Anaskie: Wow. That's a very nice analysis. I'm sure this was planned by the APC chieftains. Quite brilliant though. Themandator: Theory. First travel to Rivers state, ask randomly people's opinion about Amaechi being against Jonathan then come back here. ..it is not by propaganda Freest: Are you kidding me You spoilt it all by calling Edo... You have no idea!!! gingger: Speak for urself.. Am an Edo man.. We d way oshiomole is doing.. I doubt if APC will come into power both in d presidential level n d state level .. We ve a lot of PDP in Edo state .. Ain't a supporter of any party.. All I want is good leadership.. Be it APC or PDP.. I don't give a damn.. leofab: what do you mean by the above? Will APC field more than one candidate for the final election? That's what is called permutation in politics. You try as much as possible to neutralise your opponents stronghold while trying to keep yours intact. The motive is not to absolutely win the state or zone but to at the least be able to have something to show. Even bayelsa is not totally his. When you unsettle your opponents stronghold they lose concentration on your own in the process of settling theirs. |

Rochas just divided the political scene of SE while Ngige has already divided Ohaneze. This ensures that no stronghold for Jonathan come 2015. Not even his own SS cos Rivers under Ameachi is against him while Edo is also not behind him. |

shizzleStar: should they have returned it to you or is it your fathers company?
you can as well go and put him in jail yourself
Useless, frustrated bastard No need for foul and insulting words, just present a logical argument to back up your own position. Why does all this Jonathan followers love to result to insults when boxed into corner same way their mentor and his team result to attacking personality when accused of clear foul play. I weep for this country when I see the kind of people that are being bred by the jonathan team. A bunch of people that find it hard to take responsibility, instead, prefer to play the blame game and at the worst result to insult when there's no one to blame. |
Politics › Re: Why Did Buhari Sentence Fela Kuti To 10 Years In Prison? by jomoh: 9:32pm On Nov 10, 2014 |
barcanista: When General Muhammadu Buhari came to power, there was wide corruption in the Second Republic. A decree was passed that nobody take out or bring in foreign currency into the country. Offenders are liable to 10years in Jail. This decree was to curb money laundering by politicians and corrupt businessmen.
FELA KUTI Fela had performed abroad, he was paid in foreign currency in cash and had it on him on his return to Lagos. He was subsequently arrested for breaking the law and was prosecuted, found guilty and jailed.
PLEA: There was a plea by human right groups to Head of State Buhari to "pardon" Fela, he refused because he believe that the law be served to the letter.
THE OFFENSE, GMB AND FELA: First, there was an existing law/decree.
Secondly, Fela bringing in cash means it contradicts the law/decree, however, the money is from hard work. Morally, he's justified! Legally, he is not.
Buhari had refused to grant pardon, because the law was broken. If he grants pardon, some section of politicians will accuse him of preferential treatment. He didn't because he believes in absolute discipline. By law, he is justified. Morally, he is not, considering that it was Fela's sweat(my opinion). The law does not work with emotion unfortunately.
MY OPINION: GMB should have pardoned Fela. The law should have made for exception. Buhari should have tampered justice with mercy This is a perfect and logical explanation for me. Firefire: My friend,... how far ee don don?
Chai, Barcanista,
Why are you trying to twist the truth... Let's have your own version of the "untwisted" truth. |

tit: the your i-witness na satellite? it looks like he has been stalking the Nigerian army all over. From Bama, Borno to Ikorodu rd lagos and then to Palmgrove. He does not seem to be an impartial witness to the truth. He just seems so jaundiced and full of biased opinions.
And maybe, he seems to have to have something against female soldiers. Is he afraid of the men? Why is he trying to pin everything on an unknown female soldier? He does not come across as an unbiased, credible, truthful witness. he seems to have made up more than half the story. This is not the first time this girl will be bashed for her quick, reckless and most times senseless comments. You obviously lack comprehension skill. READ and COMPREHEND before you make comments. |

APC are going to do more harm than good with all this 70 something years old men that are bankrupt of idea only how to steal kill and cause cönfusion among mankind. With your statement above, you have shown to anyone and everyone irrespective of their political affiliation that it is either you are suffering from lack of ability to comprehend or you're simply being hypocritical. Let me help you a little. It is clear what the man is saying above in a simple and unambiguous statement is that, he doesn't care the Age, the Religion, the ethnic group of the aspirants as long as they are constitutionally qualified and credible enough to rule this country WELL. So stop quoting out of context to suit your personal vendetta. |

rahymat: Most muslims have cheating nature even d guy im datin nw sef,its unfortunate dat cool, caring nd responsible guys turned out to be xtians nd i end up nt datin dem because of parent religious policy Rahymat. You just broke my heart with ur post. Because ur boyfriend cheats and he's a muslim doesn't make all muslim guys a cheat. A man by default has the cheating instinct either Muslim, Christian or Atheist. Pastor Oyakilome's wife left him based on allegation of cheating same goes for Chris Okotie's Ex-wife. Aregbesola has only one wife and claimed to have never had sex with any other woman in his life. |

olapluto: I understand how you feel, but you made many assumptions. 1. The incoming government will be much much stronger than the current government. It is PDP that allows thugs like MEND to have the chance. A tough government will stamp out such groups as soon as they form. 2. if the government performs, there will be no distrust, so no war, ethnoreligious conflicts or such 3. All that GDP bla bla bla will not be that way if we have a ballsy president like Buhari. I think predictions has to do with imagination and assumptions so you can't fault the guy. People need to calm down a bit these are predictions based on the current happenings not declaration of what will definately happen. |
