@Justwise, my Apllication for 6 month visiting Visa was refused today and the grounds that i did not give any evidence to prove my source of income because i stated dat am a worker but did not include my personal acct and payslip, jus letter from employer, company reg cert and my work id card, but its my uncle that what to sponsor me and the ECO said that the income tax clearance of my sponsor (uncle) does not correlate with the account statement. And did not disclose my uncle's source of income, And intend to re-apply using another sponsor for my application, i donno maybe i can still use another person as my sponsor and add my personal acct and pay cheques from my employers as evident of my income, I really need your reply, Thanks!
Don't change sponsor, address those issues raised by ECO, supply those documents the ECO pointed out in the refusal letter then reapply.

@ justwise, how are u doing today.just a quick one, I applied for a UK tourist visa last week for myself and my wife. I made a hotel booking but I forgot to include the email confirmation. However, I included the booking reference number beside the hotel address. What do u think? Will it suffice? Thanks.
Though email confirmation is important but you don't get booking reference without getting email confirmation, so booking reference and the hotel address is enough for verification if they want to.

@OP and anybody else in OP's shoes:

I'd reiterate my earlier advise that you SHOULD not bother to draw so much attention to things that will be normally understood as a mistake, doing so will only warrant further suspicions and investigation into your application which of course is the first thing you will want to avoid.

Below is an excerpt from the UKBA website:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/policyandlaw/guidance/ecg/rfl/rfl4/

Again, these things are being checked by humans not computers, they are well trained to detect and separate an obvious human error from a false representation.
You are mis-interpreting that section. . . However, you must should not refuse an applicant because you suspect that false representations have been made or because of minor inaccuracies in the application, for example an inaccurate address or mis-spelt name on a visa application form. See the ECO Toolkit for guidance on how to assess an application.

Miss-spelling in visa application form is NOT the same as submitting personal documents with a letter missing. If you mis-spelt in your application form they could see that every other documents have the correct spelling, in that case its a genuine mistake.

@justwise

I spoke with my agent today and she said the CAS would confirm the total payments. I would be the one to open an account and the school would send the refund to my acct. She said most people are not familiar with this kind of process because they do not pay the whole fees @ once, instead they prefer to leave in the bank for 28days. She said I shouldn't worry that I won't need to tender any bank statement since all the fees I need are in the uk already.

What do you say about this?
Your school fees got nothing to do with maintenance money, accommodation is just one part of your maintenance money. You still need to show the ECO how you will pay for other expenses apart accommodation.

I received a txt mssg. from UK Embassy that my visa has been ready but i want to track it before i show up for collection. Can any body help me out how to track my Application reference number(IKAB/0****/0****/1) and Date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy), i have track it on https://www.vfs.org.in/UKG-PassportTracking/ApplicantTrackStatus.aspx?Data=0G7yxvRQ5tw= but i got an invalid status tracking. Please help me out, Thanks you All, One Love my people
Why do you want to track it again? Why not go and pick it up? Tracking it online will not tell you whether you have been given a visa or not.

Now to you Mr know nothing. You know I don't need visa in the UK and neither do I need one in the States, even if you don't know, now you know. I have won countless of cases and would continue to win more for my clients by HIS grace.

What you don't know, it's better you ask or allow those that know or those with experience to tell or teach you. Don't always come here with your pessimistic views on immigration issues 'cause you don't know any.

Don't know if you're being paid to do this, but we are here to always correct the wrong notion you always put up. And one more thing, is it just me that your write-ups and the way say these things looks "white"? In everything we do in life, wisdom is applicable. That's where the Indians have the upper hand when it comes to minority in any country.

Calamity! that supposed to be your middle name, i mean. . . to think that somebody like you got anything to do with anybody's immigration issue is worrying.

Sometime when i read your post i got angry with people who abolished slave trade, you should have been useful in banana plantation.

Somebody with zero knowledge of immigration is issues is apparently claiming to be some sort of visa or immigration expert?  Keep hanging around in Travel Section, i'm keeping eyes on you.

You are right on the point. Your first name and last would be concentrated on but your middle name would not even if there's an omission or error with it. Some people are just making it difficult for others.

There would be no discretion on the part of the ECO either to issue or not to issue a visa based on the character "H and N" the poster mentioned earlier. Any attempt from the ECO to deny the applicant a visa based on that would be termed malicious, unreasonable, unprofessional, biased and if any, prejudice.

The applicant would win the case easily even if first denied and the ECO might regret his/her action. I would dare any ECO to do this to any of my family or friends, dem do see pepper.

Hot air as usual. Giving you a visa is a privilege, even if they refused you visa with no reason there is nothing you will do, you will still pay again to reapply or appeal your case, so quit all these noise about your imaginary right.

The accomodation is gonna cost about 3800. But how get the rest back. Will the school give me a refund nd if they do, its useless cos I need it here in my acct
In that case the school will refund you £1600 which will be enough but you need to convince the school to include this in your CASE or write a separate letter addressed to ECO promising to refund you that money as soon as you get to Uk, that you over paid the accommodation fees, that you are entitled to a refund of £1600

True, but then again, applications are screened by humans not computers. Humans who are reasonable enough to spot and separate what one may call genuine human error from fraudulent documents.

If i had submitted up to 20 verifiable genuine solid documents, references and Ids with my full names well spelt out as VANDAME VIOLENT JUSTWISE, and if for some reason one of those document had the name field filled out as VANDAME VIOLEN JUSTWISE, it will be completely unreasonable to expect that an immigration officer could deny an application for this singular reason. . . . even after considering that the same document had been used to procure you tier 4 letter from the school.
Its up to that immigration officer to ignore that error or press forward to find out why you haven't corrected it.

I had to drain my parents to pay the fees. I don't fink they have money like that nd even they do its not in their account. Plus its to late to start putting money in the account.
If they have anything between £500 to £1000 then you will be fine.

You really need to find out how much the accommodation is that will help you figure out what next to do.

If the accommodation is £5000 for example, £400 is not enough to cover your feeding, phone bills, transport and book for a year.

You really need to find out how much the actual fee for accommodation. The school will refund you the balance when you get to the UK

Do you have any money in your account in Nigeria? Or your daddy, mums's account? That could be a way out.

Well, you may be right. But it will take an immigration officer who's being unnecessary anal to pick up on a missing character in your middle name as a reason to deny your application when ALL other documents check out to be completely genuine and contain your names accurately spelt out.
A single letter makes a massive difference in a name, violent is not the same as violen yes even with all your genuine documents, that single letter missing could lead to refusal.

I had a problem of this sort a while back. My middle name had been incorrectly spelt with a letter missing, I simply ignored it and pretended i hadn't noticed it myself and everything was just fine.

As long as all other documents and information they contain are accurate, i wouldn't worry about genuine omissions, there's really no need to draw so much attention to things that would be ignored normally.
Not everybody get away with it like you did, when its picked up by an immigration officer then you have some questions to answer, you called it genuine mistake but others may not see it that way.

I'm 100% sure that you don't pay living expenses to school and school will not open bank account for you, they will give you letter to do that, you can't even open bank account in the UK without your passport and your student ID.

All you pay to the school is your school fees, paying for accommodation is not necessary because its not part of visa requirement as long as you have the maintenance money (£5400) in your bank account for 28days you will still be given a visa.

Thanks for your help. I just have a couple more questions.

1. My admission is for September entry. How soon can I apply for my visa coz last year I left it too late.

2. I had 2 visa rejections last year due to: I submitted my dad's company account statement and d second time d ECO said it was past my late registration date by about 2 weeks.
If I apply now, will my past 2 rejections put me in a negative angle?
Thank you.
Applying now will be far too early, apply by May or early June, the previous two refusals will not affect your application as long as you acknowledged in your application that you were refused a visa before and explained why.

i paid the whole accomodation and living expenses to the school ( 5400). it dosent include feeding. like i told you, the agent said the accomodation would be deducted from the 5400 nd would send the rest to my account as living expenses. the school is in nothingham
Ok, you need to know how much is your accommodation and how will be left from that £5400

Nottingham is outside london so your maintenance money is £5400, after deducting the accommodation fees the remaining money should be in your account for 28days AND the ECO want to see the bank statement showing that amount.

Your school will not open an account for you, they will only give you a letter to open an account WHEN you get to the UK. even if the school has opened an account for you (which i doubt) you still need to show the bank statement as an evidence.

Your agent is wrong, the ECO wants to see the bank statement of the remaining money. Your CASE will only confirm the school fees and the accommodation, the expenses will not be mention in your CASE.

@justwise, i havent applied for the visa. am doing that on tuesday. the agent said the CAS would contain a break down of all the fees i've paid to the school. it would also show that i have remmited the accomdation and living expenses to the school that the ukba would not need to ask for my bank statement.
Yes the CAS will show that u have paid school fees and accommodation but you don't pay living expenses to the school, let me get this clear: Does your accommodation includes feeding? If yes, how much did you pay for accommodation and feeding?

Is your school in London or outside London?

I paid the living expenses to the school. Was made to understand by my agent that the school would deduct the accomodation fee, then open a seperate acct in my name then leave the balance their for me.

I never heard of that before, you supposed to have your maintenance money(living expenses) in your bank account in Nigeria in your name, after 28days you print the bank statement and attach it with your visa application form and submit for visa.

Now if you have paid for accommodation with your school, it will be re-ducted from the maintenance money, for example. . . if your school is outside London and you have paid £4000 for accommodation then what you need to have in your account for maintenance money is £1400 but if your school is in London then its £7200-£4000

The school will not open an account for you, you will do that when you get to the UK.

I don't know where your agent got that from.

How much was in the bank statement you submitted for visa?
