forgiveness: Exclusive: Akpeyi, Idowu, Osimhen, Oboabona Were NOT Considered For Call-Up Vs Algeria
Published: October 30, 2016 Exclusive: Akpeyi, Idowu, Osimhen, Oboabona Were NOT Considered For Call-Up Vs Algeria Contrary to rumours emanating from a section of the media, Rizespor stopper Godfrey Oboabona, Wolfsburg trainee Victor Osimhen, Amkar Perm ace Brian Idowu, Gent midfielder Anderson Esiti and Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi were never considered for selection in the latest Super Eagles roster.
Allnigeriasoccer.com is in the possession of an email sent by the Nigeria Football Federation to all the invited foreign-based professionals and the aforementioned players were never informed to show up in Abuja for the World Cup qualifier against Algeria.
As a result of the document in our possession, this website correctly predicted the new players invited to beef up the squad, without making guesses, leaving out ADO Den Haag youngster Ebuehi because we were not sure of his email address and his Dutch agent has not yet informed us of his availability up to this moment.
Suggestions that the NFF and technical crew made last minute changes to the 25-man roster are out of topic and something done to save face.
It is common knowledge that Watford striker Isaac Success would have been invited but was eventually omitted after suffering another injury setback.
http://allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=20905 AllNigeriaSoccer is a dubious website. Its 'exclusive' is almost always untrue. The owner of that site is always looking to have a fight with other sports site. Unless confirmed by other sites, don't take any news from that site serious. |

Icon4s: We dnt even need it in friendlies. We should instead use the friendlies to try natural LB and RB options. 4 defenders at the back is still the big deal.
And wait... i don't like Moses? Wow. How come you like Moses but you say he wont listen to the instructions of coaches of African teams? I look at attitudes, not platitudes towards players to determine which players are favourites with some people here. |

Icon4s: What is my own with Conte and Mikel's case. Did you see me make any comment critisizing Conte for not fielding Mikel?
U mentioned countries that play that formation as Italy and Argentina. These are teams that have quality in abundance to execute which ever formation they chose. Their players also have the tactical discipline to adhere to the instructions that will back that kind of formation.
We are in Africa.
Conditions are not right here. Our players play in different leagues and under different coaches with different idealogies. AFRICAN PLAYERS GENERALLY LACK TACTICAL DISCIPLINE. There may b little or no time to for the boys to train together to adjust to an unfamiliar formation.
A 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 formation requires a lot of running and movements from the Wing backs/LMF/RMF. For our kind of climate/weather the steam in those wing backs will die out after 60mins of the game and the wall of Jericho of that team will colapse U know what will follow. I see that you intentionally left Chile. Chile has always had more quality than all African teams, abi? African countries do not have the football brains to pull off what a country that didn't win any trophy for 99 years did during their dark years? Okay na. Continue.
African players are brain-dead with no ability to learn and switch formations. |

Pep did not use the formation in his conquests. He used it in some games. The Back line of Barca was Abidal...Pique..Puyol.. Dani Alves. This was the main back line. Not 3-4-3. I think you should read more on it. The formation is actually difficult to pull off. You don't know Pep. Go and read Pep Confidential where he detailed how he made the formation work. I can send you a copy if you want. |

Icon4s: That formation cannot work for an African Team. We do not have both the time and tactical discipline to do such in the WC qualifiers that the team has barely 4-5 days to train together.
Club football is different from national team football. National teams that try such formation usually have most of their national team players playing in the same league and such it would be easier to build the Team Chemistry based on that formation.
A player like Victor Moses would keep to instruction at Chelsea but when he comes to Nigeria he would b playing to the gallery. Na that one u want make him play defense for u?
How many times have I said we should try them only in friendlies and low pressure games? Have I been singing to the choir?
Do Argentine players have most of their players playing in the same league when Bielsa used it with them? What about Chile?
Just say you don't like Moses. Saying Moses will not play to the instructions of the coach is below the belt. The players respect Rohr. And with the crop of players we have now, why are you under-estimating their technical and tactical ability to pull off all kinds of formations including 3-5-2 with enough training and devotion? It's not good that you are saying the same things that those white supremists say. Africans can do anything that people of other races can do. We are not inferior beings. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by joseph1013: 7:30am On Oct 29, 2016 |
Icon4s: See, it is very normal for coaches to switch formations even in a single match. Football is dynamic as u rightly put it. A team can start up with a 4-5-1, switch to 4-4-2, switch to 4-3-3 & end up with 3-4-3 in a single game depending on the situation the team found itself during d game and what results it aims to achieve.
Nobody is saying 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 is not a good formation. There are so many factors to consider before a team adopts a particular formation for a particular game or competition.
Each of those formations have there advantages and also disadvantages. So many things are involved. They have their own risks elements. And several times u run ur cost and benefit anslysis for each.
IMO the formation with the least risk associated with it is the 4-5-1. MOST national teams in the world set-up their teams with this formation. A very balanced formation that can get u mass attack eg 4-1-4-1 or mass defence 4-4-1-1.U can also play with a crowded midfield eg 4-2-3-1. U can also easily switch to a 4-4-2 without making any substitution.
For a 3-4-3 formation u stand a risk of being over-run and demolished if ur opponents really capitalise on ur lack of RB & LB.
Clubs can afford to take more risks and perform more experiments than the national teams. Clubs spend more time together and usually have the quality of players to execute which ever formation they chose. Also Club competitions run every year and several competitions run concurrently in a year. So if u are out of one u still have others to take part in and then correct ur mistakes.
But for the national team? U dnt take any how risk. If u are out of a competition it will take u another 2 or 4 years to come back.
Let Conte and Pep be entertaining us with their 3-4-3. And let Rohr take us to Russia with his adopted 4-2-3-1.
Pls we are ok for now with that formation. What I dont understand is the attack on 3-5-2. You have never used it but you are afraid of it. If you check enough forums, you will see some people afraid of 4-5-1. What I see here is just bias.
It's not just clubs that use 3-5-2 for goodness sake. National team use it. Conte used it with Italy. Bielsa used it with Argentina. Prandeli used it with Italy too. Chile has also used it.
I seriously don't know why there is such opposition to trying out different tactics. If we have friendlies or have an extended period for camping, why not? What is the harm in trying new things in low pressure games?
Or is this about Conte and the issue with Mikel? |

TheGoodJoe: This is not about show you. Most coaches do not use the three at the back system because of the risk. The ratio is too high. That is enough to tell you that it is risky for our national team. Please read more about the formation. I can show you articles upon articles about the formation.
Do you know that Pep used that formation to conquer Europe at Barcelona?
You can't be rigid and say you will stick to a formation when you have personnel to play another formation brilliantly. Football has passed that stage. Coaches regularly switch formations in games nowadays. From 4-3-3 to 3-4-3 to 4-1-4-1 to 3-5-2. You cannot be static and say an experienced coach like Rohr should not try new formation. You never know when you will need them. |

I singled the West Ham game not because Chelsea lost. Chelsea lost other games with four at the back under Conte.
I singled the game because of the ease West Ham swarm through. Especially before the second goal. I will keep quiet about this formation if you can show me a formation that has not never lost a game very woefully. Chelsea lost 2-1, right? Show me a formation that has never lost at least 4-0.
I will keep quiet. Just show me. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by joseph1013: 11:46pm On Oct 28, 2016 |
TheGoodJoe: History showed that in the long run, it fails. Very few coaches in the history of football have won trophies with three at the back.
Yet you want Rohr who is not known as a three at the back coach to start experimenting with it. But coaches experiment all the time. Do you have any idea how many formations Pep has used? I was reading in the UK Guardian how he used 4 formations in 4 games at Bayern. Formations he's never used before. What about Mourinho? Several! He didn't use the Chelsea Diamond at Madrid.
Football is dynamic. You can't stay still. You must keep evolving. Just look at that guy at Totthenham. What's his name again? He's presently my favourite coach in the EPL. I like to watch games and see movement of players. The way he sets up his team is mesmerizing to watch. That's how dynamic football is.
So you can't say a coach should not try new things especially when we keep telling you it should be on low pressure games. There will always be games when we need to try a plan B. |

TheGoodJoe:
I did not say Conte's system did not work in Italy or he did not win trophies. Keep that aside.
Before Conte started, I wanted to see him come to the EPL and play his three at the back set-up, week in week out. Fortunately, he did not. So those people that want to see us playing three at the back soon, should know a coach who played the system for years and works regularly with the team knew it was a risky approach.
In the game against West Ham, West Ham swarmed Chelsea to the point they were laughing.
So I do it think that is the kind of system the Super Eagles should play with.
Our coach is not one who plays the system and people want him to switch from his ideal method to play three at the back. You did not say the system did not work, yet you're asking me about Juventus in champions league. What was that about?
Conte has been using 3-5-2 for years. Juventus, Italy, Chelsea.
The problem I have with you singling out the game with West Ham is that I can also single out Chelsea-United game and say it proves the system is the best in the world. Chelsea won 4-0 and could have easily won 7-0. West Ham played a weak Chelsea for the EFL game. You can't use that game to judge Conte. How is that difficult to understand? Or are you angry with Conte because of Mikel?
People want to see us test 3-5-2 in friendlies. Why is that a problem? |

Icon4s: See, I was jst laughing when i saw how West Ham wingers were running over the Chelsea defense. Antonio and Payet were jst enjoying themselves. But for poor finishing Chelsea would have been down 3-0 at half time.
I have played that 3-5-2 formation a couple of times on PS . Any opposition that have fast wingers will jst stretch and demolish the defence. What the opposition does is to press from the Midfield and put a through pass that will by pass the players at Wing back or LMF/RMF. One of the CBs will be committed to chase the winger leaving the other two CB with abt 3-4 attacking Players to handle. It happens also on PS.
The weakness in Conte's 3-5-2 formation has been found out.
There is nothing as good as playing the traditional 4 defenders. All you've proven is that you don't like the system. Or may be it's Conte you dislike.
Conte has been found out? Because he lost an EFL cup to a full-strength West Ham playing a second-string team? I guess Pep has been found out with his 4-5-1 formation, right? At least he also lost to United.
Conte is no amateur. His Juventus 3-5-2 team won titles upon titles. He's a brilliant tactician.
I think that formation would work for Nigeria. Moses is made for that formation. Chelsea's not lost a game since he started featuring. Nigeria just needs to not rush it if the coach wants it. Friendly matches can be used as guinea-pigs.
Most times, you don't know what will happen until you try. For a lot of years, no one thought a formation outside 4-4-2 could win trophies. |

OUR MOST EXTRAORDINARY DISCOVERY
Heaven is mankind's most extraordinary discovery ever. Forget space probes exploring distant planets or machines diving to the depths of the oceans; forget the Higgs boson or discovering the age of the universe and forget discovering the molecular chemistry of our emotions and of our DNA. Discovering Heaven tops them all and then some.
How did we make this extraordinary discovery? Was it the Large Hadron Collider, the Hubble space telescope or the Cassini Orbiter? No, it was none of these things.
Discovery of Heaven came to us through the dreams a handful of men experienced several thousands of years ago. These men did not know the Earth travelled around the sun or that bacteria caused infections but their dreams informed them of a magical kingdom in which people lived forever in bliss and happiness. They told people about their dreams and eventually wrote them down.
We still read these stories today. We know these ancient dreamers got much wrong and that Heaven contradicts all known science. But despite that, and the fact that we cannot verify that Heaven is real, billions of people believe it is.
This is a bit like being promised you will win the lottery at the weekend and believing it with certainty. Actually, it is MUCH worse than that—at least we know the lottery exists.
Things are not true because you would like them to be true. Sorry. |

Highly respected Israeli agent David Ouziel, who is well known for his strong connection to Nigeria players has played down the hype surrounding Celtic 13 year old boy wonder Karamoko Dembele, who made his U-21 debut few weeks ago.
Ouziel, while paying respect to the talented teen insist that he has seen a lot of his type in Nigeria, in the numerous youth games he has watched whenever he visited the country.
The man who has transferred over nine young Nigerian players who are little known but well talented, insist that from what he has seen since he started working on transferring young Nigerian players, Nigeria has players on the street, who are better than Dembele.
”I can’t seem to understand the rave behind Karamoko Dembele by the world, especially Nigerians. I have seen a lot of his type on the street in Nigeria, so kill the hype” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.
”He is good no doubt, but like I told a friend of mine, in Nigeria on the streets on bad playing pitches, not the type Dembele enjoys in Scotland, they are better players in Lagos, Abuja, Porthacourt, Warri, Kaduna, Kano etc.
”I challenge anybody who doubts me to follow me to Nigeria. Look my friend, I have spent time in the country and in Europe, so I know what am saying. They are millions of Dembele on the street in Nigeria, playing football with no boots or facility but yet doing well”.

QUESTION 4 (COMPULSORY) (20 marks)
God is hidden because:
1) He loves us so much that he wants to be sure we love him too. Despite knowing everything, he can only be sure we love him by making people earnestly seek him. The unfortunate side-effect of this is that billions of people he dearly loves will not manage to find him and will have to be punished by being roasted in fire for ever. He truly believes this is a price worth paying to be sure of something he knows anyway. Remember, whatever happens, God loves you.
OR
2) He does not exist. |
