i have to disagree with the above post by my dear sister debola. you guys are doing a great job sowing into people's life. the issue should be how scholarship's or some form of reduced sponsorship could be given to some of these poor student.

many of the older nigerians and africans attended church sponsored schools. most of the people that paid the money from abroad to create those schools were not themselves rich.

i think the kind of christianity of getting all we can and canning all we get to ourselves stinks.

if most churches don't go into competition of build the best church and who appears on tv more or who does the biggest crusade, they would be able to offer scholarship to poor kids. the bible says life in all its fullness and that is what churches should offer and not just sermons.

by the way, i love bishop oyedepo and i pray God to bless the work of his hands more in Jesus name.

i wish we all know the God in Christ. and that we have a peaceful word. i wish many nigerians would live a good life and not just exist and struggle from craddle to grave.

i wish every family have a loving mum and dad and a home full of love, kindness and compassion.

Christianity EtcRe: To Tithe or Not to Tithe? by joshjosh(m): 1:04pm On Oct 31, 2005
i travelled with a proffesional call girl one time. she knew every scripture in the book and was gladly showing me all her air miles and used tickets.

her school was that it doesn't matter what she does for a living as long as she tithed on it. i went to the church she invited me to and it looked afluent but i am sure if Jesus came in during that service about 99% would not have known Him. and o they had a very good choir and most ladies i saw where of her class if i call it that.

i did keep in touch with her for a while but obviously we couldnt remain friends for a long time because i dont subscribe to her any money at all cost beliefs.

i gather this is common now.

God said if i were hungry i wont tell u. God is not desperate for cash. He own the cattle on a thousand hill. tithe is not about money but about obedience and love for God. it is about trust. Jesus would say lovest thou me? feed my ........ HUNGERhuhhuh but the way some people preach this money thing u wiil almost believe the whole world would collapse without people tithing.

i tithe myself and i think about 65% of my church people do and i think all these debate about not tithing is basically stinginesss towards God and allowing other people to foot the bill of the kingdom while some come along on a cruise control.

it is all ook. we are still members of the greatest family. some families have theives and those who will be poor always.

i choose to be different.

most of these actors and actresses are insecure vulnerable people. seeking public approval. that is a fact. all the enhancement and beauty doesnt make a better person. pamella anderson and jordan and those lovely miserable drug addicts in the porn industry would have been best people you come across. having had the misfortune of working with some of these people, i bet most ordinary people would not change your life for theirs.

photoshop and other retouching softwares does wonders.

most people would be amazed to know how many hours of coaching these so call idols get to go through a 10minute interview.
most of the interesting things ascribed to them comes from the "rent a quote" bank.

i just read jessica alba said " after five hours of hair and make-up, i can look sexy in the right push-up bra, but then so should anyone. how right but sadly i think joan collins said something like that word for word about 5/6 yrs ago. and guess what i cant even say it was original with her.

i mentioned my shock at the fact that nigerians are now celebrating these "idols" when we are just barely getting rid of the ogun and shango and its consequences in our society.

some one told me years ago all idols are bad. living or dead. i hope you have enough money for your worship. conde nast and co are happy to take your money because they make all these idols for you and it is a big business.

have a good weekend you all.

dear brother the new revelation is that God is the God of love.

i think we can rest this matter now. God will not kill no one for you. the lovely english people say if wishes where horses, only fools would ride them.

we are in a culture where it is acceptable to kill every enemy. we dont use use criminals we use prayers or juju. God help us.

if a mother has 4 kids and 2 of them have disagreement which of them would she nominate for death my dear brother.

God is a fairer God than we know. His mercies cries ahead of judgement.

have a good day

an adulterer is theif too. we dont do polygammy no more. we migrate to multi partner/s. the weapons used may be mouth as in flatery and the bad brains between the legs. when u look at how this seemingly private thing wrecks havock on the society and general public you will call it worse.

the deception and cheating and the heart ache. the wasting of some time scarce resources to lead the double life.

the family especially kids who suffer when family breaks. in some strange way, the extended family we have in africa has immuned us to the horror and consequences of adultery.

europe and north america has prospered economically in the last few years but the burden of social security alone has almost brought the economies to its knees. the reason you have huge cost of social security is the high level of single family mostly women bringing up kids on their own.

we dont have government social security but as u and i know the private individuals ( just u and me ) underwrites this for the good of man kind.

i know it is complicated but my opinion is that both armed robbery and adultery are ugly and nasty. it eats deeps into some one trust and emotions.

hope no one here cheats?

that honour goes to my granny.  and all the old ladies in my street who looked after us like we their sons and daughters. they never went to school themselves  but made sure we were encouraged enough to be educated.  didnt have much but sacrificed enough that we knew no lack.

i remember my grand dad too. he was cool as a man can be.  we always said they deserved one another. he always said he loved as a seed for what we are going to reap and i see now he was right.

every time i remember the stories they told and the joy they created in their atmosphere i say a prayer of thanks for their lives.
i miss her so much but she is gone to a better world now to meet the great king she called her Lord.

i hope some of u had the priviledge of having some great granny like mine?

i miss hot angel too 'cos i have subscribed into her fan club. i hope i will get my money worth and i am enjoying some of your great wisdom and even wit. thank u all for taking the time. as they say every little help.

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome: Interview/Comments by joshjosh(m): 1:40pm On Oct 15, 2005
thank you dear brother,

i know that is the word. you can quote it as many times as you like. i still say to you that these are God's people and some of them will be pastors one day. leaders always have people who mis-understand them. it comes with the territory of being great. Jesus had His bunch of critics including some of us.

i know 2 pastors whose wives dont believe what they are called. and i know a pastor's son that always criticize his dad. would these pastor's want their family cursed i suggest 100% no and this is because they have a great hope that 1 day God will turn their heart's around.

i dont know if you were a born a christian and have never done any wrong in your life. the bible also says that the soul that sinneth- shall die amongst every other thing.

elijah and elisha had people following them one was good at forgiving the other was good at anger and raining curses. no wonder the ministry didnt survive after his death. that said i want to say too that i am not believing that every person who accuses a man of God will die because i know God's faithfulness and mercies do not allow that.

we may all fancy God doing all our biddings of wishing every one we dont like or agree with ill. when i was young i remember some one writting IF MEN WERE GOD? on the side of their car.

there is a grace we have been given my dear brother and if we use it to pray these people see the light and grace God has given us, we will make the world a better place.

God is the father of all man kind and He is calling us all to change our ways for good. He does not rejoice in the death of sinners which we all are and me in particular. i wish we live in a world where everyone likes me but reality have shown me that is not the world i live in.

i thank God you love your pastor and from seeing him i know he is a man full of love and guess what i dont hate you dear brother.

God bless and be with you

maybe miss world. at least they are telling themselves truth for the first time. and by the way abuse is not a one way traffic. it goes for both sexes. i know some people who are physically abused by their wife or girl freind.

it is a very shamefull thing and thank God some people are learning here too that it is not one thing u can go boasting about.

and can i gently say that every woman is not a queen just like eevery man is not a king. i may be wrong but that is my opinion.

whatever you do know that love always win. all form of abuse need to stop. we have managed to create a bad hostile world because of these silly violence we allow into our homes and families.

no one deserves to be beaten with the tongue or fist. no not one person. if u feel tempted, plsssss cry out for help and u will be glad u did. there is more to life than silly arguments and guess what - u are more productive in an atmosphere of peace and happiness.

have a great weekend everyone

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome: Interview/Comments by joshjosh(m): 3:46pm On Oct 14, 2005
dear brother, is this good? " Therefore as many as rise against Him shall surely fall and b destroyed by the lord Himself. Christian or non-christian."

i dont know pastor chris personally but i like the man. i watch him here too and am grateful to God that give this wonderful gifts to men.

to peter Christ said those that live by the sword die by it. the enviroment / tradition we practice makes Gods word impotent. Jesus had people calling Him names and His disciples were not following them with curses. Jesus came to set the captives free. some people that criticized pastor chris before would be members of his congregation now. if God hears people like u where would the crowd come from.

you see why you have murders and violence in the country. because those that cant kill with guns do it by juju or christian curses. God almighty help us and save us from temperamental christians. the world is ugly enough without the spiritual casualties.

christianity is about the love, forgiveness, reconcilliation and mercy of God and not how many things u acquire or how man u are able to kill through cursing. the great book says a man's life does not consist of the abundance of things we possess.

we are all God's kids

FamilyRe: New Wife, No Womb by joshjosh(m): 12:59pm On Oct 14, 2005
as we are all in bible mood, i was going to say that the great book says " that God would not allow us to be tempted more than we are able to bear" .... with all temptation, He will also make a way of escape.

that is not asking that he takes the later option. love is blind but may marraige continue to open your eyes. i am always afraid of these signs and wonders christians. God does not support errors and wickedness dear people. how many scriptures do i need to quote to become a woman? pls let me know.

i listened to a tape called the sure word some years ago and a girl without womb gave birth. her story was that she was upfront about it and many false brothers who were pursueing her as their will of God ran after her telling them she doesn't have womb for child bearing. according to the story God asked this guy all the way from the US to go to nigeria and marry her and when he was told she doesnt have a womb he said God didnt tell Him that but went ahead and married her anyway.

she later concieved normally and gave birth to God's glory. but this doesnt appear to be the case here.

what price truth?

have a good day y'all

the leaders are products of the society. it is the society that is sick and so by default produce all these sick leaders going no where fast. how else can one explain IBB and OBJ ruling again or attempting to come rule. sadly the same sick minds will go vote for him because sick people dont know how to help themselves.

there is hope though. cos things are not going to be like this forever. one day people are going to get tired but i have a fear that it is not this generation of cowards i see today.
Christianity EtcRe: Fornication or Homosexuality, Which is a Greater Sin? by joshjosh(m): 12:07pm On Oct 14, 2005
this sex business is all the result of some pervetted twisted thinking. i grew up living side by side a 48 room brothel so i saw the carnage first hand. of ugly pot bellied bald headed mostly failures and rejects of society turn these girls/ women into commodities to be messed with.

i remember my sisters calling it the sin factory then. fornication and homosexuality are ugly things. one is cheating and taking what is not legitimately yours and the other is basically defilling and spoiling yourself. which ever you enjoy, u are the poorer person for it.

pervetted and twisted minds have no good sence of sound judgement. we live in a world of anything goes and as they say we are not hurting no one. who says. psycosexual deceases, abortion clinics and HIV/AIDS wasted lives are a big drain on our society. thanks to our permissiveness of casual sex we are beginning to see a generation of twenty and thirty something that may never know the joy of being a mother because some one has spoilt the reproductive system with some corrosive chemicals and complication.

in this day of buy now pay later hope some of us are looking into the future to see the nightmares coming to streets and towns near us. if u are not just look at america and europe and fasten your seat belt because thinstle town cannot go into the mind of the diabolical one to show the world what is about to come on a little white screen showing in your city.

good thing happens to those who wait.

i am not any white man hater. i am not a racist. in fact i admire many things about them. half of the people on auntie "BBC" pay roll are on drugs at any one time and are homosexuals. i take whatever they say about these things with a pinch of salt.

they like the police are what we call institutional racist and that is not my opinion but that of LOrd McPherson and his inquiry.

the culture of bozz and drugs amongst the caucasian fuels their promiscuity and not their uncircumcission. high libido for a lady i would imagine is a state of mind rather than clitoral erection or pleasure. give me abused uncircumcised lady and tell me how aroused she was and i will tell you how fulfilled a circumcised lady enjoys being respected and treathed well for the human being she is rather than a sex object.

ok i know some people's brain is between their legs but do we spend 10% of our life time doing sexual things. what about good old love. sex is not what it is cracked up to be my dear brother.

i stand to be corrected though. i am all hears now. have a great day
