For those of you who grew in the early 90ies and hearing about the O O Olumba Olumba brotherhood of the cross. We used to view them weird for those of you who may be honest and not try to please anyone with your comments. They were portrayed in a negative way. Today, has it changed? How have our perceptions changed toward them? Do Christians accept them as fellow Christians? Would you happily attend their services?

We have watched many pastors claiming they have special powers from God. Why don't they go to hospitals to heal people there just as Jesus did? I just read the book of Acts 1:34.

I verily agree with you especially in the concept of original essence. Every religion either polytheist or monotheist all have a perception of a single creator but the polytheists feel that forces or powers associated with him should be revered alongside him. For example, the Yorubas worship Olodumare and the Irunmale (deities) and the Hindus believe in an all powerful creator called Brahma but they also worship his manifestations (Vishnu, Shiva, Durga Kali, Saraswati e.t.c) but monotheistic religions feel that only the creator should be worshipped. I am quite fascinated with African or Negroid religions especially the Egyptian.

The only non-Christian foreign religon I find quite interesting is the Sumerian religion, the oldest religion in the world.

African religions are quite serene and shun religous wars but most hold archaic views or engage in abhorrent acts such as the sacrifice of twins or considering jaundiced children as demons.

In the physical, its just a valid choice you made but spiritually the consequence is far much more than that.

Our fathers of old did the same thing, they took a giant Iroko tree in the forest and started paying obeisance unto it. The tree became an idol (Orisa!). Anything can be made into an idol including iron, mirror, doll, stone.

However, once that is done then a malevolent spirit attaches itself to the idol and directly receives your obeisance, sacrifices and adulations. In return, it may or may not reveal its presence to you. That is why some idol worshippers will swear at the power of there god.

So you see, There is always a point of interface BTW the physical and the spiritual. The spiritual influences the physical but not the other way round.

I MEET AN ATHIEST
In my second year, I stayed in Abiola Hostel,
Abiola Hostel used to be the hostel of the big
boys because only a wall seperated it from
Jibowu hostel (a female hostel). Unlike
Akindeko the rough and muslim ridden hostel.
At Abiola Hotel I met a guy, AZO (real
nickname) he stayed in Block B while I was in
Block C.
Azo was in 300L while I was in 200L. This guy
did not believe GOD exists!
WHAT!
That was the first time I was meeting an atheist!
I was shocked!
That was the worse thing possible to me. How
will a mere human not believe God Almighty
exists?
I decided to have a chat with him. One thing I
was good at was converting people, so I was
sure the Holy Spirit was going to arrest Azo once
I met him. To my surprise, Azo was the most
honest plain guy I ever met. He listened to all I
had to say. He said amen to my prayers. He was
honest about finding God if indeed God exists.
And I assured him that God exists but the devil
has hardened his heart and blinded him from
the truth.
I was convinced that God wanted to save Azo. I
prayed for deliverance for the guy and I saw a
lot of willingness from him .

he was convince God want to save Azo from atheism, while he is a secret atheist.

Every true believer and every true minister of the gospel has a conversion experience. It may not be as elaborate as Pauls but there is always an experience. Fake believers and fake pastors always just "happen" upon the scene just as we are seeing here.

I personally asked him to post here his Testimony of conversion. Everyone who was living in sin must have a remarkable encounter that brings about the decision to turn around from sin to follow Jesus. What was his? He dodged it.

I can pose as anybody and present another well known indiciduals experiences as mine, it won't make me that person. It's wen we start question and anawers we get to know if the answers align with our stories.

I have a testimony of conversion, every real believer has. Being in Church is not the same thing as being in Christ.
