ZimAngel:
Okay. Inga you know a lot about Zimbabwe.

Anyways sorry if I'm coming across as I'm anti Nigeria coz I'm not. And I'm not painting you all with the same brush I know some good Nigerians who are God fearing and loving.
If i sound angry or offensive in my replies then disregard that, it wasn't my intention, i understand that u are fighting to protect your sister, its normal but you should also understand that focusing mainly on Nigerian men here will create a bad blood, like u rightly pointed out, not all Nigerians are into marriage for papers, many of us love Zim girls for who they are. grin grin grin

I think you should allow your sister to learn from her 'mistake', her mind is probably made up, you can only support her to make the right choice, like i said b4, many Zim girls fight for their rela/ship/marriage, they don't give up easily.

Support her, she may see reasons with u when u see things from her own angle.
Take care.

Don't get me started on that one. He has a very strange name actually kissPlease get your facts right. Our Zimbabwean boys are hard working and respectable people. And they do stay in marriage. Yes I admit some of them do need a helping hand because it was not easy for our men adjusting to the social change in UK, but we zim girls complement our men we stick by them and do our best to help them achieve their dreams and goals. All Zim men I know work for a living, unlike my sisters husband who doesn't even have a real job. My husband is a hardworking man. He has never claimed assylum or benefits. He got his papers straight just like any other professional residing in the UK. Please get your facts right. Most Zimbabweans with British passports got them through nursing or teaching or medicine not through assylum. Zimbabweans are very eductated people, we had the best educational system in Africa. Please get your facts right. And you saying you don't know a single Zimbabwean who came here legally, is that another of your jokes. Very funny.
I don't have anything against Zim pple, lived in Zim and enjoyed my time there, i get long with them, shared flat with them, went out with them both in Zim and here in the UK.

I'm just fed up with some of you who came here to stir up anti-Nigerian view, you have told one-sided story of Nigerians
and i want to draw your attention to other side of your 'some' Zimbabweans.

Yes Zim girls work hard, some have more than 2 jobs, i give that to them, yes Zimbabweans are educated, that is widely accepted but that is in decline now since about 2001 when the crisis started.

Up until 2001 or 2003 Zimbabweans are allowed to come to the UK visa free, at that time alot of nurses from Zim came here to work and settle, when the UK withdrew that right of visa free from Zims, they started claiming asylum AND asylum seekers from  Zim can't be deported as the British govt feared that they will be tortured by Mugabe war vets, only 2yrs ago or so that UK govt started deporting Zim failed asylum seekers cos  the coalition government of MDC and Zanu seem to be 'working'.

Many Zimbabweans who came here after 2002 up claimed asylum or claiming one AND they were given a house, paid £30 weekly, allowed to attend college but not allowed to work legally until their case are sorted out.

You rarely see a Zimbabwean in colleges or university studying and paying full school fees as a foreign student, alot of Zim-boys cheat like hell, benefit is their main source of income, they make babies with these women and leave them to get council house as its easier for single mums to get council house than married couples.

Nigerian men are not saints but don't come here to put us down cos of your sister's situation.

Good luck with your marriage, i think u should concentrate in it and make it work rather than carrying out your anti-Nigeria campaign

They are too naive and trusting. Not used to this barbaric behavior. I will lol, that's what I've been doing for the last year. Come to think of it I will start a website/forum or blog addressing this issue. I am now on a mission to warn zim girls of this wickedness, seriously cheesy
I think u are joking, some Zim girls will slag ur website off cos they are happily married to their Nigerian husbands. Zim-boys were at it for a long time, they married white British for paper and run back to Zim to get Zim-girl.

I don't know a single Zimbabwean in the UK who came here legally, they all claimed to be running away from sekuru Mugabe then claim asylum, get their papers then straight on benefit while they work illegally.

Your Zim-boys HARDLY stay in marriage, HARDLY hold down a job or go school here in the UK, if you saw any of them studying then the British govt is paying for the fees and loans.

When a Nigerian got into marriage with a non-Nigerian woman and the marriage broke down, the next thing ppl think of is papers, some of those marriages are actually sham marriage, but she will never tell her pple the truth
but anti-Nigerian brigade will always pick on papers just to get back at Nigerians

Yes they are pretty, open minded, fun loving and ready to die for their men, i wouldn't want to compare them to Nigerian girls cos they are all pretty in their own individual ways.

@ZimAngel

I think u are being unfair to Nigerian men, not all Nigerian men marry Zim girls for paper, and saying that Zim girls are prettier than Nigerian girls is just not true, i lived in Zim for more than 3yrs, went to school there, dated Zim girls both in Zim and the UK, yes some are dam pretty i can't deny that but Nigerian girls are pretty good looking as well, u can't play one against the other.

Well, considering that a number of spies and international criminals usually have no trouble procuring  British and American passports (remember the two Israeli agents that assasinated someone in Dubai last year?), I struggle to see your point.

No. I only said that the Brits are whiners. Period.
They complain when things don't go their way. Remember the US also bidded for a World Cup, but didn't go around whining that they refused to pay bribes, when they didn't get it.

But u are wrong, USA withdrew from the race to host 2018, they did not go to the end. England did not complain cos they lost the bid, British newspaper started exposing FIFA corrupt officials even before the result was announced, that was what led to the suspension of our own crook Amos Adamu and he did not cast his vote, BBC aired a documentary about corruption in FIFA few days before the result was announced, so you suggestion that England complained cos they lost is wrong.

Chuck Blazer
is not British but he made the allegation that led to the suspension of Bin Hammam and Warner giving Blatter an easy run to win the election.

A stronger stance needs to be taken against corruption in Nigeria and Africa as a whole! Law enforcement agents sex/u/al/y abusing helpless women and Children, and taking bribes?   angry  sad Will people stop trying to get into other countries illegally despite knowing the possible dangers they are exposing themselves to  . . .  sad  angry  . . . . Nah I was not talking about politicians, I was talking about people like the immigration officer collecting money in that format as shown on TV,.The ordinary bank official who ask for kick back to proccess your loan or teh Sec who asks for a fee to proccess your LPO etc/.
I see where u are coming from but corruption in Nigeria is not just poverty issue, some pple are just greedy, even with millions in their bank account they will still ask for bribe.

That immigration officer did not bother to do any check b4 handing Nigerian passport to a complete foreigner.

Okay, I have seen the e-mail you sent me:
Hello,.
This is replying to your reply to my post on naiaraland. I'm sorry to inform you that the no downpayment opportunity is no longer available. Reason is because of the abuse of priviledge that has happened in the course of time. We have had people who backed out at the very last moment when everything has been set down just for them to go for the interview and get their visa 2 days after. We've lost huge money in the course. Now, a monetary committment is necessary. If you are down, the first requirment I'd need from u is your e-passport sent to my box for the immediate processing. The entire cost is N900 Thousand. payable on the day u receive your visa. But then, u must assure me of your commitment and readiness. Please, you must be serious about it. Thanks.
Sent from my BlackBerry® Smartphone, from Etisalat. Enjoy high speed internet service with Etisalat easy net, available at all our experience centres So, Are you saying that I cannot go and confirm the Visa if it is for real? before paying you N900, 000? If it is so, I am afraid that I cannot rely on you cos I have to take the Visa to a friend that is working at the Embassy to confirm it,
Almost a million naira for what type of visa?

GUys you guys are missing something here, the title of the program was breaking into Britain,
Did they realy show how easy it was to get into Britain?
Did they show how easy it was to get a British Passport?
What the undercover reporter did is an everyday occurance here in the UK,there are corrupt officials as wel on here, its same thing all over the world.
So this is not percular to just Nigeria but then again corruption here in Nigeria has a reason, We are Poor ,under developed and despirate, what reason do the advance worl have to be corrupt

PS,Im not saying waht the 9ja immigration guy did was in any shape or form GOOD, but there you go, in every 12 there must be a JUDAS. grin grin
Is that a joke or what? Politicians stealing billion of $$ are poor?

I was wondering if these guys actually know what/how it is in the UK, It seems they had this Eldorado vision, they kept talking about schooling and at least getting a roof over their head, their human rights being respected etc (partly true)
Well. ,  i don't know about now but couple of yrs ago i knew of an asylum seeker who was allowed to attend college full time and was given a house, paid £30 weekly while her case was still with Home Office but was not allowed to work. I think things have changed now, getting in illegally is even harder now let alone claiming asylum.
