Treatment of kleptomania typically involves the following Medications: There’s little scientific research about using psychiatric medications to treat kleptomania. There is no Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved medication for kleptomania. However, certain medications may help, depending on the situation and other mental health disorders, such as depression or substance misuse. An addiction medication called naltrexone, an opioid antagonist, may reduce the urges and pleasure associated with stealing. An antidepressant, specifically a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Psychotherapy: A form of psychotherapy called cognitive behavioral therapy helps the person identify unhealthy, negative beliefs and behaviors and replace them with healthy, positive ones. Cognitive behavioral therapy may include these techniques to help the person control their kleptomania urges. Covert sensitization, in which the person pictures themselves stealing and then facing negative consequences, such as being caught. Aversion therapy, in which the person practices mildly painful techniques, such as holding their breath until they become uncomfortable when they get an urge to steal. Systematic desensitization, in which a person practices relaxation techniques and pictures themselves controlling urges to steal. Avoiding relapses: It’s not unusual to have relapses of kleptomania. To help avoid relapses, the person needs to be sure to stick to ther treatment plan. If they feel urges to steal, they should contact their mental health professional or reach out to a trusted person or support group. |

JackDaAlienz:American laws are not crazy, it is founded on the foundation of justice & respect for lives. He needs to prove his innocence, if he is truly innocent. I believe the justice system over there will give him fair hearing. |
JackDaAlienz:Has it been established that he is complicit in the death of the old lady? Did he prescribe the drugs, or dispensed the drugs based on the woman's doctor's prescription? Did he dispense expired drugs or ? Answers to these questions will determine his fate. He may go scout free or land in jail. No matter what happens, he'll be fine. I know a lot of people who exiled to better countries and were able to reach their full potential there. Emigration is NOT a crime. You have the right to live in any country as long as you are welcomed. However, there is no place like home (if you believe so). |

Sorry for your past travails. Forget about past pains, so you can move forward. I once worked for someone like that, who always find excuses to short pay me. I calculated my steps & discard him after I received my wages. Most boss-worker relationship in this part of the world is like master-slave relationship. Some boss may complain of Tax, cost of production etc, but that is not a tenable reason to short pay your employees. If you can't pay them, then let them go. |
In December 2003, Joyce Vincent died of an apparent asthma attack in her North London apartment. The television stayed on. The mail continued to be delivered. Her rent was set up to be automatically deducted from her bank account. Days passed and no one realized that she had passed away. Those days turned into weeks and weeks into months. There were large dumpsters on the side of the building next to his unit, so the neighbors never gave much thought to the smell emanating from his apartment. The floor was full of noisy children and teenagers and no one questioned the constant hum of TV noise in the background. Finally, Joyce's bank account dried up. Her landlord sent her collection letters. These cards, like the others, simply fell into the piles scattered on her floor. They received no response. Finally, with more than six months of back rent, the landlord obtained a court order to forcibly remove her from the premises. The bailiffs broke down the door and it was only then that her body was discovered. By then, it was January 2006, more than two years after her death. At that time, no one ever came looking for Joyce Vincent. No family, no friends, no coworkers, no neighbors knocking on the door to see if everything was okay. Nobody called. Nobody signed up. She was 38 years old when she died. This story is amazing for its social implications. It feels incomprehensible that whole years go by without anyone noticing that a person has died. However, these kinds of stories happen frequently. Chances are you've seen a story similar to Joyce Vincent's. And they are all the same. A person lives alone. They lose contact with family and friends. They never know their neighbors. They remain locked up with their television or computer for years. The world moves on as if they were no longer there until one day they are no more.

Here's Why The Market Is Dipping The past few weeks have been something right? The crypto market has seen several dips, and it's alright if you are feeling a little worried. I know how it feels. I thought I’d check in to see how you’re doing and shed some light on the market. Now, to the good stuff. This is going to be a long read, but it’ll be worth it. What’s Been Going On? In the past month, the entire crypto market has lost over $1 trillion in market cap. Bitcoin has also dropped to around $20,000 - the first time since December, 2020 You might be asking, “Why is this happening?” Well, there are several reasons: 1. The Global Economy Isn’t Great The stock market has struggled this year. The shares of Apple, Meta (Facebook), and Amazon have fallen by 24%, 52%, and 39% respectively since the start of 2022. So, it’s not just happening in crypto. 2.Fed Policies Heard about the Federal Reserve? The “Fed” is basically the United States’ central bank. It first increased interest rates in March, and it did so again this week. Let me explain this in simple English. During COVID, the Fed printed a lot of money ($16 trillion) and gave it out to keep the economy alive. Now, all of that money is chasing the same goods in the market and because people aren’t making more new stuff (goods and services) quickly enough, supply hasn’t increased. So sellers raised prices, and everything is now more expensive. In Economics, we call this inflation. How Does the Fed's Policies Affect You? Obviously, the Fed doesn’t like this because the economy will be affected. So, they’re now trying to reduce prices. To do this, they’re taking the money back from people by raising interest rates. This way, people have less money to spend on items and supply can catch up with demand. Over time, prices are expected to balance up ⚖️. How does it affect you? Ideally it shouldn’t. But, when it comes to money, the U.S’s headache eventually affects everyone. As they say, when the when America sneezes, the world catches a cold. Right now, America has a huge fever. 3.The Terra Crash Now, let’s talk about the things that started shaking the market. Last month, the Terra ecosystem suffered a terrible breakdown. Terra’s LUNA token lost 99% of its value, and its supposed UST algorithm stablecoin lost its peg against the dollar. Meaning that 1 UST was no longer 1 USD. 4.Celsius Stops Withdrawals Besides Terra, there’s also the Celcius issue. Celsius is one of the most popular lending tools in the crypto space. They announced on Sunday that they’d pause withdrawals and swaps on the platform. When the Celsius announcement came out, investors were understandably concerned and since then, the market has taken another slide. So, What Should You Do? Right now, traditional investment assets like stocks have also been affected by the global economy, and crypto hasn’t been left out, but market downturns are often the times the perfect periods to invest. This might just be the time you have been waiting for. Imagine you bought Bitcoin when it was around $2,000 in 2017. Well, this could be your opportunity. Here's A Possible Tip To Beat Inflation It's also fine to be careful right now and for that you may want to consider Tether (USDT), USDC or BUSD ⚖️ - especially, if you hold a weak currency like the Naira that's easily affected by inflation. So, whether you’d like to buy the dip or hold dollars , crypto has something for you. I know it’s been a wild ride recently, but I know there’s light at the end of the tunnel. You can't build something tangible on nothing. HTML , CSS , JS & PHP are the foundation of web programming. Just as Java is the foundation of mobile programming. However, you don't need to learn every language to "communicate". The ultimate goal is to achieve your result. Also, there are different ways of getting things done. Nonetheless, if you have a good grasp of this foundational languages, you won't fret when it's time to upgrade your knowledge with a new language. |

The truth is that your contacts “safely stored in your mobile phone” which you used in downloading the loan app and securing the lending from the app platform, is actually “your collateral and guarantee for loan repayment.” If you want to apply for a loan and you do not have any contact in your phone, I can assure you that no lending app in Nigeria will approve your request. You cannot stop loan apps from accessing your phone contacts, after you have borrowed money from them. Your phone contacts will immediately be downloaded safely on the loan app’s external database against your name, BVN and other profile details and even though you later delete or uninstall the loan app, it makes no difference. You stand in their mercy. If you are a software developer, you will understand how android apps permission works. Also, most of us don't read privacy policy & Terms of use before installing apps. If you are a defaulter just know that, they have MULTIPLE ways of getting their money back. Calling/SMSing your guarantors & contacts is the least they can do. They can write to your bank to blacklist your BVN. They can also auto-debit or even request freeze on your accounts. I'm sorry, the world has no pity for debtors. |
WFMarket:Do you have the shared hosting details? What is the website address? |
First of all, the "website" you "built" is called Portfolio website and not Freelance website. Please take note. I will rate your portfolio website 2/10. Why? 1. You didn't stick with a colour scheme. 2. It is not responsive. 3. SEO rating is poor 4. Graphics are poorly designed etc. My advice. 1. Use a tested & flexible CMS like WordPress, you'll save yourself a lot of stress. Search for a nice "Portfolio Theme" and populate with your project details. You also mentioned that you are not making a reasonable income from your knowledge in web & app development. Well, you need to learn web/app content marketing. Having knowledge is not enough, you need to understand how to convert your knowledge to profit. Don't target Nigeria market please. |
One of the main causes of tribalism is stereotyping people because they belong to a tribe, or have a belief. Stereotypes are generalisations about a culture or religion and the people or devout of such culture or religion. As we all know, every generalisation is a fallacy. Firstly, I will share some stereotypes of my people. Some of those include 1. Yoruba people are dirty 2. Nobody parties like a Yoruba man 3. The Yorubas are miserly 4. Yoruba men are promiscuous etc. I sometimes get offended when I hear these, but what can I do? I'm used to it now. Can people unlearn bad habits? Can people understand the fact that every generalisation is a fallacy? OK ooo. What are those stereotypes you've heard people say about your religion, culture or tradition that you found offensive & insulting? Please share them.

Good day everyone. This post is not meant to castigate anyone. Please don't use this post/thread as a medium to propagate misogynistic ideas. The information shared here is for educational & health purposes only. Ladies, can you share your experiences with makeups? Do you think they have beneficial effects (on the skin) at all? If yes, Kindly enlighten us. Thanks. Dear Moderators, please take this to front page, for informed responses. ______________________________________________________________ Makeup is something generally thought of as making you look pretty, but did you know there are many reasons you shouldn’t wear makeup? It’s true, and you can still look gorgeous by letting your natural and inner beauty shine. That said, there are many people out there who think makeup is the only way you can be beautiful. This may come down to personal opinion, but from what I have found to be true for most people, makeup is not a good thing. Here are some surprising reasons you shouldn’t wear makeup, especially if you have acne-prone skin. 1. It Can Cause Acne And Allergic Reactions 2. You Are Covering Up Blemishes Instead Of Fixing Them 3. You Aren’t Necessarily Embracing Your True Self 4. Many Products Are Full Of Chemicals 5. It Consumes Too Much Time 6. It Costs A Lot Of Money. 1. IT CAN CAUSE ACNE AND ALLERGIC REACTIONS Most types of makeup are highly allergenic and contain many ingredients that shouldn’t be put on skin. Ingredients such as sodium benzoate, propylene glycol, and anything ending in "acid" have been known to cause allergies in sensitive individuals. Even if you don’t have sensitive skin, you may have a reaction over time from excessive exposure. As if these weren’t enough reasons you shouldn’t wear makeup, did you know makeup can actually cause acne? Applying makeup actually clogs your pores, creating more acne than what you were trying to hide. If you treat the acne instead of hiding it, you won’t be creating a worse situation. 2. YOU ARE COVERING UP BLEMISHES INSTEAD OF FIXING THEM. I already established that you are actually making your acne situation worse by wearing makeup. This means you are certainly not allowing it to heal! All you are doing is hiding what is inevitably there and even creating more acne. This goes against the philosophy of your body’s ability to heal itself, because you are not getting to the root cause of the acne. That is why it’s so important that you try to find the true cause of your blemishes instead of trying to cover them up. 3. YOU AREN’T NECESSARILY EMBRACING YOUR TRUE SELF. There are many women in the world who do not have great self-esteem. You may think that wearing makeup would make you more accepting of yourself, but the opposite is true. This is because you aren’t accepting your natural beauty, just the makeup. I will admit that some women feel more confident wearing makeup, but it is still not helping you love yourself, flaws and all. The point is you should try and show yourself more forgiveness, instead of covering up a part of yourself. Embrace yourself! 4. MANY PRODUCTS ARE FULL OF CHEMICALS. If you ever read the back of a makeup container, you will find a huge list of unidentifiable ingredients. Or, maybe you will find no ingredients list at all! This is a warning sign because if the ingredients list isn’t readily available, do you think the company is proud of the ingredients they put in there? Probably not. The product is likely loaded with chemicals, parabens, and carcinogens that you don’t want to be putting on the largest organ of your body, your skin. 5. IT CONSUMES TOO MUCH TIME. There are some people I know who spend an hour every morning on their beauty routine. They think every piece of their makeup has to look "perfect" before they are presentable enough to go out. This is just plain ridiculous, because imagine how much more productive you can be without wasting this much time! You will have 365 more hours every year to spend time with your kids before school in the morning, make a healthy breakfast, or even sleep in. These options sound a lot more meaningful to your health and life in the end than applying makeup. 6. IT COSTS A LOT OF MONEY. What is the point of buying makeup when you can be spending that money on something else? If you really think about it, makeup can cost a lot of money! In fact, the average woman spends about =N=150,000 a year on makeup. Even if it is cheap, you still have to be cautious because it is probably poor quality and loaded with chemicals. It is so much easier just to let your skin breathe without pore-clogging makeup, if you ask me.
