KellyTech007: Hello KellyTech007, It seems you already have everything figured out. Nice one. There is no need to remove your father's name as a signatory to the account. Leave it be. As a recent graduate, having your father as a sponsor in your application gives convincing assurance to the officer that funds will be readily available given the presence of his historic income source(s). Owing that you and your dad are authorized signatories to the account, he can be the sole sponsor (preferably) or be a cosponsor of the study with you. Get a domiciliary card to initiate the application fee payment. In anything you do, tie your economic prospect to your father's income source(s) and try to establish the fact that being a board member and intrapreneur in your father's organization paved way for you to become an authorized signatory and investment partner. The fixing and liquidation certificates coupled with an LOE are enough justification to help the officer trace the history of the funds into the account to be used for the application. koreanlord: Hello Koreanlord, The situation of language barriers in the Asia education system can be leveraged to your advantage, as what motivated a follow-up study in a program that can augment the previously attained degree and knowledge with Canada's practice-based and industry teachings. Demonstrate the aspect of the learning that would be covered by the proposed study that the previous Master's study curriculum didn't expatiate on. Break down the features of both programs and outline their industry differences, features, and significance to help the officer understand the study progression. Preferably, a second Master's will be more competitive than a Postgraduate Diploma if a Ph.D. is not the goal. If you can lay technical emphasis on why a P. Diploma is industry-tailored to help you achieve your economic vision than a Master's, then it can be considered. It will strongly be required for you to meet other requirements, especially your immigration status in your CoR, home ties, and funds. Even if you have valid resident status, it would improve your chances more applying from your home country. At either level, ensure to opt for a closely related study. You can use your transcript to peruse which course that was taken before can be pursued as independent learning. In a nutshell, going for a study that does not demonstrate progression exposes an application to rigorous scrutiny for the genuineness to study in Canada. Whether or not to declare your second degree is at your sole discretion. It is ideal not to hide the fact from the officer given your situation. Success is all I wish You! 4 Likes |

OmaleIsaac4: Hello OmaleIsaac4, Time in the Canadian study permit route is very important due to the long processing finalization. It is not a red flag nor will it discredit the genuineness of your tuition payment. You can use it without any consequences. Merge and upload the flywire receipt together with the LOA in the specified placeholder. You can always forward to IRCC the receipt from your DLI upon issuance. Success is all I wish You! |

Elisheva1: Hello Elisheva1, I am not sure if the originating post regarding the loan is from you. If it is, having about NGN 50m as available funds and proceeding to take a study loan to demonstrate funds availability is not an ideal financial demonstration strategy. It could reduce your chances. It will make better sense to pay your tuition from the demonstrated available funds. Then update IRCC with the receipt and a savings bank record to complement the corporate. Success is all I wish your Family! 1 Like |

Kolajero: Hello Kolajero, The medical updating on the online account is resulting from IRCC's delay, which has become a norm that may be experienced by applicants that submitted a requested document, upfront medicals, and/or biometrics. On some occasions, it may not change until a while or even at the time of PPR. This routine of IRCC has panicked applicants of something being wrong with their applications when nothing is. gaeul: Hello Gaeul, There is now a change in the situation, and the officer will want to see enough funds that will cover the family, including OP. Funds availability is a strong requirement that must be met in the TRV category. The best way to show funds for the family (when applying for the SOWP/VV) is by showing the LE/ME in OP's Canadian bank account while using the spouse's bank record to also give further financial support and show the spouse's financial stability in the home country. Success is all I wish You! |

slayxo: Hello Slayxo, Big congratulations on your victory. You don't need to notify IRCC. The same also applies if an initial course is changed. It is only mandated if a change of DLI was considered. Thus, it is your responsibility to enter Canada prior before the visa vignette appended to the passport expires. Prosper! 1 Like |

Admirabellebnf: Hello Admirabellebnf, An affidavit of age correction can be sworn (by either parent) to affirm the accurate age and back the passport information. Due to the person's inability to come down to rectify the issue, the WAEC certificate can be excluded. It is not a mandatory supporting document. Then again, it's there on the birth certificate. You could consider using the affidavit option for now. The correction can be done before any subsequent use. Success is all I wish Him! |

Ebite2000: Hello Ebite2000, There is no definite timeline at this stage, and depending on the time the additional document is reviewed completely. Zbk001: Hello Zbk001, Having a Mpower study loan is no ground for the IRCC financial requirements to be waived, though the required funds to show should be enough after tuition (already handled by MPower) and that can cater to the LE. Another area critically assessed by the officer is the inflows, which may be a factor in the assessment of the means the loan would be paid back without causing future indebtedness. Your employment and level of economic establishment should be reliable. Allowing the MPower study loan to carry the full weight of showing financial availability for the study, would not be appropriate and enough to show proof of funds sufficiency and good economic standing. ademma2022: Hello Ademma2022, A company sponsorship would be ideal if the full tuition can be paid and the LE transferred to you as a commitment demonstration. A one-year study is well in place for company sponsorship, to allow a participating staff to acquire the required workplace knowledge through the study intent. In the absence of financial commitment from the company, it would be best to patronize an individual sponsorship. The crucial documents you will need from the company are: • Source of income proof; • POF; • Board resolution – agreeing to the sponsorship and authorization of the funds to be disbursed for the sponsorship intent; • Evidence of the new office creation (if applicable); • Office Publication announcing the opportunity (if applicable); • Others. Morenikeji25: Hello Morenikeji25, Using a corporate account as the primary POF is not advisable, especially for a third-party sponsorship. Even for parent sponsorship, when using a corporate bank account, it is wise to include a board resolution recognising the sole authority and unrestricted access to the company funds to undergo such sponsorship venture. The combined total of both the corporate and savings bank account presented is not sufficient funds to undergo a UG study in Canada. Due to the study length and cost of an undergraduate study, the officer would want to see more funds sufficient enough to show the available funds for the payment of your first-year tuition and demonstration for the successive years. If your father can work on his funds to about N15m upward, in his savings account, with healthy inflows, and aside from the first year or two-year tuition that is wise to be paid before re-applying, demonstrating funds availability for your study will be easy and improve your application's competitiveness. Do well to also demonstrate justifiable home ties that can compel your return. Success is all I wish You! 3 Likes |
