phostrogen is a liquid fertilizer or plant food made by Bayer,it has NPK(14-10-27)we discovered that using Haifa bonus NPK(20-20-20) from 28 days up causes excessive foliage instead of flowers and fruit because of its high N content,so we switch over to phostrogen with lower N and higher K for more fruits from 28 days.

total number of sacks is 506 bags,the spacing is not much considering that we are using phostrogen fertilizer on it so we are expecting an explosion of foliage and lateral shoots.

actara satchet is 20 or 50 gram I am not too sure but one actara satchel is for one knapsack,ridomil is 250 gram,50 gram for one knapsack,so you divide it into 5 equal parts if u don't have scale,wormforce is 2 grams per planting hole of 2 crops,one packet is 1kg-1000 grams do the maths,saaf is 250 grams,2.5 gram per knapsack,u divide it into 10 equal parts.

oga okoroemeka, pls sir are saying when planting d cukes seed inside d hole we need to add not only cuke seed and manure but we equal need to add wormforce inside the planting hole along with seed and manure to help address d nematode. Is it so? Thanks

in the rainy we use ridges because it prevents waterlogging and gives good drainage,and we also have our knapsack ready and systemic fungicide to battle downy mildew and angular leaf spot the enemies during the wet periods.in dry season we dig holes to retain the water that will be used to irrigate the crops,it also prevents manure and soil additives being washed off by force of water pressure,we also have our knapsack ready to battle the insects and pests that are the enemies during dry season.

use small artist brush,pluck one male flower put brush in the flower and rub it gently inside the female flower transferring the pollen,one male flower will pollinate 10 or more females,very stressing spray boiled sugar it will attract many sugar loving insects that will help in pollination.

if you apply inorganic fertilizer every 4 days it may burn the stems in this hot weather,but best way to apply inorganic fertilizer now is foliar feeding it is zero harmful to crops,they absorb it quicker and it contains micro/macro nutrients, we can spray it at 4 days intervals for mega yields.

this is our manure treatment vat,we put fresh poultry litter put water,leave for 3 day and u have a thick,slurry,smelly organic fertilizer on steroids.

@op, pls sir, u mean after 3 days in which u mixed fresh manure with water leaf u started using d manure. If yes.. Pls sir can u expatiate on it. Thanks

Partially true and false. The pods I harvested are from ugu plants running into their second year now. I have had to cut and cut over and over again but stopped when I needed the pods. Nevertheless, cutting does affect seed pod production both in size and quantity produced per plants. So once you are set and ready to get seed pods from your ugu plants, you stop cutting, or you probably just cut your plants for about 2months before leaving it for pods.

In summary, it all depends on the aspect of ugu farming you want to go into; either SEED PRODUCTION or LEAVE PRODUCTION. If you want seeds, you can as well leave it alone and let it grow wild.
