bespokeset: It's said, ask and you shall receive. So I have this GSD / Rot mix. He's a lovely dog but I love your desire and zeal. You can have him at your earliest convenience. I feel a tug in my heart as I let go of this dog. Infact I'll have queries from my household but it's OK.
It's a very alert and dedicated pup. 4+ months. Lovely coat as you may have noticed. Athletic and very agile. It understands basic commands... sit, no, out. It's had very good nutrition. All Dewormings and vaccinations are up to date and has omega 3 oil capsules 3 times a week. Consider him for security training if you can. thanks a lot really nice dog I will surely create a diary for him and those of yu that love him thank yu I love him too |

jayned: Actually, it's all about the fur/hair and the genes too. Cos my feeding is practically basic nothing out of the ordinary.
Since Isis's Arion finished, I have been feeding her bingo (though I was advised not to) I also feed her what I feed my older dog's (corn, groundnut, fish mill mixture) just a bit though.
When she took ill her constant food was raw eggs at most 3 a day. Some days, she would have just 2. Got canned food as well but she ate that just once and lost interest.
I also noticed that regular washing of her bowl helps her eat more. Meanwhile, I feed her just twice a day and she always has clean water. can yu pls help me with the detailed nutritional information of binggo dog food yu can just snap and upload here thanks. |

bespokeset: So I had talked with my Vet who handles my canines and he stated that first deworming should be at 2 weeks. So google is also my friend and I confirmed that. So I went along. In fact I forgot to mention that the dam also had a deworming. From my research worms are part of a pups growing so the essence is not to allow parasitic worms feed off your pup. Like I always do I get second opinions and double check. On deworming week 2..3 is the way to start. I'm open to superior logic and knowledge though but so far in my research (google) and Vet advice it's OK to start at week 2. nice |

olisafincy: Guy lock up that dog in darkness for three months and believe me bro when he is out from the dark cage e go bloody the fear will vanish. Talking from experience, a neighbours dog acted like your dog at age of 6months then i was locked up with a chain for three months and almost on his 1yr birthday it was brought out ma guy i felt the strength and energy that has stored in him, it became aggressive and pulled whenever they walk him and nobody dears passing near him when he is out. It bit up to 12 persons in just two months. A GSD for that matter cuts the chain anytime it gets upset. Your lazy dog will turn a beast if you adopt this practice. I just have to wake up this post olisafincy 12 person's in 2months? |

Mckandre: I've never heard where 2weeks old pup get dewormed and to even think of administering it every 2weeks is insane. shouldn't it be done when they re atlist 6weeks old? brother no use ur hand kill ur puppies in one of Prodeegee post here in NL and same article on his blog and others I have read I think deworming at 2weeks and there after every 2weeks till about 12weeks ain't bad and don't forget his (OP) vet(who happens to be a professional and should know best) did the deworming.

bespokeset: So I'm studying these pups. This one stands out for one thing. I call it PROTESTER. Forever keeps protesting in that puppy squeal/ bark when trying to sleep, feed, or another pup lies on top of it or is hand held (with gloves of course) for too much time for it's liking. It will protest artificial feeding with SMA baby milk, squealing all the way. Just has a grumpy attitude. why not squealer |

bespokeset: Okay so I've read your diary. I enjoyed it too. You're in Delta I gather. So I also notice you'd prefer to go to your trusted friend rather than a vet. It's worked well for you but I'm not sure how that will work out with a breed that is not local. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against local breeds. To each his own I believe. So I'm thinking can you take food care of a good quality pup. For memories sake you'd have to commit to maintaining a diary of that pup for two years. I am considering giving you a gsd pup or a 4 month + plus gsd rot mix. My thinking cap is on. am glad you enjoyed it and yes am in delta going to see my friend will not be the case always and ehn I know foreign breeds are not like our local breed and require more health care but I wouldn't for any reason refuse to take my dog(local or foreign) to a vet if need be as there are some functions I know only a vet can carry out so am not against taking a dog to a vet and maintain a forever diary will not be a problem and pls keep yur thinking cap on thanks although I would have preferred the GSD pup but I don't think am in a position to choose so anyone one would do. thanks |

okikiosibodu: Apology to be considered, until we see her pics I was once on you in a dilemma of choosing one among the exact breeds you mentioned. Coincidentally, I eliminated the Cauc for the exact reason... Grooming. If the cropping is not done properly too, I might not love the dog. I eliminated Boerboels cos many in Nigeria here are not close to what a real Boerboel is in terms of conformity. The pedigree ones that are close to it are quite expensive. Now the once that really conform, will almost buy 2plots of land . I gave it a thorough thought and eliminated Rotts and Bbs cos of their huge appetite. Malnois and Dutch shepherd would have been a great choice but their size and weight is a big turn off to me, same with Dobermen (as I love to call them). I can even dream of leaving a Pit bull with my family when I travel, no matter how gentle in temperament the dog is. One of my aims in getting a GSD which I financially settled for, is figuring out how to unlock its scent ability to sniff things. I learnt they are also great for starters. I will be a starter, unlike you that is already experienced. One love bro sorry for the late reply hv been very busy of late well we are almost on the same page. though I prefer bigger dogs like rotts BB(wouldn't mind owning them) but I don't think I can feed them very well and there is no use getting a dog yu can feed well so I will go with a GSD (moderate appetite plus it's generally less expensive) unlike those BBs that can buy a plot of land maligators are too small for me and I don't thing I can meet up with their unflagging energy levels and they are quite expensive too as for pitts they are a no no for me too small and they lack pigmentation(did yu know? pigmentation helps prevents ultra violent radiation which can ultimately lead to cancer especially in this our hot African climate) CAUCs are just not my type so if I want to get another dog now I will go for a GSD that I know am better suited to take care of (feeding, exercise et al) and I have not handled a large breed for now so from our local dogs I think it's best if I transcend to GSD that will be easier to handle than a rottweiler and maybe sometime later when am better experienced and capable I will get a Rott and BB yu know one step at a time I don't want to be a bad owner that can't handle his big dog. |
