deebee13: Hello Deebee13, Chill and try to save some stress for IRCC. Things evolve. As long as the slip or paper contains biometrics payment, biometrics, passport biodata, and VFS authentication information, you are good. Also, you can compare with others that submitted (almost) at the same time as you. Success is all I wish You! |

Margs: Hello Margs, The course choice depends on your primary study focus, between the two shortlisted learning areas, and how you wish to relate your story to the officer may be. From what I understand about Project Management & Analytics or Financial Analytics/Information & Business Insights, it stretches across diverse learning fields including the Wellness profession. In addendum, the study can be continued-learning from the teachings of the online MBA, like a buildup of academic work—online vs in-person study and curriculum scope. I believe this answered the question. Also, it depends on how eagerly you want your son's company. However, I will recommend the study permit. You can always act to sponsor him through school and/or include him in your PR application when you intend to apply, among other ways. If the patience and/or time are available, he can leverage the EE route if he can score high as possible. But work experience and one degree may likely drop his CRS score. The process is simplified and can be done yourself if you have the time—to handle the process as well as gather the knowledge through researching the IRCC website and this study thread. You can also decide to read through my posts, I believe it will also be insightful. If you can afford the service of an Immigration Lawyer, it is pretty much allowed. From what I know, applications made by immigration lawyers are not treated with special attention by IRCC and it is also not a guarantee that the application outcome would be positive. Sad enough, only a few immigration lawyers know their onions. I will recommend you handle it yourself. My opinion. Success is all I wish You! 1 Like |

ActivatedDreams: Hello ActivatedDreams, A fixed deposit can serve many purposes including showing economic establishment, financial investment and supporting POF. It is also an ideal way to avoid lump sums that could require tedious justification. If you don't have lump sums, there is no need to set up a fxd. Better to leave all your funds as it is and where it is. Success is all I wish You! 3 Likes |

Greenwisher: Hello Greenwisher, The officer was right to conclude about the correlation of the proposed study to your work experience. If an applicant has been out of school for a while, the proposed program should relate to the work experience domain. It is good to read you have switched study to the business field, an all-encompassing study. The hints below are critical to placing your application favorably on the officer's table. Focus on: • showing POF amounting to NGN 10m above excluding tuition. If a term deposit is certain, provide proof and explanation but try as much as you can to avoid any lump sum inflows; • paying your first-year tuition. As a re-applicant, it is advised to do everything best to convince the officer of having sufficient and available funds; • setting up a GIC or if you are expecting any lump sum, fix it in a fixed deposit for a duration close to the study commencement, to cater to your LE; • establishing a reliable and stable economic source(s) of income and investments. Include evidence and your savings bank account(s), et al. • importantly, draft a good SOP to help the officer understand your study intent and the significance of the study, especially in Canada. Then use an LOE to address the officer's concerns in the notes. If you think you will need adequate assistance with the letters, reach out to GCMSWriters on IG, Twitter, or Telegram. So many testimonies from previous applicants. Success is all I wish You! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Funmilayoo: Hello Funmilayoo, How IRCC treats applications generally is very poor and so sad. You have no other option than to defer again to the next possible admission opening if your application is not finalized before class resumption. Probably, your representative may have a reason for wanting you to wait out the outcome. Requesting the GCMS notes does not complicate an ongoing application rather, it helps it. If you have your application number you can request it. Success is all I wish You! 3 Likes |

Geerlings: Hello Geerlings, It is possible to use more than one sponsor, but it goes mostly well if they are 'direct' immediate family members like your parents and siblings. It helps show your family's economic strength. Using others like in-laws will require you to go the extra mile to demonstrate the availability of funds even if their accounts are fat and healthy. This can be done in form of financial commitments and not just on a promissory note. Areas like proving a genuine relationship with them, previous financial support, or commitment to your well-being should unfairly be shown. In all this, as a mature applicant, don't let any commitment funds coming from them make the bulk or whole of your sitting balance. If your account is not healthy, take your time to run the account accordingly. You should demonstrate strong economic establishment and stable income source(s) also. Success is all I wish You! |

Chrxs: Hello Chrxs, Numerous factors can contribute to the success of an application, esp for a family application, like POF and home ties for you and your spouse. If she can meet her full tuition and have healthy inflows accumulating to sufficient sitting balance, the same applies to you, then a family application can be considered. If the situation is different, it will help her application best if she applies with the baby. She can always apply for you once approved from outside or within Canada. If you wish to accompany her and then return to your economic endeavors in Nigeria, a VV will be a good choice. For a longer stay, opt for the SOWP. She can apply for a study permit or VV for the baby. Another area to look at is how the baby will fair without interfering in her study. She can show a pre-booked daycare or any necessary arrangement on the ground for the care of the baby. Her DLI can guide her in this aspect. Success is all I wish your Family! 2 Likes 1 Share |

If your Canada SP application has exceeded the estimated processing time or 6 months mark, or above 8 months, it will only be right and helpful to your application if you send updated documents like: • bank statement(s)/financial record(s); • letter of acceptance (if applicable); • tuition payment fees (if applicable), and/or; • upfront medicals (if applicable). Success to everybody waiting on a final decision! 9 Likes |

kpiper2473: Hello Kpiper2473, I believe she is going to be a self-financed applicant sensing from your post. N12m is enough to show as POF, however, to help her application stay competitive, her full tuition plus the N12m would be appealing to show financial availability, especially if her program is one year. The first-semester tuition can be considered if that is what is available. If the study is two years, it's not mandatory but necessary for her to have the subsequent year's tuition in her bank account. She can consider her LE as part of the N12m. Her employment information i.e. Employment Letter, Employment Letter of Introduction, Promotion Letter, Salary Increment Letter, Payslips, etc. are sufficient to justify her income sources. lawajo: Hello Lawajo, If her husband is only staying for a (very) short duration, she can apply for the VV, and if up to the duration of her study, she can choose to put in a SOWP for him or can do that for him after he arrives in Canada using the VV route. Either the VV or SP can be considered for the kids. n.b. If the duration of her study is one year, it would be ideal to apply for herself only and can then put an application for the family after her SP extension from within Canada. If she needs professional writing assistance with the SOWP/VV and SOP/LOE, she can consider outsourcing to @GCMSWriters on IG, Twitter, or Telegram. Another thing to bear in mind is having sufficient and available funds, and likewise having a stable economic establishment(s) in their country. If both of these are not sufficient or reliable, it would be recommended for her to consider a sole application. Success is all I wish Her! 1 Like 1 Share |

Thomsyne: Hello Thomsyne, Third-party websites, third-party reps, or a location do not influence the process or the swiftness of the GCMS notes delivery by IRCC. The notes are delivered according to the pace of the agent attending to such request submitted. If the agent is happy or has fewer backlogs to treat, the quicker the notes are delivered. Also, recently, the GCMS notes are randomly treated. This was observed through an established timeline. This is the reason why some notes are fast in processing and some might witness delays for eternity. On a side note, the GoC announced last year that from this July 2022, individuals can begin to request their notes from outside Canada. Let's hope their words are honored. I guess it is now clear?! Margs: Hello Margs, The information provided is limited to getting adequate advice. The reasons for the consecutive refusals should have been stated and maybe upload your GCMS notes. One essential thing to consider in your reapplication is ensuring your study is a progression of your last and/or your work experience correlates with your study intent. Give a clear purpose and good prospects for the study. Age can be a factor to be considered by the officer if the demonstration of your intent in Canada is not reasonable. It would be better to consider a sole application without your son given the series of refusals already recorded. If you think you can respond accordingly to the officer's concerns, as well as have the available budgets for the study, it is worth it to try again. Success is all I wish You! 1 Like |

Morenikeji25: Hello Morenikeji25, It is not compulsory, however since you don't have any strong economic ties and despite still being dependent on your parents, it will help your application best if your father deposits your LE expenses for one (or two) session(s) into it. If a 3 y/o baby accompanying the mother for study can be denied on the grounds of Personal Assets & Financial Status while the mother was approved, I don't think there is an exception for a teenager. It is your father's responsibility to ensure you can demonstrate adequate ties to the officer, especially through social ties and minimal economic ties. Your parents can connect you to their investments in every form possible. In the absence of providing your bank statement, your father can pay your first-year tuition. For UG study, in my preference, I always recommend paying for two sessions. Success is all I wish You! |

If you're able to show C$30,000 after your tuition and LE, the better you're able to show that there are sufficient available funds. Another to thing consider is demonstrating good socioeconomic ties. Success is all I wish You! |

eddy2farm: Hello Eddy2farm, It is good to learn that you are making headway to meet the financial requirement for your study permit application. Being self-sponsored does not guarantee the outcome will be successful even if you meet the study permit requirements. The required funds to show as required by IRCC is C$30,000 as your POF, which you can show higher. If you have this fund available and can pay for your first-year study or for the complete two years (if this is the case), and have the GIC hold your LE for the first year of study, you will stand a competitive chance but doing this is not a ground that the application would be positive. The bottom line is to ensure you submit a competitive application. You may want to look at colleges in the Ontario province. In terms of competitiveness, Ontario colleges give a good edge. Don't let the cheap tuition for colleges in the Atlantic province be the reason for choosing NBCC. Atlantic colleges make prospective students that could not attend the school forfeit the C$500 paid as a deposit to secure their seats. It is best if you opt for an Academic study, rather than Vocational. Since you have business in your home country, that can serve as good ties if you present it in a manner that justifies your economic stability Also, endeavor you settle for a study that demonstrates a progression of your previous study and/or relates to your current work experience. Success is all I wish You! 5 Likes |

Big congratulations to those getting the love letters and for those whose applications still tarry, be patient and stay hopeful, your love letter is being written by IRCC. For those planning to re-apply, success is all I wish and ensure to respond to the concern grounds of the officer accordingly likewise adequately packaging your application with only the relevant documentation. Remember that there are no two applications that are the same, focus on leveraging your unique situation or profile to your advantage and build a good and connecting storyline. Also, keep in mind that it is becoming a frequent trend for IRCC to flag an application for misrepresentation if found that an application was submitted by an "undeclared" representative.
