Wonder1844: Hello Wonder1844, Your question isn't clear to me properly, but from what is understood, your funds are adequate and enough to show POF for the 1st year of stay in Canada. Do well to explain any lump sum and provide the applicable supporting document. Best Wishes! |

darasire1028: Hello Darasire1028, Wonder1844 already posted the link. Applying is pretty straightforward after reading through the MPower website. Ensure that the MPower study loan doesn't make up the bulk of funds to be demonstrated. If your bank account has sparse inflows and a low-sitting balance, it could weaken your ability to show adequate financial sufficiency and economic establishment. Best Wishes! |

Wonder1844: Hello Wonder1844, It is possible. Flywire, PayMyTuition, and Convera allow students to pay tuition in naira via bank transfer, mobile app, or card payment. Before you proceed, check your LOA to see the financial institution partnering with your DLI for tuition collection. Best Wishes! |

bobodudu100: Hello Bobodudu100, Good to know you are making efforts to secure one. Since the question relates to academic supervision, I will just drop some quick hints about contacting a supervisor, which has no definite approach, for public digest. • Start by reviewing the list of faculty members on the program page. • Trim the members down to the numbers whose research areas directly align with your research interests. • Check for their most recent publications and/or research, or if they have an upcoming webinar. Don't fail to attend the webinar if there is open. n.b. Mostly, some supervisors are quick to turn down a supervision request but don't let it deter your morale. • Compose an email of about 50 - 100 words and use an attractive SUBJECT. You can attach your résumè, but it's optional. • The email should reflect your research interest linking it to that of the supervisor, with concise reasons why interested in researching under the professor's guidance, including the benefits the research would bring to the professor's research or academic objectives. • Reference a supervisor by the title as stated in the list of faculty members on the program page. For Academic Statement/SOP writing, chat on IG/X with @GCMSWriters. Best Wishes! 4 Likes 1 Share |

NicoleThelma: Hello NicoleThelma, For the study route, the best form to show POF is liquid funds in the bank account. Any other POF can be secondary. After graduation, you stand a chance of becoming a PR if the eligibility is met. You can always apply for PR via the PNP or CEC route. Best Wishes! |

Ajoself: Hello Ajoself, While you wait for the funding approval, keep your bank account busy to help you show stable economic means. Your US denial wouldn't affect your application to Canada only if it is declared in the IMM 1294e form. What school and study did you apply to? Best Wishes! 1 Like |

ColdHunter: Hello ColdHunter, Your POF in inclusion of the full funding /scholarship is very sufficient. Your personal balance shouldn't be a problem because of the presence of the scholarship and sponsor's funds. Any lump sums in your sponsor's bank account should be documentarily explained. Also, include your pay stubs for 4 - 6 months. What is the level of the program and course? Best Wishes! |

Devasia: Hello Devasia, If after December 2023 - date there are no lump sums, you are good to go. The next focus then should be to justify your economic means to commensurate with your inflow earnings. Your marriage and unborn child are traditional and a good form of home ties, but try to prove tangible economic ties too. Best Wishes! |

mbapelvis: Hello Mbapelvis, If the paid rep is applying on your behalf to a Master's program at a university eligible to qualify its prospective students for the MPower Finance study loan, then the rep can secure a loan for you without hassle. One thing is collecting a student loan, and another is demonstrating to the officer to have a sustainable financial source durable enough to pay off the debt without harming the source. It will be best for your application, despite the loan, your economic means show healthy financial activities in your POF. Since you are using a rep., I guess you'll be better guided. However, how to proceed is at your sole discretion. Best Wishes! 3 Likes |

ColdHunter: Hello ColdHunter, Gather your documents that cover areas of finance, employment, home ties, etc. Check the thread for detailed documents others have submitted. Note that each applicant's situation is different and only select documents that relate to your situation best. BTW, what is your course of study and program? Things to watch out for: • Avoid (unexplained) lump sum deposits, if possible; • Pay the complete part of your tuition and have your living expenses in your account; • ensure your account has historical inflows that amount to an accumulated closing balance; • Work on your home ties and if using a sponsor, prove a strong relationship to the individual and the individual should try as much as possible to show financial commitment; • Demonstrate reliable financial means by providing relevant sufficient documents; • Ensure your supporting documents are legible and uploaded in the right column; • Be sincere, and if there are any discrepancies in your personal information or situation, use the LOE to give clarity while using the SOP to elaborate on your study intent. If you feel like outsourcing your immigration letter(s), chat with GCMSWriters on IG/X; • Declare any prior refusals, especially to the US, the UK, NZ, or Aussie; • Lastly, avoid revealing too much information. Only give that which directly pertains to justifying your application. Quote me if you need additional information (or clarity) you couldn't find in the (previous) thread. Best Wishes! 3 Likes |

OTSAMUEL: Hello OTSAMUEL, The best way forward is to register his business(es). He could choose to include you as a board member with shares in the enterprise. Business receipts, sales ledgers, administrative operations records, supply contract agreements, utility payments, tax certificates, etc. are vital documents that would come in handy to show his economic activities and lucrativeness. This would help you demonstrate home ties, long-term goal(s), and a potential income source for the unforeseeable future depending on how you are presenting your storyline regarding the prospective study and economic ambition in your SOP. If you need writing assistance with this, you can consider outsourcing it. Check GCMSWriters on IG/X for a well-written SOP. Best Wishes! |

Bibline: Hello Bibline, Having a family member as a resident playing a role in the application, and considering moving with your family, means that you should work to demonstrate solid home ties so the presence of the family member in Canada shouldn't suffocate that which is had in your country. Since it's a family application, the family member can be removed from the application and the funds the individual is supporting with can be shown to be gotten from another justifiable means. This will increase the ability to show stronger home ties. However, ensure that your family has sufficient funds for the study trip higher than the supporting amount from the family member. Also, make sure the funds do not make up the bulk of the funds in the POF. The family member's support letter could include accommodation, or as the economic circumstances of the family member permit. Best Wishes! 2 Likes |

Bohye84: Hello Bohye84, For your question 2, using a Canadian or PR sponsor who has received some type of financial assistance or loan from the government, and has yet to repay in full, MAY reduce the competitiveness of the application, especially in the area of funds whether a commitment was shown or not. However, the overall assessment of the application would be at the discretion of the officer in reaching a final decision. If this loan is reflected in the sponsor's bank statement, the necessary documentation proving the arrangement or ongoing repayment plans of the loan should be provided. The sponsor's employment and financial documents that show the sponsor's earnings (aren't outweighed by the loan and/or the sponsorship intent) will be very resourceful. Lastly, any funds used to liquidate any or part of the study expenses are calculated as available funds for the study. Best Wishes! 1 Like |
