21cents: which stupid agreement?
the issue is not even about the 2009 agreement again but payment mode. dictating to your employer how to be paid is insane. ASUU has lost the goodwill in this fight and I hope ASUU better yield to IPPIS or be punished by FG for their unreasonable demand. Ippis is good for the core civil service without complicated peculiarities. IPPIS is a scam. You said it's not about the agreement,if not tell FG to honour it , IPPIS is against that agreement . |

EKITI001: UTAS UTAS UTAS UTAS ..
Is there sense in you making an application for your employer to be paying you and your colleagues salaries and then say your employer must use it or u continue on strike...
Something is fishing
But it makes sense for IPPIS to be cutting salary. |

ignis: it's unfortunate ASUU is headed by selfish old leaders who put thier interest first over that of the students and the country. The present government on the other hand don't value education in the country because all their children are studying abroad and unaffected by ASUU's incessant strike. Keep shut, tell your leaders to honour agreement. |

Mr A is on sabbatical leave in University 1
Mr A is an Adjunct Lecturer in University 2
Mr A is a visiting Lecturer in University 3 While Mr A is a Senior Lecturer in University 4

That's why unemployment is rampant in the land It's only senior lecturers who can do that and it's part of the conditions of service. |

Wisdom demands that they take the offer now and call off the strike
They are the next target, if they fail to maximize this opportunity it will lead to the Federal government proscribing all the Unions on campus through Executive Order
Let them appear real and stop this hide and seek game They're demanding for legitimate demands. FG should honour agreement. |

Besides ASUU, many Agencies of the federal government rejected IPPIS as a mode of Salary payment. The likes of NNPC, CBN, DPR, PPRA, PEF, PTI, NNRA, Nigeria Army,INEC etc.
They insisted that they have laudable and robust payroll system and that their peculiar Salary parameters would not fit into the proposed IPPIS. Today these agencies are comfortably left out of IPPIS trap. |

Where in the whole world will an employee dictate for his employer on how to pay him? Awon Oloriburuku lecturers everywhere increasing the years of students just because of their selfish interest This is what the Nigerian law say: "The Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) Act 2003 (otherwise called the Universities Autonomy Act No. 1, 2007) enacted by the National Assembly and signed into law on 10th July 2003 and later gazetted by the Federal Republic of Nigerian Official Gazette No. 10, Volume 94 of 12th January 2007 as Act No. 1 of 2000, has vested the powers of managing personnel and payroll system issues in the hands of each university’s governing council". |

Yes, he might have other sources of income like selling to us expensive multiple handouts, selling expensive research data gathering tools for we that are research minded making us look for cheap alternative that adversely affect our data and make us loss interest, Collecting a large share from our departmental annual students contribution, Collecting money from those students that failed in his course.
I so much respect teachers at all level of education, but they are one of the reason why our schools are not performing like that other countries, instead of pressuring the government on our behalf, they are busy fighting for their own salary.
They are actually free to fight for their rights but scoring points with our own future in the process is nothing but wrong. We all know the importance of age in our labour market but those teaching us seems not to care.
What pains me most is that they claim to be fighting for the education sector but what concerns them the most is their salary , is their salary this only underfund item in the education sector? But who are we (student) to talk, we are nothing to them but a tool to checkmate the government Okay |

Those issues can always be resolved. Okay |

I am just looking at a bank like GTB tells all her staff that they should register on one platform to receive next month salary and you as a staff will start forming strike. It can't happen. If you do not like IPPIS, go and work in Shell or other private universities not here dictating for your employer.
