saouri: Meaningless BIBLE quoting There are quotes from the Bible that are meaningless? Really?
Don't bring $hit down upon yourself for the sake of *hailings* or affirmation from people who won't be able to deliver you. Don't bring $hit down upon yourself FOR NOTHING...
If you like BAN, EVICT, EXCOMMUNICATE or whatever you think the *power* on here can give you... That is the worst you can do. That is the limit of your perceived "power".
Point made. Those who have taken it have. I have changed minds ☺ The thread has succeeded, literally with your help Yes and you are perfect example of it, it's useful when used correctly but Militant Christians like you make a mockery of the bible. In terms of top destination for foreign students the U.K. Ranked second in the world with US taking top spot. Your thread probably change the minds of unserious and potential immigrations like you and not any serious student. By the way thanks for the traffic |

onatisi: Buhari,Boko Haram, Fulanis herdmen, ipob, lol Those are not valid reasons because millions of people are still living in Nigeria and Nigerian govt hasn't declared national disaster as a result those issues you listed. Spain or Italy is not the next country to Nigeria, so if your life is in danger then you would't have time to apply for visa and fly all the way to Italy to claim asylum, there are many African countries that will cost you close to nothing to get to. |

Jorussia: bros why you dey argue with me na?i just told u SB i know very well (the dad even came to my house a day before yesterday) was granted asylum and giving two years permit just three weeks ago.what i am not sure of is if they still accept fresh applications for asylum.my brother i be Bini boy and i know what's up for IT. Is that enough evidence to believe you? |

Jorussia: Italy still grants asylum to Nigerians, although not as easy as it was let's say two years before now.I know of somebody who was giving two years residence permit last month from the same detention camp.what i am not sure of is if they still accept fresh applications for asylum. Bros Italy don't grant asylum to Nigerians, even Africans from war ravaged countries find it very difficult to get a asylum. Italy can't cope with the huge amount of asylum seekers coming from Libya including dead bodies brought out from Mediterranean sea |

Jorussia: if she can transit to Italy, let her try it.Italy grants Nigerians asylum. That is not true, Nigerians that were lucky to get there from Libya are still languishing in detention centers Italy is suffering from thousands of immigrants from Libya and its the last place any Nigerian should run to for asylum. Let me ask again..what will be the reason for the asylum? |

May the ground shift under you! May you fall off your high horse into the dust with gnashing of teeth! When you try to get back on your feet, may you consistently stumble!
It is you and your generations that are "poor things"...
You don't know when to stop. You will learn a life lesson trolling on here.. Keep at it ☺ here we go with meaningless bible quoting. You lived and studied in the UK still this phrase: 'You poor thing' come across to you as an insult? Its a idiomatic English expression, it does not literally mean that you are poor. I'm just going to pretend as if i did not read those curses from you because it means nothing to me. |

Lolas89: I actually mailed them to ask if I can change it but they said no that I should withdraw the application and I said OK to the withdrawal and they said they will return my passport within 15working days. So I was just waiting for them to return it so I can reapply.
Then I got the usual passport ready for collection yesterday evening. When I got to tsl and they gave me my passport I just noticed a paper in it so I already gave up that it's the refusal letter so I didn't bother checking the passport, just opened the folded sheet to see that my application was successful and my passport stamped. Come and see the way I shout for inside danfo. The lord is good, he is kind and faithful. This is really good, i'm not sure i have come across a case like this before. I'm glad that it worked out for you, congratulations once again. |

LaudableXX: You are trying to cover up your blunders! Just swerve, biko. I can only research and present the info here but the ability to comprehend is down to you. Switching from tier 4 visa to 2 tier gives one the opportunity to remain without leaving the UK if successful and eventually a citizen after 5. This is not hard to understand. |

The info at that link highlights the different grades of UK Visas, and does not perpetuate your myth that Nigerian students can stay back and work in the UK, after they have received their degree. LaudableXX: Don't believe that guy. He is just exaggerating and misleading people. UK policy says Nigerian students can't work in the UK, after completing their studies. They should go back home. Isn't that what this thread is about? Without sponsorship by a company, even firms that would accept STEM graduates in the UK, would NOT offer foreign students from Nigeria, a job. It is very difficult to get such sponsorships. They are extremely few and far between. Someone mentioned a 2% chance of getting a job, under such circumstances. So what da heck is that chap saying..? Let him keep deceiving himself with his long grammar. Another lies from one of the uniformed. See my attachment and the highlighted part https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/switch-to-this-visaThis is my point..people can't read or bothered to research anything

Kingsley10000: you definately can't use work visa because there is no guarantee job offer or an invitation by any institute or company unless u can start online job hunting and enquiry.you can use student visa,if u wanna combine academics with ur main motive(hustle)..i suggest u go with tourist visa since u're broke.with 30days b4 expiry date,if u're fortunate u can get a job(they will process ur work/residence permit i mean the company or ur place of work) its advicable to have someone that wil pick u from airport to avoid hotel exhorbitant charges Is that not misleading? |

jnyuwa02: They do? In 3 minutes? My friend's documents were not even looked at. It was all handed to them during the interview. They only perused the documents and handed it back to him. They asked him questions and in less than three minutes, he was denied. The same thing I hear from other applicants who were denied or approved. They have special cases where if they want to grant you but have questions about your documents, they withhold them for administrative review. This is the only sets that are verified from the best of my knowledge. Regardless, this should not even be a subject matter of discussion here in my opinion, if people just simply obeyed the rules and submit authentic stuff. If there is a question mark about documents you presented they will withhold those documents and passport and put you under AR to run a check on them. This is not the same as saying they don't verify anything. |

saouri: Dear All,
It is with a deep sense of responsibility and awareness I am writing you this article today.
For years we have been going to schools in the UK and other parts of the EU. In the past, up to around 2009/2010, we used to get opportunities to stay back in the UK in particular and get job opportunities but in the last 7 to 8 years this has not been the case. Now as soon as you graduate from your university, you are expected to get out of the UK.
Please bear in mind that as international students, you PAY MORE to get the same education as your UK and EU counterparts but you DO NOT get the same employment opportunities. The UK will rather employ someone from the EU (or has an EU country passport) who cannot speak even 4.0 IELTS level of english and 4 months working experience, than employ you who has 5 to 7 years working experience with a 7.5 to 8.5IELTS level of english. They know that the situation in Nigeria is getting worse by the day with the joke that we have as leaders, especially in the aspect of employment. Some people will say be innovative, be an entrepreneur; my people, please do not allow motivational speakers deceive you. Entrepreneurship is difficult. It is not as glamorous as instagram makes it look. Also, entrepreneurship is NOT for everybody. Many people need real jobs! Please ask yourself the following; - Why are you really going to school in the UK? - Why are you paying higher amounts of money to get an education which does not give you the same employment opportunities as your counterparts? - Is marrying a UK/EU citizen because of papers worth it? - Is it really worth it to stay back in the UK illegally? - Why are you making the UK richer by driving up the value of the pound against the Naira by paying schools fees and visa fees in pounds? - Why can’t those schools have accounts in Nigeria and you pay all the necessary fees in Naira?
Once upon a time the Naira was more valuable than the pound. My people, Think!!! Nigerians are excluded from so many life changing opportunities for African youth such as the ALL BAR NONE scholarship, the DFID scholarships, the Barclays Rising Eagles programme (and Barclays has a branch in Lagos) etc.
I totally understand your need to migrate from the horrible economic and employment situation but I would advise you all to look at countries that use the point-based system and actually value your education or work experience in their country.
As a Nigerian, you cannot receive money in your Naira account through PAYPAL but you are encouraged to spend/buy using the same PAYPAL. If you can sell on Ebay, you can make money from home by selling things to people all over the world. We need a wakeup call.
Just so you know, I have personal experience living and working in the UK. To date, it has not given me any employment anywhere.
Even if you have parents that were legally British, because you were not born there in the UK, the Home office is not just going to hand you nationality. No. My country people please understand the UK DOES NOT WANT YOU...
I hope that this write up can dissuade many of you to look away from the UK or the EU. Leave them alone. Delta007: Dude, you are better than this. Nothing you posted contradicts the OP.
Are foreign students still getting jobs in the UK? Yes.
Are majority foreign students (with all the planning required), getting jobs in the UK after their studies? No. This has been the case for almost a decade. You seems to be one of those who read the title and jump to conclusion. We are not saying the same thing. I'm saying that Nigerian students can still get a job in the UK after graduation while he is saying that the opportunities are not there that they rather employ EU citizens with little qualification than Nigerians with 7yrs experience. Then he ended it by saying: 'the UK DOES NOT WANT YOU' Nigerians are eligible for DFID scholarships contrarily to his claim that Nigerians are excluded. My whole point in this thread is for people to be objective and not this false generalization, for the fact that it did not workout for you does not mean that others are not getting the job. There are so many reasons why one failed to get a job in the UK after graduation..your grade, school you graduated from, the course you studied, late application and not just immigration policies. You are not education anybody when you make this sort of false generalization. |
