But at the same time,manner of approach matters a lot. Last week I got so angry with a tenant who refused to pay rent since December 2019 simply cos he's moving to the new house he built. Despite the fact that we collect almost the cheapest in the area. He lied to me in July that he was so broke that he would just look for a room n parlour or just a room apartment. I felt so sorry n even started praying for him only for me to to be told by someone close to him that he's actually building a house around. Haba! I felt bad cos he lied to me but but felt happy that at least he would move to his own house from our house. I kept reminding him of his rent n he kept lying. The day he was supposed to renew for the second year he's owing I reminded him only for him to pay in just one seventh of his rent. When I called to tell him he only sent one seventh of his rent,he said "Is it not money" "Aren't u supposed to be happy that I paid part at all?" That was when I started I got so angry that I said things I wasn't supposed to say to him.
We were supposed to get a lawyer but felt there was no need I remember reminding him we have an aged mother we need the proceed for in Sept only for him to say "ehn shey you will take me to court?" Whereas the judicial system is not encouraging as it may drag on for years cos u may be wondering why he was not taken to Court like he demanded. Well he later paid another one seventh n now to balance one fifth. Still waiting as I learnt he wished to spend the Christmas in his new house

That was how I would have died with a lady I went with to Carlcare at 5,Oba Ajra. Ikeja some years ago. Had gone there to repair my phone when I saw a man sitting by the lift. I asked if it was in good order. He told me it was n we entered. Was told the office was on a particular floor av forgotten say 2nd floor. The door closed n i pressed the no of the floor I was going. The lift didn't move. I tried several times and it still refused to move There was no AC ,it was hot. Tayo who entered a lift for the first time had started shaking. Was almost saying my last prayer when I decided to press the button for 3rd floor. Luckily it moved n we got to third floor n had to come down to second floor. When I told the staff what we experienced,they said it's faulty n it's used for carrying load only. I thank God for his fatherly protection. He is surely a good father as we could have died in that lift.

This is too harsh. Haba!!! Peaceful protest would have been appreciated.

That was how a man in my area divorced his wife too,a beautiful Calabar lady. He's based in the US while the woman was based in Nigeria. He was always coming after the marriage like twice in a year n was preparing her documents to join him. While in the flat they stayed together she was always bringing a man she called her pastor home. Pastor would stay over night for vigil with her n atimes ppl would hear them praying and casting out the demon. Then her chamber blocked n the landlord had to call a plumber,lo and behold it was filled with condom. So it was condom that blocked the chamber. Her neighbours watching the plumber left one after the other. Sure one of them must have hinted the husband. I was there when he came to say he was no longer interested in the marriage. She then told him to go to the village to inform her ppl. That kind of woman could give birth to bastards n even end up killing her husband to cover up this so it's better she's allowed to go as it's in her blood n may find it difficult to change.
