Why does it seem like the Yorubas and Igbos are the only tribes who are always squabbling here?

Why does it seem like the Yorubas bear animosity towards the Igbos but the other tribes don't?

Why is it that on any thread concerning a crime involving an Igbo man or Igbo land, the Yorubas will take over the entire front page castigating the entire Igbo tribe but you hardly see same on threads concerning Yorubas?

The Yorubas are the only tribe I've seen here who wish the total decimation of any other tribe, why is it so? I've not seen any Northern leader threaten to throw people from other tribes into the lagoon.

After realizing I needed UI skills, I took some course, I think I know the basics, tell me what you feel about my portfolio redesigned.

I also built a Nairaland clone, though I'm still working on it, it's like 30% backend, built with node( express), front end is pure react, I scrapped data from the Nairaland frontpage and some other pages like the front pages content, I hope they won't block it but the section/topic pages are from newsapi api's.

2. Integrate Recaptcha on the contact page (snotat . com/contact) to prevent spam entries.

3. The text colour (white) is currently conflicting with the background image. You can change it to black or change the background image so the text can be better readable.

Second, let me review your nairaland clone.

1. You show a good data scrapping effort.
2. If you plan to make the clone a formidable project, you need to work on the UI.
You can look at the possibility of using bootstrap to argument the frontend & backend designs.

I remembered when I started programming around 2007. I started with HTML.
What actually enticed me was <marquee direction> tag. I was captivated when I saw a colleague run the tag on IE.

I decided to find more tags and see what they do. Very interesting.

When I got tired of HTML, I downloaded a PDF book on PHP (500 pages) and printed it out.
I kept studying it and forming notes from it. It took me three months to get to the last chapter. I decided not to quit. The progression was slow, but my mind was made up.

ok so i want to learn python for my own self, not employment purposes but i would love to build my own brand myself and create my own programs to build software for say my astrology or electrocardiology ventures etc etc. now i have been watching the video on youtube and it is pretty much easy but vast. now in the program the guy writes all these programs with the text editor and it appears on the python program screen eg print ( " hello world " ) etc etc, and then he builds a program ( lets say its a 15 line program ) but he never really shows the frontend finished product. am assuming writing these programs is the backend. so i guess my question is twofold

1- how do you convert this backend of programs to what you see on the frontend. how does a website appear from a bunch of written programs. What is that process. ok so i have laid out the programs, how do i convert it into a website
2-is it fair to say only python can be used to build applications from start to finish without engaging other things ( like java cplus plus etc etc ) because i am absolutely not interested in learning anything else yet i would love to build applications with just python

I believe python is overrated. It's GUI is unstructured.
However, You can use it for:
i. Network Penetration Testing.
ii. Data Science & Machine Learning.
III. Data Scraping

Whatever you want to use it for, just be prepared to learn

Note: I'm going to change the OS from windows to a light weight Linux distro hoping to make things faster

The main issue will be speed.

16GB ram won't make much difference since the processor is 4th Gen.

If you can get 10th gen Core i3, it's better than 4th gen core i5.

You need a processor speed throttled at 3.2Ghz (minimum) to enjoy programming with some softwares like VS, Android Studios, Unity, Constructs etc.

Sometimes when you have a "beautiful idea", try to bring it to life really quick and patent it.

As a programmer, you don't have to steal ideas to succeed.
In fact you don't have to create a new framework or tools. What you need is the ability to identify "missing links", & "artistic implementation of existing technology ".

what's the nature of the "PERMANENT" job? Is it private or government job? If it is private, then it is not permanent.
Also, for the "PERMANENT" job, 1000 Naira/day * 5days * 4weeks = 20,000 Naira/month. 75,000 Naira - 20,000Naira = 55,000 Naira
Please Note, It is not likely that she will receive the whole 75k at the end of the month. Some business owners do deduct tax, insurance, etc.

In short, I will advise her to go for the Two-year contract job, so she can save enough to start something worthwhile.
