Take out time to read section 230 to 236 of the 1999 constitution. I have said it repeatedly and u are refusing to listen or u are intentionally biased.

The job of the courts is to interpret the Law and Section 1 of the 1999 constitution clearly states that where any Law is inconsistent with the constitution, such law is void.

By the way, in the judgement, what the SC said that the then CBN Governor didn’t follow the procedure as laid out in the CBN Act. The court never usurped the power of the CBN.

Very unconstitutional, firstly for the supreme court give itself the jurisdiction to hear the case , even though the case was never heard at a lower court. secondly Supreme court has no power to dictate monetary policy to the CBN.

No more comment… it’s obvious u are not a lawyer. For the records, the Supreme Court has original jurisdiction on matters between states and the federal government which was what happened in the matter. So no lower court can entertain such matter. I rest my case.

First Supreme court order technically was against the FG and not the CBN which is independent of the FG, secondly the order was unconstitutional as the Supreme court effectively mandate itself to make monetary policy.

Hmmmm…a judgement of the court remains THE INTERPRETATION OF ANYLAW irrespective of any intellectual or emotional analysis. In a situation where it’s the Supreme Court that gives a judgement, that is FINAL. Such judgement can only be remedied by subsequent legislation or the Supreme Court in another case correcting itself. So u are wrong to say the judgement of the Supreme Court is unconstitutional.
