Nice write up.
Let me add this:

A. When the jobs start coming in, don't underprice yourself.
Your knowledge is gold.

B. Seek knowledge daily, there is room for advancement.

As for me, I started programming in 2006, now, I'm thinking of retirement. I've paid my due, no more hard labour. Glory to God

The world has gone past the era of looking for full time jobs with physical office presence.
We're in the era of freelancing. Sharpen your skills & join the relevant freelance website to earn income.

You need to stop complaining about situations beyond your control, or is it your fault?

The first step to success is self confidence.
Secondly, always try to have many sources of income, don't always quit one job to look for another. Find a way to make money from several sources.

The garden of Eden is supplied by four rivers (income) and not one river.
Do you understand me?

Career / Re: Dairy Of A Web Designer by julybaba(m): 9:59am On Jul 28, 2021
The web space is majorly open source, there is nothing that can't be pirated.

I believe that your "source code" is a fragment of other people's source code, the end game is to make money from your efforts & knowledge.

Web designing is like mixing recipes & condiments from various sources to make a good meal. In the cyberspace, you own nothing, but you can earn from everything.

In peroration, I will advice you to narrow down your niche, as web designing is vast and broad.

Politics / Don't Ever Curse Your Country by julybaba(m): 4:49pm On Mar 24, 2021
DON'T EVER CURSE YOUR COUNTRY

1. If you don't know how you are blessed, you will think your father's farm is worse than your friend father's farm.

2. $1 is ₦500 and so what?

3. Let me elucidate from my little experience. Can anyone in the US use $1 for breakfast? No!

4. But in Nigeria, ₦500 will give you breakfast and lunch.

5.Majority of people's monthly house rent (self contained apartment) in the USA is $1,000 and above... and that is your own 2 year's rent!

6. Have you ever paid for insurance before? Insurance in the US is $280 and that is almost ₦100,000 monthly.

7. When last did you pay monthly phone bills? I pay almost ₦40,000 monthly and if I don't, they are going to block my SIM. Your own MTN can be there for months without recharge.

8. When last did you work on Saturday and Sunday?

9. This I do compulsorily and on regular basis.

10. Don't get me wrong, the US is better than Nigeria, depending on which angle you are viewing it.

11. Do you want to hear the truth?

12. Many people in Nigeria live a more fulfilling life compared to their counterparts abroad.

13. Forget about all the packaging on social media and give credit to the good life you are living.

14. Do you know why Nigerians living in the US always rush back quickly whenever they come home visiting?

15. Because bills are counting and elongated absence (freedom) will put their lives in jeopardy.

16. If you, as a black person, attempt to emulate the whites, they will kneel on your neck.

17. Apart from Congo, no citizens in the entire universe enjoy life to the fullest than Nigerians.

18. You are abundantly blessed but you don't know until you get visa and relocate abroad, that is when you will know that your 8-hour job in Nigeria with free weekend is awoof.

19. With 8-hour job abroad, you can only pay bills, you need other 6 to 8 hours jobs to save for the future and plan your life.

20. The truth is that the grass is green everywhere, it's lack of vision greed of our leaders/politicians and the skewed religious practices (which placed emphasis on miracles) that ascended Nigeria onto a myopic tentacle of complete standstill.

21. Always thank God wherever you may find yourself. Nigeria is good and will be better.

22. God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Programming / The Ethics Of Hacking (what To Do & What Is Forbidden) by julybaba(m): 9:20am On Feb 18, 2021
The Initial or Pre-existing Ethic

Back when computers just started to reach universities and colleges and students had access to use computer systems, curious users began to show a certain disregard for the pre-existing rules.

These users would enter sections of the system without authorization, gaining access to privileged or elevated resources. With no Internet and no copies of Hacking Exposed or Security Warrior to assist them, they had to figure out how to enter the systems on their own.

Although these young students represented the first hackers, they had no malicious intent; they simply wanted knowledge, information, a deeper understanding of the systems which they had access to.

To justify and eventually distinguish their efforts, the hacking community developed The Hacker Ethic as a core part of their subculture. The Hacker Ethic states two basic principles:

-Do no damage.
-Make no one pay for your actions.

These two principles fall hand in hand. The original hackers had an intention to learn about the systems they invaded, not to destroy them or steal valuable confidential information.
They wanted to know how they worked, their flaws, their strengths, interesting functions of their design. They had no authorization; at the time, they made up for this by making a point of neither interfering with anyone's work nor costing anyone any money in the process of exploring the system. Unfortunately this mantra does not provide a fully effective cover for your actions.

Even disregarding the legal ramifications, such as the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986, your actions will have devastating unintentional consequences if not carefully controlled. Robert Morris created the Morris Worm to gauge the size of the Internet harmlessly; unfortunately, it loaded down the systems it infected due to exponential re-infection, causing tens of millions of dollars of financial damage.
You must always remember to carefully consider the short and long term impact of your actions on any system.

Modern or Today’s Ethic…
Today we need to add one more rule to The Hacker Ethic, a rule that we should have added long ago.

The Morris Worm illustrates why this rule exists, even beyond legality.
-Always get permission ahead of time.
-Please remember to always get permission before acting. Your actions cause a major disruption to the targets you attack. Networks become slow, servers crash or hang, and you create spurious log entries.

Any institution with a useful IA sector will notice your attack and panic, believing you to have malicious intent; they will invariably expend resources searching for back doors and trying to determine what confidential information you stole. All of this, even if you don’t get caught, demands that you acquire permission ahead of time.

You always have authorization to hack into servers you own. In all other cases, you need to ask the owners of the machines for authorization; you can even ask them to pay for it, selling your services as penetration tests and giving them a comprehensive outline of their network’s vulnerabilities and proper mitigation steps to improve their security. As long as you have permission ahead of time, and you remember the first two rules of The Hacker Ethic, you can do as you please with the network and the affected machines.

The Prerequisite Knowledge.
Some background knowledge that is required to begin learning are as follows:
1. Knowledge of a computer's inner hardwares and what they do, like the CPU and RAM chips
2. Programming experience. A good knowledge of C, C+, Phython, Java etc
3. A desire to learn new things and lots of motivation and resilence to keep going.

Since then, I've worked under different designations:
Secretary, Pharmacy Technicians, Teacher etc.

What I just discovered is that, the easiest way to succeed in life is to discover and develop your talent / area of strength.
Now, I don't have to rely solely on salary. My talent is feeding me

Family / Re: I Dislike My Small Stature by julybaba(m): 10:32pm On Nov 27, 2020
Venerealisles:
So this year my family decided we were gonna come back to naija early for the Xmas celebrations, we also wanted to do Thanksgiving in Nigeria hence the early arrival.

Well, we were back home in Lag, so I decided to go hang out with some of my long time friends, and what I saw shocked me ooh. They were really big now, felt like they were way older than me. angry To make matters worst, I senior them pretty damn well, but my tiny physique just makes them think otherwise. embarassed

The last straw that broke the camel back was when I went over to my cousin's place, only for my Aunt to start saying stuffs like "I look like a toothpick" she even went as far as saying I should start eating enough beans!! Chaii I have suffered .

I will be 25 by December, but yet most people I come across still think I am a teenager, Little did they know that the so called teenager is the owner of a business in Lagos and also a degree holder.

Inspite of my achievements, I feel what they are saying is beginning to get to me, i can't change the way I look, if I could, I'd probably add more height to my physique grin.
Maturity is not by stature, but by comportment.
Happy birthday in Advance, you are my birthday mate.
