MamaGiovanni: Good evening @justwise @ekpotek and everyone
As proof of employment, must I submit my employment offer letter given at start of job ?
Or
Will letter of introduction from my employer detailing my position, income, duration of job and leave suffice? Together with payslips and bank statement
Also, I traveled to the UK in 2011 on a student's visa, at the POE, I wrote my uncles address as the place I was staying. We were not asked where we'll stay on the tier 4 visa form, we just needed to show we have enough money for Maintenance. Do I need to put my uncle as part of relatives in the UK? though on the GOVUK site, the only options are for immediate family such as parents and siblings.
I'm booking a hotel for the trip.
Thank you very much. You can use any of them or both. If asked in the form put your uncle's name and address but state there that you will not be staying with him. |

Ndyoo: I really don't know how you do it. To have the knowledge to digest these informations and still correct them when they are wrong or chip in your own information which is right most times. And you do it for so many thread in the travel section. I still remember the good old days when I was in "Travelling to Germany" Section trying to find my way here. You are there with your online police uniform, cutting them scammers off. You have really contributed in making sure that a lot of Nigerians who wants to leave Nigeria for greener pasture succeeded.
All these free here, free that in Germany is true until you come and live here. Osho Free dey run belle. Yes you don't pay like you do in the UK, but you pay semester contribution, health insurance, semester ticket, housing and your living expenses. At the end of the day if you didn't start to work from the first semester that you came here, there won't be anything left out of the 8000€ you came with. The system is always designed not for you to be so rich. You live a modest life and if there's anything that makes you so rich, it's because our money doesn't have value and you can change 1€ to 463 naira. Is coming to Germany worth the trouble?
Yes at least, something works here... I try as much as i can to read beyond headlines to small print because that is where the devil is when it comes to immigration rules. Many Nigerians don't bother reading or researching before investing their millions into foreign education and when reality hit them they come here to cry their eyes out. If you are holding a student visa you need to know what you are entitled to during and after graduation. Unless you win a lottery or a criminal you don't get rich quick in the west but you will live a comfortable life style. No foreign govt owes you a job just because you studied in their country, that is the responsibility of Nigerian govt. |

Berliner1: Yes...this is true. Have pointed this out in my ealier post. But the money still belongs to them. Once you arrive here you can unblock it and 720 euro will be dispence to you for 12 months. Yes and you have monthly insurance to pay as well and if you are over 30yrs of age then your insurance rate is higher. To survive in Germany you have to learn the language. So in total this is not free. |

I'd like to believe there are conditions to qualify and getting that free education?
I don't want to believe it's an opportunity that is available to any immigrant who can just come into the country.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. Good question! yes its not completely free as people push it here. You have to deposit 8,700 euros in blocked account in German bank as part of financial requirement. |

Dear XXXXX
Regarding Visa Application: XXXXX
For: XXXXX
Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.
Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.
We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.
Kind Regards,
UK Decision Making Centre This is normal when they couldn't finish your application within allocated time. They will contact you when your application is ready. |

hajimuktar: Cost of Flight ---300,000naira
Cost of accommodation ---300,000 naira
Living expenses shopping etc--280,000naira Reduce your cost of flight and accommodation, look for budget hotels in the U.K like travelodge, premier Inn, holiday Inn etc. You will be able to get a night in hotel accommodation for about £60-70, hotels in central London or closer to airports are very expensive so avoid them. Shop for cheaper flight to reduce your overall cost. You don't need to add shopping in your list rather replace that was sightseeing and name few places you will be visiting while in the U.K. When reapplying make sure that you attach cost breakdown to show the ECO how you plan to spend that money. £1800 in 7days is high, bring that down when you get a better deals in hotel and flight. |

hajimuktar: @Justwise please kindly advise me on what to do next I have been refused, The refusal letter states
You have stated that you plan to visit the UK for 7 days and that it will cost you £1800.As evidence of your finances you provided your UBA statement which shows your closing balance of 1,570,085.35NGN (3,099.88 at an c exchange rate of 1£ to 506naira..The Cost of ur day trip is approximately 58per cent the funds in ur account
2.I also note that you are single with no dependent children . From your application form and documents submitted, I am not satisfied that you have ties to indicate that you would leave upon the U.K upon completion of your visit.I am not convinced ur circumstances are as stated and that you ate genuinely seeking entry as a visitor, Your application is therefore refused under V4.2 (a) & (C).
In view of the above ,I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds to cover all reasonable cost in relation to your visit.
I earn 320,000k per month What is your trip cost breakdown that accumulated to £1800 under 7days? |

MamaGiovanni: @justwise @ekpotek and any other person that can help.
Pls I need some advice in filling the confusing part of savings in the accessuk online application.
I have about £4000 saved over time from my salary income. It's in the same account where my salary is paid monthly. Do I declare it as savings? I know someone who was recently refused on account of this issue.
The person had some unspent money in her salary current account. But put in the application that she had no savings. One of the reasons she was refused was that she didn't declare any savings. Since the money is not in a separate account you don't declare it as savings, as long as you have enough money for the trip that is what matters. |

ogogo24: Hello house, thanks for the good work.
I applied for a visit visa, but made a mistake on the date of birth and only realized it after submission and appointment booking. I cancelled the application by requesting a refund and commenced completing a fresh application. I received a mail that I will be informed if my refund/cancellation is approved...
Has anyone had similar experience? How long does it usually take to reach a decision on this?...can't submit the new application as I'm yet to get a confirmation of cancellation on the erroneous one.
Also, does a temporary visit visa holder in the UK has a right to invite a spouse over? There is no specific time for that but I think they will make a quick decision on that. You will find it difficult to invite your spouse over on visiting visa. |

Laminat: Hello Mr. Justwise and other members of the forum, can you pls review my case now, Ihave re- uploaded the attachment.
It was unfortunate the ECO didn't read my cover letter where I stated that the said #400k was a refund of the money I earlier lent my blood brother( as evident in my statement of acct). Going forward, Please sirs I have the following questions: 1. Can I additionally( including cover letter) provide any cash flow issues in the body of the application form where additional information is sought?? 2. Do I need to submit a new application or there is a way to modify the previous application 3. How helpful is the pension statement of acct in ECo decision 4. Any useful hints. Thanks and God bless Please list those documents you submitted for the application |

kessel: @Albion05[b]
Take calm your nerve bro, in conjunction with justwise advice, please do take time to go through your documents again, you never can tell what you missed, still go ahead with the legal proceedings, even countries can sue and be sued, hence, legal proceedings is allowed(here i disagree with justwise and SantaClause advice),the refusal, its their right but the ban, its not, they have only called you fraudulent by banning you and that is only a measure taken when its has been proven beyond every reasonable doubt that some documents you submitted were fake.
[b]@Amy3050
Please oo, no go crash before the grant show for it must surely come.
@Saltino40
We don do musical instrument biz finish abi wey u wan leave me run go OZ... Everyone waiting for grant, please play it cool and hope for the best... Peace. You are wrong, you can’t sue any country for refusing you a visa or banning you but you can appeal the ban if there is a provision for that. Any country has the right to turn you back at the Poe even with valid visa and there is nothing you can do about it. |
