1. IOM stated that 40Kg baggage allowance is allowed for each adult and children, is this separate from hand luggage that can been put in the luggage compartment of the plane. Is the 40kg written on your ticket? Or in IOM's email? As this baggage allowance from IOM is lesser than the (23kgx2)pieces stated on the Emirates website. Pls confirm.

Meanwhile, to your query, in addition to checked baggage, you still have 7kg hand luggage for sure

Lol, i think it might raise flags if DIPB realises that your experience has been reduced, yet you still went ahead to claim them. You can still verify from those with better knowledge.

That was what I understood from his post too. However what I gleened from following this thread is that you could assess experience with EA and decide not to claim experience with DIBP. In this case, no employment/ experience verification will be done by DIBP leading to a faster outcome during visa application. Of course, 20pts from language test will be non-negotiable.

I would like anyone to clarify please because it makes economic sense not assessing experience with EA if I could still claim points for experience with DIBP. In fact, why would anyone wanna assess experience sef?
But then, how would an experience based CDR be verified without paying fee for experience assessment. Obviously confused abi? Ehn, help clear that area biko. Thanks.

Just as the case is with DIBP, is it applicable to the assessing bodies too? I mean if one doesn't intend to claim points from experience, would VETASSES for instance bother with employment verification? My spouse has 5.5years of experience but 5years out of it isn't at the required skill level. So we are wondering if we should chill till she's one year (VETASSES Requirement) in the position that is at the required skill level or we could just round it up and submit soon.

Please clarify your second answer ....because I don't have much to spend on skill assessment. Event though, I really need to claim this work experience point since Mech needs 70pt to get ITA.
So, if it means assessing it first with EA before claiming it, I will do that. If not assessing it will still make me claim it ,ahh better(money saved).

I personally believe IELTS and TOEFL are easier than PTE. Though I have not done PTE before but I prefer to interact with human than a coded robot..
