There was this programme (i think on channel 5 in the UK) that showed how foreigners get Nigerian passports with bribes. Quite a large number of criminals caught abroad claiming to be Nigerians aren't. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=why%20do%20foreigners%20aquire%20nigerian%20pasports%3F&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CCsQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.onlinenigeria.com%2Farticles%2Fad.asp%3Fblurb%3D685&ei=5jDjTqHnNc_t8QOUgdXqAw&usg=AFQjCNER0d-mmRJjkwYh8SZypo9lGnir9Q http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=why%20do%20foreigners%20aquire%20nigerian%20pasports%3F&source=web&cd=6&ved=0CEcQFjAF&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vanguardngr.com%2F2011%2F06%2F7-arrested-over-intl-passport-scam%2F&ei=5jDjTqHnNc_t8QOUgdXqAw&usg=AFQjCNG2jMEysFRyWOSAZFgXAvFwUS7Qlg
The program you are referring to was done to expose corruption in Nigerian immigration |

cold: @Op,didn't have the patience to read thru the entire thread. But what i'd advise you to do is get her pregnant,as soon as she is delivered of the baby.Apply for ILR under the EU Bill of Human Rights,Article 8.Which deals with family & sundry matters.Get an attorney to pursue your case. Then & only then do you have a strong case to legalise your stay.My 2 cents Do you know how long it will take him to get out of the immigration mess if he goes ahead with your advice? Why do we always encourage people to abuse the system? |

oyinema: Good evening.
First post after a very long while so please bear with me.
I am about to apply for a visiting visa for my family - father, brother, sister and nephew to attend my wedding in the UK. My sister is married with a son and works so will have payslips and employer letter but has no savings, my younger brother is still in school and will be returning to school (secondary), my father is retired, we (siblings) send him money monthly for his upkeep. He has a few properties and not much income from them.
I am planning to pay for them all - accommodation, transport and upkeep in the UK. I have N3m in my nigerian account which I am planning to use. I live with my husband to be and he will supporting the application with his bank statements. We have a savings account in his name and both pay money into it. There's about £6000 there. Will this be sufficient to cover their application or will they still need to show (especially my sister) savings?
Thanks for your help. That amount should be enough but it depends on your accommodation arrangement and how long they will be staying, are you keeping them in a hotel or do u have enough accommodation for them? |
Considering how just about anyone these days can get a Nigerian passport, i'm taking this story with a pinch of salt. I mean, we've all heard how uncompromising they are over there with convicted drug smugglers, so why would as many as 139 Nigerians in a year be trouping over to Malaysia carrying drugs? Just doesn't make sense; we love life too much in this country to be that silly and foolhardy. Most probably a sizeable percentage are Nigerians but my suspicion is that some bastards from surrounding/nearby African countries as well as other foreigners fraudulently acquire Nigerian passports/citizenship.
May they get what's coming to them all. Bastards!!!
Why would any non-Nigerian be in a hurry to acquire Nigerian passport? |

GIO12: pls vicjustice, justwise and all those that have information concerning these uk universities in any aspect should help. Pls a brother needs your advise. To add to what dalebutt1 have said already. . . those universities are ok but Heriot Watt university is ranked higher followed by Northumbria, personally i don't like Scotland, so i will go for Northumbria (Newcastle), social life in Newcastle is crazy, huge student community as there are two universities in Newcastle. You will be able to get part time job. . .20hrs a week during term time and full time during the holidays. As per friendlessness. . . if you blend in you will make friends, don't get stuck with Nigerians alone else . . . |

Another interesting trend I noticed is that while Jarus and OAM4J are nominated almost equally, nobody has mentioned Chelseabmw who is inspired's co-MOD.(wetin happen) or Dis guy who is with Justwise. Its also funny(atleast to me) Very interesting analysis. . . . |

I be naija boy o,i quickly suspect it to be scam.though there are impressions that she's a russian, like when she types some inaccurate english and tells a loat about russia like social and political life, her childhood and her dislike for russian men.To verify things i asked her for her phone number, she said she doesn't have any that she's just a farmer and the only child to elderly couple she assist in the garden, she emailed me a page of her passport and some series of private photos and kept saying my remmitance is delaying her to come over.these are my questions: (1) is it legal to marry her in court here in nigeria and what are my chances of living with her legally eslewhere, lets say europe? (2) is this a scam ?? Abeg make una advice me (3) i went on spiritual quest, the first says i will have the best of her while another says and i quote "its just like a scam, look for a nigerian lady to marry" end of quote.
