Hi All,

Today, a Member of Turkish Airlines told me at the Lagos International Airport that they do not pick passengers with C visas; meaning Tourist visas for now.

Does anyone know about this information? And also which Airline(s) is available to pick Tourists to Paris?

Thank you.

Can you try again,

Use this link

https://row1.vfsglobal.com/GAR1Ph1Appt/Account/RegisteredLogin?ReturnUrl=%2fGAR1Ph1Appt%2fHome%2fSelectVAC

If you are scheduling a group appointment, reduce it to one then the other.

Also use Google Chrome or Edge Browser.

I hope this helps.

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by josephb(m): 12:14pm On Jul 22, 2021
Hi Lizzer,

To the best of my knowledge, a frequent (traveller) is one who has previously had at least a Used UK, USA, CANADA or SCHENGEN visa.

Having an unused and expired Spanish residence permit MIGHT favour your application, just state reasons you couldn't use it and tidy up other supporting documents, then you are good to go.

Good Luck.

Lizzer:
Good morning Josephb
Thanks for the below message. i had a permanent resident visa to Spain in 2016 which i did not use, Spain being part of Schengen. So if am applying for France 2 weeks tourist visa, should i still apply as a first timer?
Secondly, do you think having a Spanish unused visa in my International passport will be an added advantage to my application?
Thank you and hoping to get your response soon.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by josephb(m): 12:07pm On Jul 22, 2021
Do you really understand me?

Have you tried booking an appointment for a first timer in VFS Lagos and got a date recently?

Ibrahim8258:
Appointment categories are divided into two.

1) For frequent travellers . Meaning if you have been to either UK, US, Europe before. Your Appointment schedule is different.

2) For non frequent travellers. Meaning anybody who has not been to those countries I mentioned above has a different Appointment category.

Now, it is only natural for those who have not been to UK,US, or Europe before to be more in number. That's why they had to split it because of the covid 19 pandemic. My Mentor personally asked them about this.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by josephb(m): 1:07am On Jul 22, 2021
Meaning, if you check the link above, there are no available appointments for a first time visitor yet.

Davidson5:
Concerning point 3.
Can you explain further?
Non frequent travelers have a chance

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by josephb(m):
Hi,

1. For tourism application to France, you need to rule out your day to day activities in a cover letter, you will have to state things to do from day one until your last day (best to choose 5/7 days). If possible, book a cancellable Tours.

2. It is mostly important to submit a company bank statements of account along with your personal savings/current statements of account if you are a business or company owner.

3. As i am aware, at the moment, France gives preference to frequent travellers for the purpose of Tourism. (Currently on VFS site, there are no appointments for first time visitors) you can check;
https://row1.vfsglobal.com/GAR1Ph1Appt/Account/RegisteredLogin?ReturnUrl=%2fGAR1Ph1Appt%2fHome%2fSelectVAC

Who are frequent travellers?
People who have at least travelled to The UK, USA, CANADA or SCHENGEN STATES.

4. For your balance of N500k, Flight ticket to France this summer is about an average of N410,000 (the Exchange rate on GDS platform just increased to 1 usd / N460 some days back), Hotel room for about 5 Nights can cost you a minimum of N200k, living expenses per day is estimated at an average of 50/60 Euros per person per day, for 5 days you should have 300 Euros (N180k) amidst other expenses (taking covid tests, etc).
The consular maybe puzzled at your true intention of wanting to travel for the purpose of tourism.

5. When you sum these, you have an average minimum of N800k, this implies that your trip is way above N800k on a N500k balance, the Consular MIGHT refuse your application on the grounds of insufficient funds.
Reasons been that, he will be concerned about what you and family will fall back to in Nigeria.

6. However, i am not saying it is not possible for you to be issued a visa, it is solely at the Consular's discretion.

7. Personally, i will advise you to work on your accounts and save more money.

Good Luck.

Hello All,

Does anyone have an idea about using a Schengen tourist visa, especially during this Pandemic?

I meant; how does it look like traveling to France or other Schengen States on a tourist visa now?

Though, i have just little information.

Your honest and accurate response(s) will help others too.

Thank you.

Hi, please don't be misinformed, you can apply for a Turkish E-visa with a single entry Schengen visa provided the visa remains valid during your visit to Turkey.

Kindly check previous pages it has been addressed severally.

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by josephb(m): 7:31am On Feb 13, 2020
Orange Bag doesn't indicate Netherlands application, the Black Bag is for first timer, red bag is for frequent traveler, orange bag is for a group/corporate application.

ATPx:
The French consulate represent the Netherlands. So you will be doing everything exactly like you are applying for France. Only difference is that your documents will be packaged in an Orange bag. You know Nederland = Oranje. So Orange color for you.

And the visa application center is VFS Global Lekki Lagos.

And to your question, this is the website https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/fra

Not as bad as that though...

This place is a junk ground like Ajegunle or Ìsàlè Eko.

It's because they dashed us Visa for $40 each, that I decided to spend 3 days here.

Not worth it one bit.

Taxi drivers don't speak English, Hotel attendants don't speak English, we started communicating with signs and hands.

The damn cold is killing. The heater can't even prevent me from having flu like symptoms.

Hi,
Also in an Event a three month evisa is granted, and your Schengen visa expires shortly after a month, can the evisa still be used?
In other-words, what is the validity and numbers of entry issued (Turkish E-visa).

Beverlyhills:
Yes it can be granted as long as it's still valid within the period of travel. You should use either Turkish airlines,,Pegasus airline, onur air or Atlasglobal Airlines. Those are the prerequisites for a Turkish E visa. In event you fly another airline from the above mentioned, you dont qualify.

You can do multi cities booking- lagos -cdg- Istanbul- lagos with Turkish airlines.

Hi,
Can a Turkish E-visa be granted for holders of single entry Schengen Visa?

Cyberknight:
Multiple -entry visas are possible, but I don't think you can get one for tourism. Most multiple-entry Schengen visas issued are for frequent travelers for business purposes, so you need to have a history of travel for business reasons to the Schengen Area first. Most of the people I know who have had one were business people, including a chap who used to go frequently to buy things from Germany for sale here and another chap whose company used to send him to attend meetings and trainings in France.

I have a Turkish friend who had a 3-year one which she used occasionally for vacationing, but she told me she'd usually sign up for one conference here and there to justify the trip.

Hi,
What is the name of your Hotel?
I paid N307,000 for Six Nights (Standard Double Room)

davodyguy:
Thanks so much for this response.

That's why I like this forum. Some really nasty people and some real human beings are here.

Paid ₦300k for 10 nights in Paris via Airbnb
Booked Seine River boat cruise (hoping this has nothing to do with the strike) for 26/12/19
Book Big Bus Tour hop on and hop off Bus(hoping this isn't going to be affected by the strike too) 25/12/19.

From Boxing day we might have to move to Brussels or Brugge or even Amsterdam.

Quite unfortunate.

Just that my wife wouldn't want to go alone. I have a court case that I need to attend to on Monday as defense counsel.

This life huh

Hello,
From what I can deduce, you meant it's possible to be granted a 1 year validity with the option of maximum stay at intervals being 180 days and or 6 months validity with maximum stay at intervals being 90 days?

I HOPE THAT'S THE POINT?

OmoBendel24:
You should have had and used a previous double/multiple entry Schengen Tourists/Visitors Visa as some sort of prerequisite, and must be able to demonstrate that you are or you will be a frequent traveller to the territory, especially with that previous visa, there are exceptions though, your job and its required frequent schengen travels for instance. And that you understand the 90 in 180 days rule of their visa usage.

My understanding though.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by josephb(m): 5:07pm On Dec 15, 2019
Hi
I believe I got a few from your explanations.

1.Are long-term visas not strictly for Students?
2.Will it ever be possible to issue a one year long-term visa for the purpose of visiting?
3.The one year long term visa you are talking about is it for the purpose of staying in the schengen territories for such length without recourse to public funds?
4.I only meant Long duration Visa such as the UK does.
5.Who can apply for a long term visa?

I hope to hear from you.

Beverlyhills:
Unfortunately, there's no way to extend a Schengen tourist visa beyond 90 days. However, with some money in the bank, ingenuity and paperwork, it is possible to obtain a long-term visa in a specific Schengen country, which will work as a valid visa for the entire Schengen zone.

Apply for a long-term visa in France, Spain, Sweden, Italy or Germany. Research which country's long-term visa works best for the travel plans. For instance, some countries have longer application turnarounds than others. These visitor visas grant travel for one year at a time and while they don't require proof of study, they do require proof of sufficient funds. They want reassurance that there is no work being done illegally, so it is necessary to show proof that of self support. No set amount is listed by any of these countries.

Hi,
I would like to know can a France Schengen Tourist visa of up to a year validity (Multiple Entry) be requested for and granted? In such a way as to use it frequently as the likes of the UK and USA?

If yes how do one go about it?

Cyberknight:
It's OK if you visit other Schengen states with your visa as long as your visa clearly allows you entry into other Schengen states (bears the inscription "ETATS SCHENGEN'). It doesn't matter if you didn't mention it in your application as long as you comply with the other rules and your stay in France is the major purpose of your obtaining the visa from the French embassy, is not less than your stay in the other Schengen countries you visit, and is in line with what you filled in the form, etc.

There are no border controls within the Schengen Area so your passport is only stamped once at the point of entry into the zone. Make sure you have a coherent itinerary in case they ask to see it at immigration and carry a reasonable amount of cash commensurate with your proposed stay irrespective of whether you are going to use your bank cards or not. Most countries expect you to budget about 50 - 60 euro a day exclusive of hotel accommodation so I usually carry 500 euro for each proposed week of stay.

And this may sound trite, but ensure you carry printouts of everything, your ticket, hotel reservations, etc. I saw one chap at the immigration line in Charles de Gaulle last year who when asked about his trip now brought out his phone to start showing them something. Of course they took the phone, then took the chap off to the back room for further questioning.
