about the ones that are injured, let's not even go there. The rank and file (after retirement) usually become security men, gate men or ogogoro drinkers.
Do you know the money from the sales of armed forces remembrance emblem normally goes to the vets but some people have hijacked it.
You don't get respect by 'gra-gra' people only start to avoid you not respect you. Most Nigeria when they see a military personnel they just be like "make this one do carry him wahala go".
In the civilized world they respect their military. When one see's someone wearing that uniform they go to meet them and appreciate them. You hear things like "thank you for your service". People stand up from seats for you insisting you take their seats. People offer to pay for your food or even the owners of restaurants may decide you do not pay. It is not taken by force but given freely.
Over here in Nigeria, it is different, I once entered a public vehicle sometimes back and a military man didn't want to pay. The driver stood his ground that he must pay, it took the intervention of an elderly man before he was let go.
I military vet in the USA was taken to a court because of traffic violation and when the judge saw that he was a vet he had compassion for him. The judge's words were " we cannot thank you enough for you great service to our great nation and i am very sorry for the way you guys were treated when you came back from Vietnam"
The Vietnam war vets were humiliated when they came back. People threw things at them. Booed them, spat at them etc.
I pray the Nigerian army doesn't get to a state whereby people don't trust them or start getting bad treatment from citizens. I will stop here. |

CodeTemplar: Federal or state or all roads? I doubt the 195,000 Km figure. Most federal roads run from one state capital to the next state capital and averages 3 hours or around 300km. 36 states is too few to come up with that your figure o. Its a combination of both Federal and state roads paved and unpaved. Most of Namibia roads are untarred also. |

Vanhooijdonk: Namibia's road network is regarded as one of the best on the continent; road construction and maintenance adheres to international standards.[3] The country's more than 44,500 kilometres (27,700 mi) roads are administered by the Roads Authority, a state-owned enterprise established by Act #17 of 1999. Due to low traffic volumes the majority of roads are not tarred.
While Nigeria road network is 32,000 kilometre federal roads network.
Namibia is much bigger than Nigeria in terms of landmass. Nigeria is bigger in landmass than Namibia. Nigeria has a larger Road network than Namibia Nigeria has a road network of 195,000 Kilometre |

Isinweke: We are talking of Nigerian army not US army,
We don't hear of US army running away from their bases, abandoning their military duty then run away, this can only happen in a Zoo. Nigerian military was not designed to fight external war, they colonial masters created them to checkmate their colonies, With one create of beer I can arrange up to 3 soldiers, take them to go and beat or arrest any ordinary Nigerian citizen I want, that's what Nigerian soldiers are good at or body guard. Can that happen in the US? Nigerian soldiers are just future gate-men/security men after retirement, they will going around claiming old soldier while looking for whom to give them kai kai to drink. NIGERIAN ARMY IS PLAYING GAME WITH BOKO HARAM, BOTH OF THEM ARE THE SAME. Ghanaians even have better army, I find it disturbing that a lot of ex service men in Nigeria end up as gate-men or security men after retirement. Then the dismissed ones end up as armed robbers. I think the govt needs to do something about their retirement package so they will be comfortable after retirement. |
