My dear, imagine the comments. These days most men think providing for the family is all it takes to keep the family together. Family is bigger than paying bills and forming boss man while they serve you food at the table. It takes 2(husband and wife) to build and run the home. What's the essence of getting married if there will be no bonding and family time.

Most of these men saying rubbish are the ones you see leaving their family at home to go hang out with other women. I can't imagine why a married man will chose his friends above his wife and kids.

You don't have to waste time and energy arguing with that girl, she's yet to see the other side of life. It's possible that she washes and irons her boyfriend's clothes but she's here feeling like what she's not to make a useless point.

Ofcourse my laundry is my responsibility but I and my partner are one so my responsibilities are her responsibilities and her responsibilities with exception of child bearing are my responsibilities too.

@Op, I want to tell you something, there are good men and there are good women but the problem with our generation is that we apply what we read online to our offline life.

I know a friend who goes to her boyfriend's house every Saturday to cook different soups for him that will last him the whole week but she was among those disturbing us with wife not cook hashtag.

Likewise men, many of us do all many works that are considered to be female works but we will never admit it.

Thing is, do what works for your family and be proud of it, it's nobody's business.

My dad was a professional chef so you can guess how often he made our meals when he wanted to, he could create sauce for dinner with just vegetables.

Read all posts but try responding to only the mature ones. Let the younger ones learn or move on, I don't see any point in arguing

Op you are a good man but trust me it is not in your place to wash your wife's clothes. From experience I would advice you don't do that again unless she is completely indispose for that period and not because of party. Everyone needs to understand their role and where they come in to help. If she is sick etc then help out.

A raft foundation for a 4 Bedroom bungalow will certainly be more the amount I wrote.
Secondly, I presuppose that you expect the foundation to be close to the ground without taking cognizance of the future of any adjoining road.
Thirdly, four bedroom bungalow with such dimension would require reinforcement.

My estimate stems from these observations and more.

Funny how you @johnson232 jump around criticizing without contribution as though you are the Op. Your observations are noted but what if you keep it to yourself and if requested.

The drawing is very poor.
You will have visibility and ventilation issues in your lobby.
Find a better architect and come back for more professional advice.

Also, as an architect I would do certain things differently from the way your architect did but I can tell you there's nothing wrong with your design. Any architect will understand the challenges in planning 3 bedrooms or more 'bungalows'.

30,000 for digging and pouring
50,000 for double trip of stone base
72,000 for setting to DCP level
12 bags of cement for choking and foundation level taking
16 trips of red sand for foundation filling.
6 length of 12 mm for pillars

That's all and of course you will need water in site

It will cost 5 million naira to build a 4 bedroom flat unless you decide to use very high quality of materials for the finishing

I presume you are trying to maximize space but since its a bungalow, the Sitting room and dinning room design should alter to make it a lot cheaper for you.

But generally, the entire foundation will cost you approximately N1.7mil.

I have calculated the cost for foundation,
Digging foundation: 40000
1120 block for foundation : 134400
cement: 48000
bricklayers and labour : 40000
Total : 262,400...

but d price can go down in ur area, here in idiroko cement is 2400 and u r going to use 20 bags of cement, block is 120 and u r going to use 1120 blocks, that's d estimate, it can't pass d price I give u, am a site engineer and supervisor

Yes. But as soon as you're done roofing, you cover immediately. It twists when exposed to sunlight.

I use it majorly for nogging because the ones in d southwest are usually not cut straight and it's expensive here.

There are other hardwood options you can consider for kingpost, tie-beam, rafter etc

Melina and Ire look like so much alike. It's only through smell you can differentiate them. Don't let them sell Ire for you.

Termites don't eat Melina wood. They sold something else for you bros or it didn't properly mature before cutting.

Even an Iroko wood will get eaten by termites if it's not old enough.

Melina isn't good when exposed to sunlight. It twists. But a mature one is not food for termites.

In fact even an immature one isn't food for termites.

He replied with "who's this ?, and how did you get this number? "

But having red all your Drills Harddone, I seems to have got all my replies wrong from the Onset,

Cos I told her I got it(her number) from one of her colleagues(wasn't referring to that my friend) whom I promised not to tell her of.. That she should relax and give me attention pls.. with time she would know...

She blocked me later, having told me she doesn't talk to strangers.
I reconnected her up through IMO and poked her with many annoying chats. E.g "you won't pick my calls, you won't reply my chats , if you think I have all time to be wasting with you , feed your ego" "I meant good to have tried to connect with you, so good will always come my way".. lol.. and so many other chats ..

But I was amazed when she replied with a bomb shell "so arrogant with words and easily concludes, anyways I feel your still a boy , so try and grow up"

This reply alone got me pissed, even though I didn't show it up to her, I only replied her subtly , telling her arrogance is far from whom I am, that I purposely did that to have her talk. Anyways let's be friends and drop that ur had to get personality..

She changed a bit, but still acting hard, especially replying my chat at her own time, and telling me she's busy whenever I call her.

I had one of my friend talked with her last time, having told him about the hard time one particular girl has been giving me, He went telling her to stop acting so hard to someone that meant good, that I sent him to have some words with her. That am a good guy.

Malina is a cheapwood and performs very badly against termites and other wood insects even after wood treatment. I have previously had very bad experience with malina, termites finished my roof woodwork, doors and door frames. I wouldnt say of using its performance on other furnitures but for door, door frames, or roofing especially in termmite or wood ant infested areas, it's no.no no for me. Decision yours though.
