sean001: You will definitely get a refusal,no doubt about that. The money can only be in your account or your parent's account.the unfortunate part of it is that the lawyer won't tell you the truth purposely because of his personal interest. I also encountered the same problem and that was why I had to defer my admission till february.I got a letter from an immigration lawyer to back up my sister's statement of account but was rejected by my college. If I can be rejected by a college who needs my money what do you think will happen at the high commision that doesn't care at all? If only I had listened to Justwise's advise immediately I joined this forum I would have been in the UK by now.You don't have to waste your money and time,uk visa is one of the easiest to get provided you follow the laid down rules. In order to get more information, take your time and read all the pages in this forum and also the tier 4 policy guidance, you will get all what you need to make your application successful. If your brother really wants to help you,he should transfer the money into your account or if he his not giving you the benefit of doubt,he can transfer it to your parent's account,It is cheaper and safer. That is the truth, the lawyer is fighting for his pocket. |

ChineduXXY: Thank you I told them exactly the same thing. That is a real issue I am facing right now. They disagreed and said that they are going to use a Lawyer to present the case, attach the birth certificate of both me and my brother, including a picture showing us both, then he will write a letter, the lawyer will also write a letter. Then we will present all these with my brother's statement of account and his hand written letter. What do you think about this procedure? I was told that the Lawyer has done it, or said he has done it times without number. , and also, what do you think about putting the money in my parent's account?
They will only be wasting the money on the lawyer. Yes putting the money in your mum or daddy's account for 28days will be a better option then attach your birth certificate to your visa application pack. |

dalebutt1: Dude are you sure you are sane? you dont want this thread to be derailed, did you start the thread? and because you are a mod you can choose to decide you do not want a personal thread to be derailed, and whats derailing about my comment? I see why this section of the forum has few people commenting on it since you took over, you post for best posters it has only attracted around 26 votes other sections has gone upto 10 pages your section is struggling getting votes because you lack manners and interaction with people in general.
You lack forsight and it doesnt concern you the number of posters the section attracts daily, about just around 18 comments yesterday on this section that you are a moderator and it doesnt give you concerns and yet you further choose to clique yourself and dislike people that have a different view from yours. Good
I will make a formal complaint to seun and put all my points towards him, and whatever he says I will make my decision on future visits That is the right thing to do, go ahead. |

zumbigbo: . . . . and you have just given her confident boosting news there right?
Apologies, I must have missed the part in her original post about 'her confidence needing boosting'.
What I did get was that she was going to Nigeria for the first time and wanted a holiday, where she could enjoy herself and have memories as opposed to episodes of remorse.
I have travelled to Nigeria with many first-timers and know what bits of information were key to their vacation. Sometimes, quite often, the truth hurts. As opposed to giving her a library of information as knowledge, the myopic prefer to snipe and scratch, crabs in a barrel mentality which is also very prevalent back home.
Fe em Deus You obviously take yourself too seriously. . . which is not prevalent abroad. |

I have collected my passport, THANK YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST. I applied on Friday 2nd December and the Visa was actually issued on 7th December, which is two working days to process. It has been a long day, so tired yet so grateful. I read some posts in the Travel forum over and over again as one wanted to feel what people were going through as nobody wants to walk alone. Kindly note my doors are well open to any question whatsoever for those who might need some encouragement from my journey. I will detail the things that I submitted amongst other things. see you around.[/quote]4 working days. Congrat, you got every reason to be happy. |

Thanks Justwise.
Her 6 months statement will show my monthly remittance of 1,000 pounds to her account. Her Visa card account will also show my remittance of about 500pounds every month. This is all good right? And hope this will show that I am willing and able to support my family. Expectedly once I get there, they will stop paying her housing benefit and I will take over. That's the only issue I have anyway - the housing benefit stuff. You are doing the right thing, it makes your case alot straight forward. She will not get out of housing benefit until you get a job and move to rented accommodation. |

Nigerian govt should just shut their thieving mouth up and focus on something more serious like security and crimes, they are using this now to divert attention from the real issue.
They are quick to pass this law but its taking them ages to sort out Boko Haram or even electricity, bunch of impotent individuals.
Whatever g-a-y pple do will not affect me but i can't say the same about Boko Haram or 419ners. Very sad that we have fools ruling Nigeria. |
