BBC again

The same BBC that is being dragged on twitter for representing Atiku as the better candidate.

These people have started interfering in our elections and Like el Rufai said they shall all leave in body bags.

Look at this headlines and tell me if this is not pure interference.

Very defining

It will define whether we retire old form of governance or we continue.

If we continue then we’re doomed.

If we finally retire it then we have a chance for the future.

I beg to differ on the terminologies. I still think this is a media trial which can be used to the advantage of whomsoever has the most resources to bend the narrative to their favour. Trump understands this hence he has become his own journalist courtesy of Twitter (which by the way hasn't changed the impression we all have of him as a bona-fide racist and simpleton). Nigerians have a flair for drama and the media have perfected the art of reporting altered truths to create the most impact. In truth, the full picture might be terribly boring but where's the fun in that.
I am not supporting any of the parties, all I ask is a fair trial and some decorum is the media-sphere. And while we are at it, onnoghen and Co should desist from dabbling in cheap stories and rhetorics to curry favour from the masses. It won't work cos the media will bend whatever story they release to their disadvantage.
From this your post I now understand your stand about the media trial phrase.

Mostly when you hear people say media trial, it’s usually from PDP apologists and it is usually to mean that the FG is the brain behind media trial just to make the accused look bad but in actual fact there’s little to which the federal government can do about what the media reports.

I now understand your point that the media attention is more than the actual court room or prosecutorial action.

I also wish the court room action will be more than the media attention but what can the FG do when you have the likes of Onnoghen who would rather use the court technicalities to frustrate the court process than face the actual case to determine if he’s guilty or not.

While the public is interested in knowing if the accused is guilty or not, the court is debating over the technicalities. This makes the case to drag for longer than necessary and when the case is dragging longer, the media wants something new to keep the audience interested and they know the audience don’t care about the technicalities.

But if the case is devoid of the technical frustration then there won’t be time for media trial.

Presently we have a corrupt judiciary who is more than willing to maintain the status quo.

We have a massively flawed 1999 constitution that is so full of lacunas only created for the corrupt to exploit.

And

We have a National Assembly that will not pass any law to eliminate the faulty technicalities (lacunas) e.g. the anti corruption bill languishing on the senate presidents desk.

Effectively we have the judiciary and the legislative using the technicalities to block the executives from effectively fighting corruption.

When the court room won’t try the accused just because of technicalities and the legislative won’t correct the technicalities then the media will have no choice than to start their own trial based on the facts available to them.

To be fair, I am aware that a lot of media trial is going on right now which is not to onnoghen's favour. I wish his lawyers will change the narrative and focus on the illegality of his removal rather than his assets cos I am in doubt that he can convincingly explain where all that money came from....not in today's world where every money can be traced digitally to the last Kobo. The ridiculous claims needs to stop now. I was in support of him going to trial to clear his good name, innocence and his suspension. I wish he will get smart lawyers that will help him achieve that.
If there’s one phrase I don’t like that people keep throwing around, it is the media trial of a thing. The corruption trial of the CJN of a country is big news and media companies are bound to feast on it. The FG can’t stop the media from investigating and reporting their findings.

If what the media is carrying is media trial then people should investigate how the US media feast on this kind of situation. At least no paparazzi has gone to his house to get his picture or even break into his house. No private media has requested for interview or privately gone to investigate or verify his so called assets.

Using the phrase media trial is simply trying to water down the importance of the trial of a CJN of whole country. It is a big deal and the media wants the biggest deal as news.

The fact is that there’s nothing to clear from his name that is why he’s running from pillar to post trying to dismiss his trial through technical means rather than face it squarely.

He’s also trying to use delay tactics with the believe that the president won’t be elected and he will be let off the hook.

PoliticsRe: Onnoghen Hints At Agriculture /farming As Source Of His Wealth by jomoh:
If I get anything from all this lies the disgraced CJN is trying so hard to spin it is the fact that he and/or people close to him or fighting for him know a thing or two about the herdsmen activities. Let him answer this questions.

1. What does the FG or APC have to gain from sending herdsmen to his farm? They’d rather send EFCC.

2. How did the herdsmen know that the CJN owns the farm?

3. How come the herdsmen has never visited the farm since they started wrecking their mayhem but decided to visit now that the CJN is on trial?

4. How strategic it is, that the CJN (who claimed to have no other source of income in his declaration of asset) coincidentally and suddenly now have a farm in nasarawa(being terrorized by herdsmen) of all the 36states of the country.

PDP is pure evil and God that owns all the souls they’ve wasted shall disgrace them.

Side note: Does anyone notice that since Atiku became PDP presidential aspirant, Oyedepo and Apostle Suleman has suddenly gone quiet on their shout of APC Islamization agenda.

Like seriously. I just hope And pray PMB gets re-elected so as to get rid of these old politicians.

We are at a very critical point of transition in this country. A very silent revolution. Unfortunately a lot of people still don’t see the bigger picture.

If we get it right we and our generation unborn get to enjoy but if we get it wrong, then we are eternally doomed.

The level of fake news in this country is alarming.

And what skill do they possess to work. Most of them has never set foot in a secondary school.

They already have their own job. They are already entrepreneurs but lack the capital to help them break even. That is what the Tradermoni is providing. They are more productive than most of those useless twitter commentators who waste money buying data to talkdown on people who need peanut to survive.

The problem of this country is the half baked graduates with phones on twitter and NL. Their line of thought is very saddening.

PDPs constant alarm is now a cause for concern.

Nigerians need to wake up and challenge PDP to produce evidences or stop heating up the polity.

This is the same strategy used by TRUMP all through his campaign. Shouting that Clinton and the democrats are planning to rig the election but in actual fact he is the one that was colluding with the Russians to rig the election in his favor.

PDP may have borrowed from the trump strategy.
