My Simple advice for you is:

1. To sell up your business add the proceed to your present $6,000 and move back to Nigeria. There are a lot of small scale business you can start with that money and with good management you can double it in a year. What you are about to do is complete suicide, because your wanna use your hard earned money to travel wit a passport that is not yours. forget the vibes you are getting about the possibilities with the passport. If you are too desperate and convince your shine is in Asia, do the right thing. Return to Nigeria, get a Naija passport and apply for Chinese or Malay visa. This will save you the stress of throwing away that $6k you are currently holding. I appreciate your courage in seeking advice and hope others in your shoes would do the same.
Thank God we still have Nigerians like you.

@Op, you really don't know what you are getting yourself into with that passport, even if you managed to get to China with that passport and start up well. . . one day, just one day you will regret the day you made the decision to travel with that passport because just when you think all is well. . . the issue of your real identify will come back to hurt you.

yemz - Do not allow anyone or anything to put you off. Abeg.

You can see from the comments to your question that in general, a large part of Nigerians are mistrustful of anything. Most are innately suspicious of natural phenomena (like the sun shining), let alone trying to work out another person's motivation. The first thing that will hit you and be a slight shock will be the heat, you will sweat a lot so take some towels (hand towels) that you can whip out and dry your skin with. Mosquitoes will eat you up, but most chemists sell an ammonia based product called 'Afterbite' which reduces swelling and I can vouch is a life-saver to stop you scratching it into a small scar.

Compared to the UK, there is a general lack of thank-you's, please etc,  so do not get offended if you do not hear these things. Also, we talk to each other harshly and shout (but this is because we believe in surround sound dynamics), take this all with a pinch of salt.

Do not travel at night (by coach), take plane by day as the roads are a mess.

Other than that, if you mingle with different kinds of people, you will be surprised at the joy and depth of human feeling that exists in 9ja despite our own innate predisposition to confusion, malice and skullduggery.
. . . . and you have just given her confident boosting news there right?

Then concrete facts and references should be presented to counter their argument and 'paranoia'. Nelson Mandela was considered a 'terrorist' at one point in time by his detractors because he had deep understanding of the issues at hand and knew what he wanted. Now he is the darling of everybody. Even though more work still need to be done.
Olodostein nobody takes conspiracy theorist seriously, they make things up as they go and very hypocritical.

In my opinion conspiracy theory should be classify as a disease.

@ READY2GIVE, thanks for your light hearted response, and i apologise on behalf of other posters that has made mockery of your post, the fact is it was funny but nonetheless i will try and give my opinion.

Deportation of Nigerians cannot be prevented but it can be reduced, only if the goverments would make Nigeria liveable for the inhabitant, create jobs, make available opportunities for the youths, stable power supply, regular pipe borne water, fight against corruption and looting of public funds, fight against boko haram, good and trust worthy policing, good roads.

You know if this things were readily available in Nigeria it will attract investors and there-by making the country investable. so when Nigerians secure a visa to go to any country they would not be desperate to stay in those countries and those reasons listed above by 25omega would sure be reduced.

I hope you can have a bit of an idea
I disagree with you, deportation can be prevented if Nigerians respect home country immigration rules, Nigerians with resident permit commit crime , a criminal is a criminal, there are criminals in the UK ,US and other developed countries even with their govt providing some if not all the things you listed above.

Some Nigerian deportees are rapist, that got nothing to do with economy.

Something is not clear somewhere here,

@VIjustise, Its oilfield operation where you travel around the world for oil service contract.

These people all have Valid international passports, both passport from the same country but different passport no.
and they travel most times with them, but when they require a visa, they submit one, then use the other to work in another country. They do not and never had problem with that.

Varified from Norway citizen.
Varified from EU citizen.(UK to be precise),
Varified from SA citizen.

So, the question, is it possible to get that exception from my goverment.

Also, My passport is almost full, if i get another passport, will they give me same passport no. or they just cancel the almost full passport. N/B i still have a valid visas in that.

Thanks for all the info
That is what you need to do, get a letter from your office and present it to immigration, they will make their decision based on the nature of your job.

. .In certain circumstances frequent travellers may be eligible for a second passport. If you feel that you need a second passport you must submit your existing passport with an application for an additional new passport. Your application must be accompanied by an official letter from your employer (or on company headed paper if self employed) setting out why you need a second passport. You should also make a note under "other information" on the application form that you are applying for a second passport and do not wish your current passport to be cancelled. Second passports will only be issued where there is an ongoing and compelling need for frequent travel and it is likely that visas will need to be applied for whilst other travel is undertaken, . .

As i pointed out to you before. . it has to do with the nature of your job and it follows official channel. Its not just for anybody, read my previous posts.

Vicjustice:
There is no nature of job that would require a person to have double valid passport because, this is an immigration offence in the first place.
There is only one internationally acceptable case of being able to have clone national passports. The only case is if you regularly travel to Israel and to countries that do not recognize isreal. You may apply for your country to give you a passport to travel to isreal and then you use the other one for the other countries, that way they dont know you have been to isreal and cant kick you out of that country. But besides that it is very impossible, and if you use the passport other than for this very purpose, you would be prosecuted. So, it is illegal to have 2 passport belonging to one country.
Bros certain govt 'agencies' are allowed to have two apart from diplomas. Though like you said. . . they only use it for 'work' purposes.

Thats where i come in, I get a letter from my employer, stating the nature of my job, similar to what KennyG described above, then see how it would be handled.

Its just that i want to be very sure before going into this, I wouldn't want a situation some immigration personal collects money from me to get a passport only for me to get involved with a funny "crime".
Honestly there is no two ways about this. . . if the nature of your job requires you to have two active passports your employer will tell you, and the application will be made through the official channel.

Please ask questions around your office to avoid getting in trouble.

If you earn 387pounds a month then it doesn't look good to spend 1420 pounds in 7days, you really have to explain to the ECO why you want to do that.

Which is what i think of doing, but looks like my government won't give a S***T about this request.

I can as well try and see how it goes,

That hotel reservation can be used as an accommodation, embassies accept hotel reservation/booking as means of accommodation. You need to print it and attach it to your application package.

@Justwise,

Thats limited, my colleagues at the office have two passports from same country of origin(An english and south african) with different passport nos,  I wonder why it should be a criminal offence in Nigeria to do that.

It shows we are limited in our immigration policy.

And applying for Visa takes ages for them to give you back your passport, not that they will even take a photocopy of it to work with it.

Really frustrating

Thanks alot for the information.
I don't think its legal to have two active passports in SA only of you are a diplomat where you are allowed to have the 'red' passport and the standard passport.
Your colleague could be committing criminal offence.

Hey Folks,

I heard its a criminal offence to have two passport (How authentic is this info). Is it possible to get an official letter from my employer due to the nature of my job.
Yes its a criminal offence to have two passports and you will not be able to get another passport because your biometric details are taken already.

There is no point appealing the decision because you will not win the appeal, your friend should have made a list of places he want to visit in the UK and state reasons why he chooses to visit the UK, he should have also made an accommodation arrangement and present the proof to the ECO.

this reply right, buh the guy stated in his application that he doesnt have anybody in Uk,hw can he make arrangement for accommodation since he has stated it that he doesnt know anybody, what else do u think he can do to solve the issue of accommodation out, does he need any additional document to back it up,e.g statement of account from some1 else.thanks
Where was he planing to stay in the UK if he had been given the visa?
