TV/MoviesRe: Green Family Wins Maltina Dancehall Season 6 by jossy26: 11:13am On Sep 23, 2012
safarigirl: Maltina Dance All is a hoax. How can voting end 7:45 and winners are announced barely fifteen minutes later? How did they tally the votes? Eghove family really deserved that prize, they brought their A game in every performance, while Green was banking on one member. Even Efiokwu was preferable. Until they end voting at least an hour before the show starts, it will always be a big set-up.
Do you live in the 15th century, how long do you want them to collate votes that is computer aided? How long? If you add a comment on nairaland, how long does it take to count as one comment uploaded. Abeg free Green family jare....they deserve it big time

EducationRe: Best Way To Upgrade Hnd Certificate by jossy26: 5:03am On Sep 19, 2012
JesusDWay: Did u notice it says MTech and not Msc? The two are different and not of the same rating. MTech is more a technological qualification. I think its only SA that has MTech on offer. You can check the structure of education in SA to verify my claims. Even UNISA wont accept you unto an Msc with a BTech certificate, you can check any of their Msc programme for the requirement.

I have researched a lot to be able to get a programme for anyone trying to convert his HND to Bsc in Engineering within a year and which will be affordable, accredited and accepted anywhere. The closest you can have are the ones offered by university of portsmouth which is 3500pounds. There are lots of schools that have top up for for those who want to do business or IT courses but Engineering proper, you don't have much. I've been thinking of India not too long ago, i do believe their education is good and will surely be very affordable but you have to find out if they can allow you start the final year of your programme, of course you may have to travel down there for the programme.
What are d differences between Btech and Bsc or is it Mtech and Msc? Is there Meng too cos there is Beng?

You definitely can use it for your masters in south africa, Nigeria, any where. Check dis - www.unisa.ac.za/Default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=26793&P_XSLFile=unisa/mobi3.xsl
EducationRe: Best Way To Upgrade Hnd Certificate by jossy26: 10:46pm On Sep 16, 2012
JesusDWay: You guys should please not disturb yourself with Unisa, if its a Btech you are intending to do with them, your HND is the same with their Btech. In SA, Btech and Bsc are not rated the same, you cannot be accepted unto a Masters programme in SA with a Btech degree. Don't blindly go and sit on a keg of gunpowder o, because the day relevant authorities will find out, the effect may affect you seriously. I think it used to be called HND before they changed the name in 1991. You may research on this. Thank you
So what's your advice for those going for it or how best do you think it can be upgraded?

BusinessRe: What Business Can One Start With 100k? by jossy26: 8:04pm On Aug 09, 2012
steadybuck: OP , I noticed something about marketing and richard branson confirmed it; "sell people what they WANT not what they need. Once you apply this principle 100k becomes 200k in no time. And 200 becomes 400k really fast.

Ironrod77@mailinator.com
@steadybuck I believe you mean selling to people what they NEED and not WANT. NEED is like food which someone can't do without and WANT is like designer shirts
The OP didn't give us an idea of his/her interest so we could suggest, maybe you should give us an idea of what you have passion for then will bring a bizness out of it
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by jossy26: 5:53pm On Aug 09, 2012
ferdiii: You're right on the 7-year thingy. I know some people who defer this current semester, some take fewer courses and they won't tell why they are spending more years. However, the compulsory fees at the new session is N15,500 (N2,500 for semester activation,N10,000 for ICT & N3,000 for Library),N2,500 for its second semester and don't forget N8,000 (N3,000 for JAMB regularization fee and N5,000 for results verification) to be paid at 400level. Admission is on in every semester, NO UTME, YES O'level. You mainly gonna study on your own.

After May/June 2012 exams, I would have done 4 semesters and do my final and 5th thereafter for a four course that I started 2009. BSc Computer Science involves 125 units (They say it is 120 but I have 125 core units in my portal) to graduate but I would amass 131 units (I took three 2-unit elective courses)-coming from 9 Math courses, 5 Physics courses, 5 GST courses and the rest are CIT courses totaling 55 courses. I must have officially spent N250,000 by NOV/DEC 2012 graduation time. This favors those who work but we are still the guinea pigs, those coming after will enjoy more.

I registered 15 courses this semester, although no exam on one-it is IT (industrial Attachment) and my last semester houses 11 courses that I won't do exams on three (IT phase2,Seminar & Project). That semester will gulp N60,000. Am off now for my TMAs. Yeah you do TMAs four times against a course. I hope they add the 30% nominal value to our final grades this time.
Hello Ferdi, pls I want to confirm if someone with a science background can be given admission for Bsc in entrepreneuship and business management? And also can someone take more courses per semester, so as to finish say like in 3yrs?

livapul86: Guy, you just spoke my mind. If he indeed spoke those words, most Sane and Sincere investors would seriously Think Twice before coming to the Country. We are already under the yoke of massive unemployment, the investors that should Remedy the situation are being Scared off. Each day I ask God of all countries in the world to be born in, Why should it be Nigeria? I taya!
My guy, forget that thing, who says other investors would not come, the size of the Nigerian market is very appealing, if Richard doesn't want to play the politics, others will

I am definitely not in support of the corrupt politicians but enviromental scanning is one major thing to do before embarking on the journey

Too many tribalistic bigots on NL these days, its so disheartening to see a thread moving well and will be derailed totally by just a silly and stupid comment from someone...shows the level of reasoning of an average Nigerian. We definitely can't develop like this.
