Nigeria we hail thee! there is no law that allows you use any silly fake name anywhere in the world, not even in the banana republics.

directors, actors and others like prostitutes that have a "working name" need to register those names under 90days to the inland revenue.

recently a friend of mine that needed to remove his name from the public domain because of some threat had to go through the deed of pool system to officially change his name.

just imagine a world where every iyabos is allowed to call themselves shola and yetunde at the same time. no wonder we develop and progress at the fast speed we do.

being honest there are no banks in Nigeria. people use them because there are no alternatives. i heard the Md of zenith bank said here in the UK that about 70% of Nigerians do not have bank accounts. you wonder why. how do you bank with institutions you go through hell to pay into and another hell to remove your money

the non challant attitude slip-shod attitudes from the old days i worked in the industry as a cashier are still there. the amount of time you have to wait to get your money is disgusting. at the moment we are having problem with people unable to get the money that was sent to them via first inland bank from the uk since last week all in the name of systems being down. what kind of banking system is that?

too many people who have no clue how the system should work are clogging the system. there are too many hookers in the system.

i have been privileged to work in the industry here too and the difference in training and execution is clear. the customer is king. i know some of you will dispute that because you have had a rough time in banks here as to opening accounts and some other stuff but you have to know that is the price you pay for being a Nigerian along the doggy things our cousins do. happy Christmas everyone

ok someone tell me what is the average interest rate you can can expect on 5m naira fixed deposit for a year in your bank and as a non resident would i have to pay your 10% tax in your bank?

Nigerians are generally good at speaking grammar and telling untruth. now we have graduated to telling ourselves more lies. this is where our wahala is. we enjoy deception as a lifestyle.

i have always said if we swapped places with countries like USA and the UK it would only take Nigerians at most 5 yrs to ruin these places and start looking for visas to the place they ran away from. we don't plan for long term as a people so how are we going to maintain the lovely environment we inherit. by the times the thieves steal all the wealth here and send them to private bank account in old Nigeria how do you guys survive?

and o by the way, are we bringing our lovely police and nepa people along too? God help us there is great use of energy here because of short daylight and cold.

i hear someone talking about what the various tribes would do when they arrive. the question should be what the various tribes here have done so far.

i don't have figures for north America but i guess it wont be different from what we have in Europe. Nigerians are the highest number of prisoners in any European jail and that is not counting the large numbers masquerading themselves as Sierra Leonians, Liberians, Cameroonians, Congolese and Ghanian's.

God has blessed us as a people but there is something in our psyche that just think it is normal to get what you are not entitled to or work for.

some of you complain about the military as if the uniform is your problem. everything you have working in Nigeria today were all done by the military. the hospitals, schools, water and even the bad nepa. all the Nigerian complaining during the buhari/idiagbon regime about being asked to queue up for things are better now for not waiting for their turn. the fact of the matter is that the nation is full of very undisciplined people and i think there is something in the general populace that love disorder because it is the only environment that allows them commit the abominations they don't like the result.

when you guys see some award going for recognising nigerians who have gone out of their way to make nigeria a better place i suggest you nominate seun

for goodness sake it is not a crime to love your cousin. they are not having sex and they will both be responsible to respect their family. it is a phase she will will grow out of

my cousin is my best freind. we grew up together and have never been seperated for almost 30yrs. we went to primary school together and boarding house together. when i left nigeria we kept in touch. i helped her out of nigeria before i remembered my own direct brother and sisters. today she is a happily married wife and mother. it is good to have a family member you love and respect. and o we still talk daily and of course i still love her before she is a fabulous freind and a great lady and that doesnt stop her being my cousin.

from my experience most media ventures live or die by marketing, circulation and advertising revenue. if you dont know what you are doing or have a person or persons who know what they are doing around you dont throw your good money after bad money. that said if you are going into general news be cure the political class are going to make sure you never go hungry. that i know for sure.

this should not be new to you. people especially religious folks have always ganged up to prevent true light from reaching the masses.

i was beginning to think the whole place was full of some barbarians taking joy in mutilating young girls. growing up in africa i hardly heard of any parents abusing their kids sexually as i hear in europe

infact the bbc in london reported a research last 2 weeks that circumcised males in south africa was resistant to some form of HIV. i have to declare here that i generally dont take the bbc seriously and i have not seen the research work myself.

i dont like this business of circumcision but i dont like the sound of every old lady in africa doing this being evil either.

we need to inform and educate them.

i know this is a very sensitive subject to seun and others.

female circumcision is very bad. our lovely people should not be doing this and thank God there is an enlightment campaign to stop it. please please let's us all help in our families to stop it.

i am glad to say we dont do it in my family but i knew through oprah winfrey years ago that this is a big practice in africa.

i never knew we raising up generation after generation of sexually repressed and frustrated women. i didn't know too that women only enjoyed sexuall satisfaction between the legs. i think there is more to pycho-sexual fulfilment than we know and i think most men have no clue about this and thank God for the privilegde to jump on band wagoons.

to all the sisters this has been to i hope you find grace to forgive whoever did it. i do not personally believe that this was done as a result of some cruelty and conspiracy to deform or repress every daughter of africa. our people are not that kinkyyy. my 2 sisters whom i love dearly have confirmed to me that this was not carried out on them and i hasten to add that this was not because we come from a well educated home.

Ruach, london. the church does't matter. it is Christ that matters. have u ever wondered what nigeria would have been like without Christ's church there. most people hate the church at thier peril.

western europe was not blessed as they are today. their embrasing of Christianity and the church brought prosperity to the land and sadly when Godlessness began in the 70's as a result of wait for it "plenty" evil and decline began and the history is still being written.

Christ is light and every enviroment that allows Him access gets His light. CHRIST is the best that can happen to any one.
